Marcelines streets did used to be brick. In fact if you turn right at the end of main street usa on to Gracia St you will see an actual block or two of original brick road that has been preserved

It's so interesting to see your perspective on Marceline and Chilicothe and all the little towns in the Midwest because I grew up in a town just like Marceline and not too far from it and small towns where everybody knows everyone and life is simple is what I'm used too and Marceline was not a shock either it was just like my town, a railroad stop, and built around the railroad. Your videos make me so happy keep them up and your always welcome in Missouri or really anywhere in the Midwest!

I literally can't even think of what to comment on because so much of this video affected me. Probably the best part for me is the train at the end, but the whole thing with the barn and Disney's house and talking about inspiration gave me so much, well, inspiration, to keep going on what I've been doing that I'm just completely blown away right now. I'm adding Marceline to my list of places to visit on my next cross-country road trip! Thanks, Justin :)

Hey Justin, when trying to cut up a loaf of bread, it's best to wait and let the loaf cool for about the same amount of time it took to bake.
When it first comes out of the oven the exterior will be hard as rock, but as it cools, the internal steam incorporates back into the loaf causing it to soften up and improve the texture. Then it's easy to cut.
Took me a while to figure that one out.

It's cool to see you back in Marceline. It's too bad more people don't go see places like Marceline the way the do with Route 66. What's cool though is Cars Land is like a Modern Main Street USA, taking us back in time the same amount Main Street USA did in the 50s. I love Disney and it's great to see you at the parks, but it's just as great to see you visit real places, if they have a link to Disney or not. As great as Disney is, it's just one of many great things about this country and its too bad more people don't appreciate everything equally like you do.

  • @neovision9831

Justin have you seen the movie Walt: Before Mickey on Netflix? It is a good movie. It documents Walt's life living in Missouri, and him starting Laugh o Grams studios. And also stating the Disney company in California. It is an independent movie so it is a little low budget, but with a couple of famous movie stars such as Thomas Ian Nicholas (American Pie) as Walt Disney and Jon Heder (napoleon Dynamite ) as Roy Disney. I think you would like it being such a fan of the man Walt Disney.

There must be a lot of advertising signs hidden between the walls of historic buildings. Decades ago in Downtown Redlands, an old building was torn down, revealing an advertising sign for Mermaid Queen Soap. It's still there, now as decoration for a small park.

I totally get why Walt would want to copy small town USA. I grew up in the Midwest and lived in small towns you could walk from one side to the other. in my teens my parents moved us to the east coast burbs and it was almost like culture shock. Now in my 30s, I'm looking to move back to a small town, slow down, and be quiet. I totally miss that about the Midwest.
