I have so many regrets not knowing this was here when I was at my grandmother's funeral this year in Deming. Her father, my Great Grandfather Rosser Degraffenried, ran a trading post down there prior to 1951 I believe. I wonder if it's the same place evolved? 🤔 Thank you for posting! FYI: Betty at the NAN Ranch just above Deming in the mountains will let you rockhound there if you stay at their INCREDIBLE AB&B. 😍 No big excavation, of course, but there's so much to see. Tell Betty that Natasha from Iowa sent you! Their place has a pool, an archeological dig you can go through & find arrowheads 😍, and 60+ acres. If you go in July you might be lucky enough to get flooded in like we did! It was a dream & perfect temperatures in July!!
Rock shop in Deming!!!!? Cpl decades ago I use to.live n loved rock hounding. I use to day dream of having a rock business and a shop. I didn't know there was such a thing. Lol. Fantastic!
I have spent countless hours looking through those boxes. Most times I went in there was something new I also had to admire. Much love for Black Hat Trading!
Very awesome I would love to go there a lot of killer rocks I would love some of that crazy lace one of my favorites ❤️ your awesome 😎 thank you for the video 📸
Wow. So many cool rocks. I hope you had a lot of fun playing in the rock yard. Bed time for me. Thank you sooooooo much for my beautiful Bismuth that arrived yesterday. The most beautiful little package - and is there a story to the turquoise necklace? Many thanks my dear friend. Sending you much love.
Superfund site of the future. As many rock yards are. All that plastic degrading already will make the soil toxic wasteland. I love rocks but we need to take care of the earth that provides us this bounty of beauty.
It's oxtail, and that the biggest problem today is people making up names for things, to make them seem fancier or more valuable than they are, it's ridiculous, as I can call this whatever I want as it looks similar if you squint your eyes and tilt your head, its stupid
Exactly! I Saw that recently with indigo gabbro. Some people call it mystic merlinite cause it's sexyier and fancyier! But it's nothing but a commercial name for people who send it 3 times the price !

Lapis I believe originated from South America in the country of Chole
So much material at that shop! I wish there were shops like that in my area. At 53:47 what could those broken pieces of pottery be used for?
some people make jewelry out of them some use them them for sculpture and decor
Kitty sold me!
What a shop, but a long way from everywhere else.
Not a huge fan of turquoise but love agate.
