I grew up in Namibia where semi precious stones are also so abundant. I love my string of Amethyst beads, my blue Sodalites,Zeolite,Rose quartz, Garnets,Tiger eyes,Agates. Namibia and South Africa are rich in all of these semi precious stones❤
I lived out west most my life and never got into lapidary once. I moved to TX and now getting into cutting and polishing stones like jasper and agates. Now I want to go back out west to get me some rocks! haha!

my friend, I do not take it personally and I will tell you the gosh, honest truth if I saw the sign, I wouldn’t have touched it. We are great my friend you’re totally my family to not sweat it at all. ❤️
Alot of beads you pick up, could be used for buttons on bulky sweaters and coats…don’t. Limit yourself to necklaces. And stone beads would make great back splashes and bathroom counter tops😊

Gem world in Pheonix is always a must stop for me but I guess I need to visit this location now too! I'm not a big fan of their "souvenirs" and kitchy stuff but it's always worth digging through their specimen boxes.
Hi Hannah!! Where is the Phoenix location at??? I want to go, I go to the Rock/gem shop at Arizona Mills: Baseline and 1-10..everyone knows where the Az. Mills huge new mall is, not so new now really..and where is this Gem world where he is videoing at now?? Hey Dave, you videos are cool! I'm interested in making my own flat lap. Have been looking for the table top tile saw to modify, but just saw your use of drill press. What kind of lapping disc are you using? Are you using a master lap or backing? Just getting into it, lots of questions. Thanks!
hello there i use cheap master laps made overseas sold by amazon i don’t know the exact brand of generic unfortunately and i haven’t been using master laps for the more aggressive hard metal laps but if i was finishing me stones i’m a flat lap and was using prepolishing disks i would have to figure something out thanks for watching my friend i really appreciate it

Awesome video mate, wish we had gemworld here in Aus haha We're trying to break into to u.s market atm with our opals. We heard that in America there are over 60,000 Lapidary groups and shops. That sounds amazing! Plus the youtube community focusing on gems, gold, mining and cutting are great and seem like a great bunch.
their website it is impossible to maintain and stay updated. They have so much stuff come in and out as fast as it comes in. I don’t even know why they have a website. Your best bet is to give them a call and ask them if they have any between the three stores that they operate around Arizona
Never mind I found it. It’s called Arizona gift center in Apache junction. Can’t believe I didn’t know about it. Maybe the name helps keep it a secret.
good question i imagine there had to be something similar it doesn’t come to mine off the top of my head, but I will ask around and get back to you on that
are you asking why they don’t have a storefront in the East Coast? All three gym words are ran by the same guy and for the most part only a day, Drive away from each other and his coach store would be pretty successful, but hard to manage from across the country.
not too bad they already exist in a few different forms. Mostly just hippies wire, wrapping slabs, roughly shaved into lenses. It will definitely work it’s just gonna take somebody with some faith in a little bit of start up money but it’s a guaranteed money making idea.
How many people know of “rock hounds” who passed and left their heirs hundreds of pounds of garden quality rocks to dispose of? This is apparently where a lot of that worthless rock comes from.
