One of the best reasons to keep the Qubuz app around is because the service lets you pay to own copies of hi-res music that you listen to. On top of offering links to purchase tickets to see artists you like perform if they tour just like Spotify does. A lot of streaming apps rarely even offer the bare minimum that Spotify does, and Qubuz goes above and beyond what Spotify does. That all said I ripped files from all the above streaming services and even recorded audio live as it played through all my phones and other devices to various PCs through the years with the explicit intentions to test their quality. Spotify's audio quality may not be considered hi-res, but actual 192kHz 24-bit lossless WAV format audio vs Spotify in very high quality are perceptibly identical when played back on basically every device I have tested over the past 10-ish years. Even devices that existed before Qubuz as a service existed that could handle lossless encoded audio, which, when reencoded to lossy formats and had obviously different waveforms in applications made to measure such things or mix music still wound up being identical after being recorded via an analog source. This means a certified Hi-Res master file will be played back through most devices, including PC headset ports at CD quality, even with HW, which is well above the spec to handle some genuine Hi-Res audio. The main issue I have with Q, the app is finnicky, and the music discovery isn't as polished. The flip side, they have a fantastic active collection of writers and the articles/write ups in the service are surprisingly fun to dig through.
@@SomeGadgetGuy I've kind of given up on good discovery, so that's not an issue. Too picky, if I'm feeling kind. Probably just getting too old 🙃 Having articles and write ups is actually interesting.
Even though my band's music is up on all of these streaming sites, I still have yet to use a streaming service. I'm just so invested in the older method. I have a massive CD collection, sometimes I'll just play those. But I still rip them onto iTunes (and occasionally buy individual songs from the store). Then I sync the library onto my rebuilt SSD iPod Classic and my Xperia 1 III. All of my files are AAC/M4A, so a bit better than MP3 but not quite WAV/CD, but good enough for my ears. But yeah being an artist myself, I can confirm, we've made infinitely more money (still not much at all) selling a couple hundred CD's at gigs for $5 a pop, as opposed to our few thousand Spotify/Apple/Tidal/etc streams.
quboz feels like MY OWN library. not just a damn add on thing . i do NOT care about "new music discovery" and I wish every streaming service would have a setting where you could turn this completely off . I know what I want and that's that
The only real reason I’ve kept YTM is that I am grandfathered in and don’t watch YT ads. I have spoitfy through a family account (not payer), but will consider Qobuz.
I REALLY wish I had kept the older Google subs I had to see if I would have been grandfathered in on YTM. Qobuz got me now though. I think it's TOTALLY worth the test drive.
I like Qobuzz, the sound quality beats Tidal IMO...Amazon is pretty good too. The biggest issue I have with Qobuz is their discovery/suggestion system is nonexistent.
It's not great, but the way they publish articles, and list playlists KINDA gets me over that hump. If that's what I have to trade for higher quality, at the same price, with better payouts to artists, I can live with that.
@@SomeGadgetGuy I like their playlists as well, but the way Spotify, Tidal, or Amazon picks up on what you listen to is what's missing. I still have the service since I know what I'm gonna be listening to and have been working on curating personal playlists. Audio wise though, it is on another level on DACs and amps. I didn't know what the MQA controversy was until I got on Qobuz and man the sound opens up, to my ears at least. Tidal sounds darker.

@@SomeGadgetGuy I did. But often people think they are supporting the artist while in fact it's the rights holder. F.e. when you buy a CD; if the artist doesn't have the rights to their own songs, they hardly make any money from that. And I'm pretty sure a streaming service doesn't deal with the artists anyway apart from the ones that have their own rights. Why should they? Unless it's for a commercial deal. Or maybe for f.e. concert versions of their songs.
Just curious, but can you actually hear the difference of a “high bit rate” compressed audio format e.g. 320kbps MP3/Orbis vs a lossless recording if they’re the same master via ABX testing? Does one sound noticeably better or do you just know what differences to look for to tell them apart and you’d be fine w/ the lossy version? It’s difficult for me even w/ my JDS Labs El Dac and Focal Elex. Maybe my hearing just sucks haha
Anecdotal, but I can. I've done those AB tests to justify my hoarding of flac files. It depends on the complexity of the track, but it can be fairly obvious. MP3 sounds compressed, crunchy, and grainy when it tries to portray too much at once. But there's other stuff that isn't complex enough for it to matter, to my ear. I should note that in hearing tests I'm only average, if not a bit below average.
If you can hear the crackle and sizzle of bacon frying in a pan you can probably hear the beauty of HI Def music. Now cover the bacon with a rag and that's what MP3 sounds like. You lose the crispness and depth of your music.
Great video.I’ve just gone from Apple Music to Qobuz last week and my only regret is I didn’t do it a year ago when I bought a Dac.love the service.brilliant stream quality.i think I’ll be staying with them for quite some time.apple get your act together! Embarrassing 😳
After years with Apple Music and Spotify, I’ve switched and gone ALL IN with Roon + Qobuz! Paid my annual subscription for Qobuz this year and bought the lifetime subscription of Roon so I’m dead serious about my investment as you can see. And I am truly happy to report that I’m INCREDIBLY satisfied! Apple and Spotify may have the quantity, but quality is way more important to me.
I am using Qobuz and was wondering if you are using Roon's Nucleus? My stereo is Esoteric gear and it has it's bugs with Qobuz... It was suggested I add Roon and just wanted to know if anyone who uses the Nucleus thinks it's worth the cost? TY Joe
My ears could not tell the difference using HiFi equipment between lossless and high bit lossy music so I go for best interface to the content I listen. And the price. Right now I am using TH-cam Music (great integration with Android) and Amazon Music - I keep flipping between them. So if Rogan is "your boy" - Spotify it is, Howard Stern - Sirius XM. For music I am happy with Amazon.
Same goes here, some genre I tend to listen were quite niche and pretty much all the artist I know publish on Spotify but not on Quobuz. I could just subscribe to another one, but too many bills to spend and another subscription service to pay. Instead I just buy the album if I can find a FLAC for them, if they are locally available, then CD would do.
I liked the service when I have used it but then noticed that a lot of songs I listened to are not on the service since most of the songs I listen to are meme songs made by youtubers so that was a bummer in a way. I will think about giving qobuz a try again.
I have Amazon music and I say it's pretty good. But I have been wanting to get away from it so I don't have to put more money into Jeff's pocket. Plus the subscription has has improved but they did go up in the subscription fee. I honestly see it to be like Netflix in price decision making.
I use TH-cam music for most of my music, especially when I'm on the go, but listen to local files if I want specific genres, or I'm doing something where I'd appreciate the song more like reading a novel.
Same here. I was local music only as I've had far too many issues with streaming services, however I ran into Japanese music I couldn't buy locally and TH-cam music solved that problem. Now I have the best of both worlds😊
@@SomeGadgetGuy I would love to have a system like that or all my music in high quality, but I doubt I'd be able to find Nigerian music in high quality easily.
In a sense you're correct, but I like to think of an audio chain as a journey. Parts of that chain will be upgraded before others. You could start with amazing new headphones, but then you'd be listening to poorer compressed audio. So if Qobuz has the catalog of music you like, and you like that they pay out better than aost every other service, you could start there and know your current headphones were at least getting CD quality again across the whole catalog.
I'm trying the free versions of deezer, qobuz, and napster, my spotify has been very buggy recently and my only gripe with these 3 is that I can't get them on my apple tv or alexa
Solid. My jams run a wide gamut. Classic stuff like tribe and Busta, to The Roots and RTJ, and I just listened to the new Nas. Might be some gaps in the more obscure/indie stuff, but I've been really happy so far.
Thank you for making this video, I have been with Spotify for 8 years. But I have been waiting for a hi-rez service like this for awhile now. I am about to try the free month and cancel Spotify to see how it is.
Qobuz keeps it pretty simple. In order of size: -MP3 @ 320kbps -CD Quality 16-bit/44.1kHZ (FLAC) -Hi-Res 24-Bit up to 96kHz (FLAC) -Hi-Res 24-bit up to 192kHz (FLAC) All of these quality settings are available for the same subscription price. Qobuz starts a bit on the pricey side, but you don't have to pay more for the super-ultra-premium tier.
What's your opinion on amazon music, I have it with my student account and started noticing "ultra HD" label everywhere. Sounding good on my pixal 4a and really good on my V60.
I was very pleased with their move to improve quality without completely jacking up the price. I partnered with them during my Snapdragon Sound interview to showcase improved BT audio quality.
Hey man thanks for the video,I dont know anything about tech, I am musician and just want the best sound I Can get with my phone and LDAC bluetooth mx50bt2. Do you think paying extra with qobuz will be noticeable? Or cd quality is enough?. Anyway thanks, keep it UP!

The only thing I prefer with Spotify over Apple Music, is the cross fade out and in to the next track. The quality is much better with lossless on wired ear buds with Apple.
Aw yeah. Deezer is another near the top of my list. Very good catalog, decent price, and I believe they pay out artists better than most other services too.
TH-cam music is so horrible. I tried to use it because it's "free" with my music system. But it's just awful. Will this allow me to sync a library from my computer? How do I listen to MY ACTUAL MUSIC it's so difficult these days to do such basic shit.
We keep giving up practical features. Like headphone jacks and memory card slots on phones, that hardware helped establish a certain use for media files. I run a few apps for media management for my phones and my NAS, but largely I just go manual and organize songs and folders myself for my downloaded music collection.
I'll suffer SOME UI gremlins if price/quality is GREAT. Qobuz + my crazy collection on my NAS is confirmation there. Neither my NAS app nor the Qobuz app are "amazing" LOL.
@@subugatai7377 Yeah, it also crashed sometimes, I think is due to synchronizing with the it's catalog and since they constantly add high end quality music it could create issues to even high end phones... Which is... Incredible in its own way.
Qobuz is the best for high quality sound. But they're algorithms for suggested music are atrociously bad. I have high-end gear and will 100% agree that Qobuz sounds the best. But god they got to work on their algorithms and suggested music. I have recently left them but only because finding music I like with their algorithms is horrible. They do also need to add more albums. If you only listen to mainstream music, you're good to go. Unfortunately, I listen to almost zero mainstream music.
Totally worth a test drive on Qobuz if you like the Master quality tracks. They still have the largest collection of higher than CD quality files available to stream, and they don't charge extra to stream high quality.
Oh yeah. That's gonna be a bummer if you need that kind of direct hardware support. It's another reason to keep an old DAP or phone around if you dig on this kind of audio game though. It's an extra cable, but then you're not tied to any default services that were built in. Kinda the TV+VCR combo of the digital era 😅
As long as you're not abandoning Spotify for their support of Joe Rogan but for actual service issues, I think it is a valid reason. I myself would love a service that has higher bitrate streaming. Thankfully, Apple has Lossless.

Right. The choice to leave a platform is just as valid as the choice to stay. You don't get to decide what a "good" reason for someone to leave is anymore than I get to decide for you what YOU should listen to.
It's a bigger free speech issue to support compelled speech. If a private platform doesnt want to host someone's content, they shouldn't be forced to host it. That way lies actual fascism. Freedom of speech is ALSO the right to remain silent.
Qobuz does sound better than Apple music on my android phone apps listening through Ananda headphones. If they make an app for apple tv android tv or roku I'd subscribe to them.
I would use this but I don't listen to music at home much, I don't have high quality headphones or equipment to power headphones of that caliber, and I use mostly wireless headphones so it wouldn't benefit me personally. But then paying artist even more than tidal? cant be mad at that
I use TH-cam music when driving in my car. But at home or work, I'm using Qobuz. The difference in quality is immediately noticeable with a good pair of headphones/earbuds. It has changed the way I interact with music. It went from background noise to something I want to sit down and get lost.
Yeah TH-cam music as well. Because I pay to get rid of the ads on TH-cam videos, I don't want to pay again for another music streaming service especially when all my ripped CDs and downloads are on TH-cam music anyway. Downside is the reduction in quality.
@@christheturdherder9096 well said. You must have a whole system to enjoy Qobuz properly. A good audio system to enjoy the music as it should. The mindsets are different, the purposes, i could say.

Interesting take on why you went with Qobuz. I'm not a Spotify fan myself. In the near future, I plan on subscribing to Flex. Now I'm wondering how long it will be before you end up with Roon or Audirvana 😂. Where I don't agree is catalog, Qobuz isn't a robust as some, getting better but I find Spotify, Tidal, and Amazon have more of the stuff I listen to.
I mean, you can disagree, but the catalog sizes are roughly the same now. There are obviously going to be gaps in ANY catalog, so you shop where you can get the music you want. Like, as a random example, If I want to listen to Joni Mitchell...
I like the idea of paying the artists more and high quality streaming but after researching I found that I couldn’t leave spotify for them. Because radio is so bad at playing a variety of artists , new or old , we need a way to discover music. Qobuz is lacking in comparison to spotify when it comes to finding new artists/songs and they are still working bugs out of their user interface.
That's why I like the Qobuz publications. They run interviews and articles like a legit old school music magazine. I'll take that over the spotify curation tools to also get higher quality audio.

Probably just getting too old 🙃
Having articles and write ups is actually interesting.
@@AndyPanayiotou27 Yeah Q has a *very* large collection of artist/genre/time-period/etc "Panoramas" (as they call them) that are absolutely fantastic.
Oh I still run a chunk of my NAS for a huge collection of flac files and CD rips. That's why I like qobuz. Everything is at least CD quality.
Qobuz for me. Sounds better than Apples lossless and hi res
quboz feels like MY OWN library. not just a damn add on thing . i do NOT care about "new music discovery" and I wish every streaming service would have a setting where you could turn this completely off .
Only sheeple need shepherds.
@@machtschnell7452 every Shepherd needs another Shepherd to learn from at one point. I'm not letting the AI tell me what to listen to, I am telling the AI what I would like to listen to and see if it helps. Thanks for your wonderful comment though
Do they pay artists? Or the rightsholders?
Did you watch the video?
Yes. www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2016/06/160627214255.htm
Yes if you got high end equipment the different very clear the clarity and sharpness. If crappy equipment won't make much difference
If you can hear the crackle and sizzle of bacon frying in a pan you can probably hear the beauty of HI Def music. Now cover the bacon with a rag and that's what MP3 sounds like. You lose the crispness and depth of your music.
100% different. Even with mx40s via apple iPhone dongle.
TY
Joe
My ears could not tell the difference using HiFi equipment between lossless and high bit lossy music so I go for best interface to the content I listen. And the price. Right now I am using TH-cam Music (great integration with Android) and Amazon Music - I keep flipping between them. So if Rogan is "your boy" - Spotify it is, Howard Stern - Sirius XM. For music I am happy with Amazon.
how can i enter qobuz if its not available in my country?
I can't leave spotify because of the genre of music I listen to.
I can't talk any trash about Amazon. I was impressed with their early partnership with Qualcomm on Snapdragon Sound. It really is a solid service.
I use TH-cam music for most of my music, especially when I'm on the go, but listen to local files if I want specific genres, or I'm doing something where I'd appreciate the song more like reading a novel.
How I was rocking my music collection on my NAS. Now i dig being able to do both at HIGH quality.
Is Amazon HD as good sounding?
Using Audeze Maxwell with Bluetooth, I compared Deezer music to Qobuz and immediately switched to Qobuz.
It's so good.
Do you know of any usb-c headphones
Setting things straight OUTSET! Love it
That was refreshing
Does Qobuz let you connect with Google home devices to play music.
There's the broadcast feature. I throw qobuz to my TV and sound bar through my Chromecast.
I have a question. Is it fairly safe to say that it might as well be a requirement to have the most high end speakers or earbuds to truly enjoy Qobuz?
In a sense you're correct, but I like to think of an audio chain as a journey. Parts of that chain will be upgraded before others. You could start with amazing new headphones, but then you'd be listening to poorer compressed audio.
So if Qobuz has the catalog of music you like, and you like that they pay out better than aost every other service, you could start there and know your current headphones were at least getting CD quality again across the whole catalog.
I am a HUGE 80s rock fan. How do their playlists fair with that?
I'm trying the free versions of deezer, qobuz, and napster, my spotify has been very buggy recently and my only gripe with these 3 is that I can't get them on my apple tv or alexa
Still with Qobuz, still dig the service, but DEFINITELY check the catalogs for your favorite songs.
So MP3 isn't CD quality sound?
Nope. Quite a bit more compressed than CD quality.
How is the Hip Hop selection?
Definitely worth a trial to see if it has all the artists you enjoy. I really like the catalog.
Wow that's a lot of terminology on the comment section. What is the order from mp3 to the highest possible audio quality there is?
Qobuz keeps it pretty simple. In order of size:
-MP3 @ 320kbps
-CD Quality 16-bit/44.1kHZ (FLAC)
-Hi-Res 24-Bit up to 96kHz (FLAC)
-Hi-Res 24-bit up to 192kHz (FLAC)
All of these quality settings are available for the same subscription price. Qobuz starts a bit on the pricey side, but you don't have to pay more for the super-ultra-premium tier.
Not available in brazil.
Qobuz is not yet available in my area, wish it did
Hey man thanks for the video,I dont know anything about tech, I am musician and just want the best sound I Can get with my phone and LDAC bluetooth mx50bt2. Do you think paying extra with qobuz will be noticeable? Or cd quality is enough?. Anyway thanks, keep it UP!
I'm gonna stick with the Spotify. For the reason being the qobuz is not available here
No internet?
@@machtschnell7452 lmao If no internet you won't even see me commenting here.
The app is not available on playstore, I don't know if it's region locked or something.
The only thing I prefer with Spotify over Apple Music, is the cross fade out and in to the next track. The quality is much better with lossless on wired ear buds with Apple.
It's crazy that it's taken us THIS LONG to get decent support for cross fades or gapless playback.
What's your take on TH-cam Music?
No strategy I see to bump up the direct stream quality like Qobuz, but uploading your personal collection is kinda handy.
Never heard about Qobuz till earlier today when The Verge put out a article about Spotify alternatives and they were mentioned.
Qobuz is GOOD times.
Does Qobuz offer crossfade? As one song is ending the next song is already started
Yes.
would love to try them but can't get them in Canada
Does this spotify competitor have a trial? Also will I notice a different using bluetooth headphones? I am not big on wires lol
There is a trial. I can't speak to the quality of your headphones though.
Can you import your Spotify playlists and stuff?
songshift.com/
also, the music you purchase are all DRM free so that means you actually own the digital music 100%
Have you ever tried deezer?
I was happy with Amazon but their app is crap, bad UI overall...
Currently storing my music on an SD and waiting for a 1tb SD card.
I'll suffer SOME UI gremlins if price/quality is GREAT. Qobuz + my crazy collection on my NAS is confirmation there. Neither my NAS app nor the Qobuz app are "amazing" LOL.
That's funny, Spotify is horrible on my phone. Amazon is my go to. It also crashes though.
@@subugatai7377 Yeah, it also crashed sometimes, I think is due to synchronizing with the it's catalog and since they constantly add high end quality music it could create issues to even high end phones... Which is... Incredible in its own way.
My sister worked at Qobuz in Paris for 3 years 😁
Since it's such a small company, I'd really hope it was a fun gig.
Why not Apple it has Lossless and HiDef tracks for $10 per month. Qobuz library is not nearly the same size
But then I'd have to give Apple money and let them track my behavior and data to see for ads 🤮
Happy with Amazon. Gotta renew tidal...may add this into it too
I think it's worth giving it a spin for that sweet SWEET 24 bit FLAC...
Quboz over Amazon Music??
For me, yes. I think Amazon's service is solid though.
Me too, but Tidal, because more and more master quality which sounds amazing!
Totally worth a test drive on Qobuz if you like the Master quality tracks. They still have the largest collection of higher than CD quality files available to stream, and they don't charge extra to stream high quality.
@@SomeGadgetGuy Unfortunately not available as supported streaming service in HEOS for my Denon DRA-800h stereo-receiver 😕.
Leaving because of Joe Rogan is valid too. Imagine being forced to subscribe to a service you disagree with.
@@SomeGadgetGuy No, it's not, Juan. It isn't like he's forcing anyone to take or not take the vaccine or accept any of his views. Saying that he's pushing misinformation, or some dangerous rhetoric is intellectually dishonest.
Ultimately the choice is the consumers. But it's wrong to mischaracterize him because some talking head on the news tells you he's "hurting people". If anything, we should listen to more content so we can make an informed decision that best fits our needs. NOT treat one source that all say the same thing and up to now, has been WRONG, like it's some of god. And FWIW, I don't even listen to Rogan or use Spotify. Open your mind, Juan. I like your content as you are maybe one of 2 or 3 LG supporters, but you are dead wrong in this case.
Right. The choice to leave a platform is just as valid as the choice to stay. You don't get to decide what a "good" reason for someone to leave is anymore than I get to decide for you what YOU should listen to.

I'm not a big fan of censorship, either. Or antique hypocritical hippies.
It's a bigger free speech issue to support compelled speech. If a private platform doesnt want to host someone's content, they shouldn't be forced to host it. That way lies actual fascism. Freedom of speech is ALSO the right to remain silent.
@@SomeGadgetGuy We're teetering on that brink.
But then paying artist even more than tidal? cant be mad at that
You could grab yourself some LDAC hardware... Just sayin...

quboz is the best some tracks are in real hi res, 24 bits 192khz
Huge fan. I really like qobuz.
Team TH-cam Music (for convenience and price I must say, not so much an audiophile). I pay for it and TH-cam Premium in one bill.
It's DEFINITELY the convenience play. Especially being able to voice assistant play music easily.
@@SomeGadgetGuy yes! At home I use YT Music via Dex on a TV connected to a soundbar. Control it via Google Assistant from the sofa or wherever.

Sucks that qobuz isn’t available in my country. Spotify really sucks, switched to Apple Music for about a year now
Nothing wrong with that. I'm definitely not an Apple fan, but no one would argue they didn't step up their music service. The mission is ALWAYS to treat your ears.
Interesting take on why you went with Qobuz. I'm not a Spotify fan myself. In the near future, I plan on subscribing to Flex. I like that I can download my old CDs/DVDs to make my content digital and available to stream whenever I want. Kinda reminds me of the old days of RealPlayer and Rhapsody (way before the whole Rhapsody/Napster merger and being renamed "Napster").
Have you tried using Plex? Or is that what you meant? I run a plex server too. I like my NAS app better for music, but Plex is awesome for my blu-ray rip collection.
Considering my music library, it's definitely hard for me to go away from Spotify. Spotify has the biggest catalogue to date.
In total number of tracks, I think Apple is the top option. Qobuz is at almost the exact same tier of catalog as Spotify now.
I like Tidal & Apple Music
I like the idea of paying the artists more and high quality streaming but after researching I found that I couldn’t leave spotify for them. Because radio is so bad at playing a variety of artists , new or old , we need a way to discover music. Qobuz is lacking in comparison to spotify when it comes to finding new artists/songs and they are still working bugs out of their user interface.
That's why I like the Qobuz publications. They run interviews and articles like a legit old school music magazine. I'll take that over the spotify curation tools to also get higher quality audio.
@@SomeGadgetGuy I do 95% of my music listening in my car and I’ve done my own custom audio installation with sq in mind. The ability to manage my music easily on the fly is what keeps me on Spotify even though it is not the best option for sq.

I might have to check out Qobuz with them new ikko OH2s I acquired.
[Nods aggressively in your general direction...]
You’ll get slightly higher quality with Quboz but Apple music is cheaper, a lot cheaper.
Sure. It's nice to have choice. I choose to get better stream quality and to support the company that offers the best payouts to artists. Other people choose other services.
There are times when I buy a bands CD, when I see them Live. If I like them I spend my money on them. The cool part is I get them to sign the CD covers and talk to the artist. 💜🥂
That's the best. I ALWAYS try to buy direct from artist sites if I can. You get GREAT deals too. Like RTJ4 in high quality WAV files was only $9. 🤩
As usual us in India get none of these options without a vpn lol. I'll just have to not be lazy and move my library over to apple music I guess
Nothing wrong with supporting a business that can bring their service to your market. Qobuz is a TINY French company and probably can't afford to negotiate licensing in all regions the way Apple can for their catalog.
@@SomeGadgetGuy yeah I get it. If there service doesn't have the music I want to listen to its kind of a moot point lol. Maybe someday 🙂. Till then we just work with what we've got

Always something refreshing from you mate. This is pretty damn good.
I always hated spotify music quality but love the cheapness and convenience.... Its great for podcasts and okay for some songs But I could never listen to my go-to playlist because just the openning instrumentals sound muddy as heck and they sound like theyre playing through several layers of cloth... Mainly Lansdowne, Incubus, LadyGaga and High and Mighty color songs with some bruno mars and smashmouth in the shuffle mix. And I dont even have a flac file or wav or High quality mp3s of them just and MP3 converted from a downloaded hd youtube video... And it still has better clarity and quality than spotify at "extreme quality"... I can hear the difference that it pains me to use spotify for their songs which I mained on my psp in until after college, thats also why I loved LG phones because they gave better sound to the same files and better than my psp so I mained LG since then... But now I might get a new phone in the next few years but keep my V50 for playing music...
I REALLY waited to see if Spotify would add a hi-res tier. Now it just seems silly to wait any longer if you're really a music fan.

You, my friend, are a tech reviewer! Ty
They attacked Joe Rogan about his guests in podcast, they think that they are important...
QOBUZ IS KING. Spotify sounds horrible. Tidal forces garbage music and narratives on you. Amazon cheats, they say it's higher res but the songs don't necessarily download or play that way, they do "best available" then make lower res available. Just started on QOBUZ and I'm hooked.
Nice review.👍
Never heard of these guys before. I like the paying artists more element. I usually listen through Bluetooth. As a bit of a noob with hi res audio (took the npr test and got 4/6 🤷♂️) will I hear the difference through wired (apple dongle to a chifi iem or Philips shp9600)? What about via Bluetooth?
Love you opening my eyes to stuff I didn't know about. (Your audio health videos actively changed the way I listen to music for example). Qobuz may be the next thing who knows?

Quboz is good. I think it’s downside from what I remember is it’s song collection overall is lower. It’s high def song collection is great but total songs on the platform is lower hmm
Not really...
No experience with their streaming services, but I was buying high bitrate/CD quality KPOP songs from them, no issues there.
It's a nice little music store too. I wish I had found them earlier when I was replacing my old CD rip collection.
