The immediate reaction I've found on numerous comments, I was not clear in describing the scope of the problem. People seem to think I'm saying my grandmother just bought a 16GB ipad recently. I was only just looped in on this problem recently. She's been dealing with poor support since ipads had dock connectors. I made a video about this now. She's been dealing with Apple support for the better part of a decade BEFORE I was looped in.
I was gonna write some silly guff like "Grandma got scammed over by some lame gear" but I got increasingly infuriated the more I wiatched this video. The lack of actual customer service and the malicious avarice in upselling non solutions over and over.
I dont like assigning "motive", but by the end of this saga, there were several opportunities to fix an obvious problem, and no one took the initiative to do that. But your joke was HILARIOUS, and I'm sharing that on the family text thread.
Sounds like they also palmed her off with a refurb or customer-returned iPad too, given they haven't sold an iPad new with 16GB of storage since the iPad Mini 4 was discontinued in March 2019. So not only upselling an iCloud subscription but giving her a used device when she asked for a new one! 😡
@@mehdimido5270that’s why they are called genius lol Tell the customer to buy a new model with more storage and their problems are solved it’s horrible to be exact.
Not being able to clear the cache has been a pain point for years and was one of my biggest frustrations when I switched to iOS. After seven years, I’m itching to switch back to Android. Apple’s software experience is nowhere near as good as Android’s these days-it’s just fancy animations masking outdated functionality. They’re coasting on past successes. These are all cleverly designed tricks to get people to pour more money into their coffers. I can’t wait to get rid of this piece of crap iPhone.
I hate that feeling as a techie. I really DO NOT like telling consumers about the issues with various products. People spend a LOT of money on this stuff, they should enjoy it. But there's no way around criticizing the corporations that pull these kinds of BS moves.
@ I hate having to criticize products too. But honestly, Apple’s refusal to give us basic functionality like clearing cache or managing ‘Other’ storage is infuriating. I’ve wasted hours searching for solutions to deal with that ‘Other’ data clogging up my storage. It’s not just inconvenient-it feels like a deliberate move to frustrate users and push them into upgrading. And don’t get me started on how they handle AirPods firmware updates. It’s supposedly “effortless,” but if I’m paying 200 odd quid for a headset, I want control over when-and if-it updates. Maybe I don’t want the update at all. They keep chasing this magical, seamless experience, but in reality, it’s just become a big pain in the behind.
I have to believe (not unique to Apple) that the largest players are in a holding pattern now to see how much they can slow down improvements, and keep people re-buying similar tech. If an update wrecks performance, or a cache can't be cleared, well... Just dont be broke I suppose...
Yes when my mom's wondering what images aren't coming through on my text messages. Or why she can't just switch to a different less expensive carrier but also keep her number but wait we have to unlock our phone but she can't find her pin... Oh but we're at the store but we can't get a new pin until we call AT&t and you can't do it at the store and...wtf!!??
Apple doesn't train their "tech support" to be tech support. A while back when I was still a technician, we had Apple staff come to our store to get their tickets repaired by us when they couldn't figure it out and their clients were getting upset
It's a topic I feel needs more attention. There's a LOT of marketing about "support", but I don't feel Apple is really living up to the standard they advertise.
The whole iCloud stuff is the reason why I buy flagship phones/tablets with microSD card slot, particularly LG and Sony. I can easily get a SanDisk Extreme Pro 1TB microSD card for about $200 knowing that I have HUGE secondary storage ready on my hands without worrying about transferring all the files to a PC or an USB OTG stick.
Man, Juan, You'll never get that elusive invite to an Apple event now with these sort of truths haha. Anyway, a little bit of context, I'm part of an international company and based in Malaysia and I had one issue where the user's macbook , just won't reinstall macOS and we ultimately decided to go with Apple to do the macOS reset somehow. The problem was, that Apple (at that point), didn't have an official store here and they lead us to to this merry-go-round of which official 3rd party vendor to go to. Eventually, we settled on a shop but they wanted to charge us as much as they could despite having a bloody Apple warranty that was still valid. We called Apple and they finally "decided"" to not charge us after an almost long rant. They finally open their bloody store here and ensured that the mall only allowed their Apple devices to be sold there and no other competition like Samsung, Xiaomi, etc are allowed to open shop there. Fine, that's a good deal for Apple with the mall and it's in the heart of KL btw. Samsung paid for the train station that is connected to it to the samsung galaxy station which was funny. Reason i bring this up is that there is still no Apple Business portal for Malaysia, but Singapore, no problem. Apple has about 32% of the market share here. the second now is Samsung at, 13%, then it trickles down to the rest like Xiaomi, Oppo, Vivo, etc. We also have a lot of Apple fanboys here that see Apple is some luxurious brand item and a status symbol of your wealth, which to me, is ridiculous since it's not exclusive, and it's not limited in stock and their marketing is basically bending truths to sell (although, Jaguar's latest ad, that really was nothing) ..very frustrated at Apple in general. I thought dealing with Acer was annoying -- Apple wins in this case, in regards to business side of things.
@@SomeGadgetGuy i've always wondered how Apple can escape with so much murder. Their fanboys would quote that they have their 2012 macbook still working and such (yeah, when it was modular, you can change your hw -- try that now with soldered parts fools) or when they have really shoddy anti-consumer practices, they'll justify it. Yet, on windows, Samsung, LG, etc, they'll get what they deserve from public backlash (usually). Like windows recall, stupid as hell of a feature. macOS still has CSAM inside their activity monitor - -can't remember the name of it now . I think Apple fanboys is the only ones i found to be that level of delusion , almost like what a stereotype yee haw person would act like. I'm not talking about apple users, like myself who don't care for brand loyalty - just use what works for you. question them all, get an answer
Yes, An event that a more than trillion dollar company records instead of doing it in person??? Apple isn't the company it once was. When my relative had an issue, there was a solution from someone in the Apple Store....... purchase a newer one. My mother in law didn't come to me, she bought a new one. Well, it was returned the next day and I fixed her computer. Their tech support/geniuses don't know anything. Ive been in tech since 1998 and saw Apple shift the way they handle things. Its crummy .
Apple in-store support has seemingly become nothing more than reps that run automated diagnostic tests, swap out devices to those that have AppleCare, and sell devices to those that do not. My personal experience ranges from outright refusing to let me pay money for a battery replacement for 2020 iPad Pro to them telling me that the only "repair" option for AirPods Max headphones that weren't connecting was to trade them in and buy refurbished ones for $300.
They literally just hire the biggest scammers off the street who are able to scam and sell worthless apple products. Barely anybody in their ironically named “genius” bar has any technical knowledge on anything other than selling people things they don’t want or need.
Yeah, just check out where their contracted out call centers are 🤦♂️. If you then find out how much they're paid your blood might boil at the sight of the modern slave labour that's occuring 😢
I'm sure Apple, and other big tech companies make obscene amounts of money each year off consumers who don't understand their issues and assume they need to spend more money on either new hardware or as in this case more cloud storage. But also there's no sort of penalties for these companies for taking advantage of people, so I'm sure they'll keep doing it because it's profitable. I'd honestly be in favour of stronger regulation, if I had any faith governments and regulators would keep themselves informed and up to date with to regulate effectively.
Yes postpaid carriers and cable companies do this too it's like they just make things so complicated that people just buy whatever. Like whatever the person at the desk is recommending as if they have their best interest in mind. I couldn't believe how useless AT&t was when I was trying to fix some of my mom's issues which were completely their fault. And completely impossible to fix at the store because they intentionally make it that way. Xfinity 2 like you can't even just delete channel off your plan no more you have to send a text to the assistant wait for them to reply to your text... Like a completely needless obstacle. Which is frustrating if you're a lucid tech nerd and maybe an insurmountable obstacle if you are 85 years old.
I had to resolve this same issue for my Grandma about a year ago. All she ever did on it was check the weather, read recipes and send Facebook messages. The device had stopped updating because the cache had filled the entire storage and it couldn't download anything. It reeks of the same strategy that Apple is supposed to be banned from - intentionally degrading old devices by pushing updates that killed performance on last gen's hardware.
This is how I feel about AT&t and my mom. I mean I don't know if by the litter of the law they've scammed her but they have misled her at every turn and made it impossible for a senior citizen to functionally understand what's going on with their policies. Xfinity is just as bad. Thankfully she's not an Apple user. The idea of spending that much on hardware would shock her to the core
*Standing Ovation* Here is the thing. The folks working at those bars are forced to get numbers. That's all they are not allowed to do what you are able to do. I see it every weekend in best buy as a Third Party Rep. Also folks don't want to feel stupid for not understanding their tech.
Oh for sure. People get REALLY defensive just chatting out the basics. We've sold people on this idea that gadgets are "SO SIMPLE even BABIES can use them", so they get ratcheted bad when they dont understand the fix to a problem.
I don’t think it’s fair to judge a company based on its customer service 7 years ago, they have since upgraded base storage to 64gb and even provide classes for elders
Thanks for this Juan. Your frustration is justified. As a millennial im similarly incensed when my juniors don't/won't torrent because "streaming is so reliable"
So. I'm old school hollywood, and I kinda get the idea of "paying for content", but these days, I've been showing all my younger cousins how to do things like set up their own media servers. OF COURSE I AM the nerd who likes having a library of shiny plastic discs, but who am I to judge how my relatives source their own content right? Also I dont have a VPN sponsor... But I have thoughts on VPNs... Completely unrelated... Just thought I'd mention it...
Millenials are the most tech savvy generation, we grew up having to learn quickly evolving interfaces over and over again. There are now adults who have used an iphone as their primary computer their entire adult lives.
@@SomeGadgetGuy I remember being a kid and getting an error saying that a program completed an illegal operation and had to be shut down, I was like 7 and thought it was ridiculous that the government wouldn't let my programs run
@@RobertKirkpatrick84 Confused me good as a wee lad. When my N64 screeched at me in the middle of the night while showing "illegal opcode" I damn near shat myself.
People say all sorts of stuff about why they don't switch completely to an iPad even though it might be more powerful than their existing system but the most logical reason is the illogically pathetic absence of a real file management system in iPhones, iPads and iPods. Working with Apple devices makes professional repairmen pull their hair out, let alone your average non-enthusiast consumer. And a trusting old lady who will take your word at face value. EU is suing and forcing Apple to do stuff left and right but the glaring issue of a non-existent file management system is just pure criminal. I am almost proud that I've never owned anything made by Apple ever, I hope a strong contender for Mac Mini M4 Pro comes out soon, so that I may never have to either.
As some one who works for the Support Call Center for said Fruit company. Store employees are told to tell u to call the support line . I tell customers that the store is for repairs and sales, and thats about it. I hate when ppl waste their time because they think going to the store is the best option I try my best to educate as many customers as possible cause i know its rare you get a knowledgable agent when calling the support line
This actually brings me to my hardware aggravation with Apple. In particular, RAM. They purposely put just enough RAM in their popular mobile devices, namely iPhones and iPads, for them to work for a couple years before you need to upgrade. The software starts to lag and crash, forcing you to continuously restart the device. And with know logical way to clear cache on these devices, non tech savvy people start to think there’s a major issue. Then before you know it, you’re back buyin a new iPhone or iPad after only a few years. It’s criminal if you ask me.
Man, I can relate. I also have a Grandma that has updated her ipad 3 times already unnecessarily, and constantly complains that her iphone is losing internet connection. Some of it is them not knowing to avoid memory hogging software and things they mistakenly click on. It also takes patience and repetition to try to keep them informed. It's good to get these thoughts out man, other people are in the same boat very often!
Yeah it's bad enough I keep having to like tell my mom not to answer Shady phone calls from people claiming to be Amazon or Microsoft or something. But now you can't even trust him with the geniuses
My 85 yr old father in laws Mac died and my husband convinced his dad to get an expensive windows laptop. I told my husband he should have recommended iPad because my father inlaw is familiar with iOS and he only uses it for email, Facebook and checking his stock. After teaching my father Gmail he still doesn’t understand it and his laptop sits collecting dust.🙄
We're in the same boat Juan. We're fixers. We like helping people, and the most direct route is how people like us like to tackle problems. Especially with busy schedules. I too can come off a little aggressive when trying to help, not because I'm being mean, but because I want to teach my loved ones what the problem is, and how to avoid it. Because I refuse to accept my 88 year old grandmother is "holding the phone wrong".
I seen this problem with friends where their cloud storage has maxed out and they are getting messages to buy more capacity or lose anything stored! IPhones and ipads are easy to use, so the user does not need worry about the technical things!
Im one of the very few people that has never owned an Apple product. But to be fair, when heavy users are initially purchasing a device for heavy use it should be blatantly obvious that a much higher storage configuration would be needed for such use. Apple have always had poor customer service. Thats very well known. But I just think that she was unaware of facts of such devices. I have seen younger tech users make the same mistakes. Apples sales reps are just following standard protocols. It does not make it right though. Sorry she had to go through this.
Brother I totally understand your frustration with this and I love how you found the problem. Could you do a follow up video for us geeks that want to learn how to dig into those files and delete that crap. You sent me on a rabbit hole and I have just spent the last hour cleaning my MACBOOK of system data. It had files from old programs that have been deleted for four years.
It makes me so angry, because they basically manipulate unknowledgeable people into blowing all their money on products and services they don't need. When I bought my s24 ultra the other day, the employee tried to sell me a 2 year phone contract along with it to get a 50 buck discount on the phone. I told him "Eh, I'll just pay the extra 50. I'd be able to get a 2 year contract at any time anyway and he looked visibly annoyed lol.
It's rough out there. People really do just listen to the sales reps at stores. Less than a month before the Pixel 9 dropped, friends of ours got three new phones for their family. BRAND NEW Pixel 8 Pros! FULL MSRP! THREE YEAR CONTRACT! Verizon scammed them hard.
I agree Juan, it's the same in London. It's pointless going to a network store for assistance, they haven't a clue. If you can't solve it yourself by digging deeper, you have to find a local tech nerd.
Oh my God I've came to this realization a couple years ago. We think we're doing the right thing getting our young ones and elderly family members the cheaper phone or cheaper device thinking they don't do much, so they won't need a better performing device. And then it lags it stutters it is so slow it actually is harder for them to use daily, and they end up just giving up thinking they're doing something wrong. Especially the delay from clicking or tapping the screen to when the device actually launches the program.
Exactly that! Sure, it's cheap, the user doesn't NEED a lot of power, but also the elderly aren't going to understand lag. It sucks because of how we buy phones at carriers in the USA, the market for midrange has kind of been decimated.
Really interesting video. Saw another video of a guy with an Intel iMac which became SUPER SLOW with the latest updates. It's a well known issue but no one from Apple helped him with it, and there isn't a way to downgrade without losing all of his settings and apps and plug-ins and having to reinstall everything. "it just works!" 😂
Wow instead of fixing the problem they just piled more problems on top it. That really sucks. As a Tech reviewer myself we need to further educate the masses to those who don't know. I'm sorry that this happened SGG!
Thanks for sharing! My mom has always had a relationship to tech, similar to your grandma, and knows her way around tech comparatively to those around her... and yet I've had to reorganize the way I communicate with her in regards to tech. I've had to backdate comparative ideas and functions for her to understand what I was talking about. Even though I don't really get frustrated doing so, it's taught me to meet folks where they're at, to be able to educate them and support their needs. Thanks again for your quality uploads! 😃😃😃
As a teen who is well into tech, my dad too did the same thing and bought a 16gb ipad which has no space left for the low low price of 350$ without asking me. i cant say anything to him but after his "scammed experience" thanks to the internet and apple, now he doesnt buy anything tech without consulting me. it really is such a shame that companies like this take advantage of the situation and leave us geeks to clean their problems after its too late (apple being the worst). ppl really need to stop spreading information like "if you want a tablet, iPad any iPad. android sucks" when companies like samsung oneplus and xoami are selling insane tablets with a hell lot of features for the same/lower price than the base iPad.
Glad he saw the light, and keep up with him. I can't tell you how rewarding it is to have those experiences with a dad. My dad taught me how to do the brakes on my old camry, I can help him out with phones now.
I can relate so much to this video, especially with being a bit too blunt when helping my parents with their tech problems. I saw a quote the other day that said the boomers/millennials (on the older side) didn't get that exposed to technology, and gen alpha are just consumers of technology. That gen z (or younger millennials) are largely the only true technicians of technology (there's a better word for it, but I can't remember). The main takeaway being that like you said, for the youngest generations tech has become made so easily accessible that for 99% of things they require no understanding of how computers actually work. I feel like a lot of people's tech literacy has to do with whether someone is confident or not. The older folks who were scared of technology going wrong and don't try things themselves quickly fall behind compared to ones that had the same aptitude but didn't feel scared and tried to figure things out instead of relying on others.
That's it EXACTLY. I'm right on the border between X and Millenial, and I feel I'm gonna spend my whole life as a tech "interpreter" to both older and younger folks.
When you kept talking about grandma taking a lot of photos and using 16GB iPads, I was screaming internally "Just connect the iPad to a Mac and transfer all the photos using Image Capture!" - Then you showed the amount of space taken up by System and Other and a thick fog of silence fell over me. Now I better understand your anger. Cheers! //Rick
@@SomeGadgetGuy I am having these same issue with my 2020 MBA base model. I only use it for DJing only and I keep all my songs on an external HD. But even so, I don't have enough space to perform an OS upgrade. So frustrating.
iOS have a lot of weird glitches once storage is full. My sis’ 13 Pro Max 1 TB is almost always full because she’s too busy to unload the photos to external SSD and she and I (checking her iPhone) have encountered a lot of weird UI and usability bugs. Stuff like random restarts, photos showing in wrong orientation in library, Wi-Fi stops working for hours at times, apps cannot update even with ~20 GB storage freed Personal experience is Apple geniuses work harder in East Asia, and Thailand and Singapore. In the US they provide less and less support probably to cut cost
I have the opposite problem, my family always comes to me with their tech issues and for recommendations. The problem here is they always do the opposite of what I advise and it ends up causing more issues or more money. It just got to the point where I don’t offer to help anymore.
I feel your oain. The curse of the 16gb apple devices. I'm glad that I helped steer my mother-in-law to larger storage on her phone and tablet. I, too am the non apple user in the family and none of the others who DO use apple understand any of this. And doing it in a second language doesn't help either! I've been lucky so far.
I used to own an iphone 12, some lint got stuck in the lightning port and it was causing issues. Didnt have compressed air on hand, and i was out anyway so i took it into the apple store. Instead of inspecting the lightning port, i was told that they dont repair charging ports (one of the most common things to break on a phone) so they would have to replace all the internals, and that the cost was so high I may as well buy a new phone.. kindly declined that and took it to the EE store down the road (EE is a large UK carrier). They blasted my lightning port with compressed air free of charge, and low and behold it fixed the problem. This plus a similar incident with a samsung z flip 3 screen protector are the reasons why I now rock a google pixel. Both apple and samsung just needlessly scam you when it comes to repair/after sales support.
To get the list of apple official support shops you can physically visit, they require that you login, that require a working phone, because of the login token it sends to the phone. So what does people with a broken phone do?
As a geek and someone who operates mostly solo I can often avoid the "icky" side of tech. In general non tech people are taken advantage of at the phone store, the big box store, or the Apple store. Tech products are currently amazing but there is a breakdown when it comes to matching the consumer to what they need.
It's rough right? My family pointed her towards apple back in the day so she could get help at apple stores, but that's apparently never really helped her sort out any of these issues...
Oh my God. The stupid Cloud stuff on iOS is 10 times worse than it is on Android. It is super insidious how they use dark patterns to direct you there.
Base model storage is the WORST option for people not fully connected to internet and tech savvy at same time. Abuela never needed 2tb plan. But kicking her down to free tier before sorting her iCloud likely made problems worse too. Apple didn’t help this situation at all but learning her in base models territory only compounded everything. It’s a pain & should not be need but maybe a Sandisk istick type thing could help her work flow once stable ?
Apple is evil and Tim Cook is inept. A lot of us get that by now. But hey, it’s Christmas. Head on over to Costco and get grandma a 256 gig new iPhone since her phone is conking out as well. Let her start taking all the pictures she wants again. It will feel icky to do it, but sometimes you just gotta wrap it up and give it.
It appears they also sold her an iPad 2 (2011-2014) as "new". Must've been a customer-return they'd been looking to offload for ages they had out-back. That's appalling! 😡
Have you considering getting all of her photos off the ipad/icloud and into Google photos or another service? That should in theory clear up the local storage being used. I worked for Apple 10 years ago doing Applecare phone support. The way Icloud stores photos is anything but user friendly. "Icloud photo library, Photo Stream" etc. I'd hope its better a decade later since I've actively used their products.
Oh we will, and for new photos, that's how she uses her chromebook, but we're in a holding pattern on her iCloud until we can sort out logins and apple credentials. We'll get there 👍
Commenting for commenting sake. But also, yeah, I have a weekly slot in my calendar for my mom's tech-related issues. It's a chore, but it keeps her away from such "solutions". What I find really frustrating that this whole situation is just another example of enshitification: Apple sets up a "genius bar" - the ultimate way to service your apple device. Turns it into a household phrase. Fights anyone else who would want to service your apple device. Turns the Genius Bar into a monopoly, basically. And then turns the genius bar into shit, a bunch of people who, instead of dealing with an issue, just exist to sell you more unnecessary stuff. It is predatory, it is cringe and it is sadly the norm today. And other techies speed by these predatory practices (some at 90mph in school zones) in a rush to be another arm of the corporation's marketing machine.
Just curious but which currently sold iPad has 16GB storage? Most of the current ones start at 128 GB, except the 10th-gen iPad with 64GB. I had to go back to the iPad Air 2 (2017) or iPad Mini 4 (2019) to still find 16GB storage as an option...
@@sovak75 It seems it was quite a while back... he shows the back of an iPad near the end of the video, and assuming that is the second one, the model number comes back as an iPad 2, sold between 2011-2014. I thought from the video he was saying she'd had a new one recently, but no. Was a while back and her issues have been going on for over a decade. The timeline from the video was really unclear
I have had this issue before where backups fail, but iOS keeps the damn backup files copied in "Other" and won't give the damn storage back for ages. It is infuriating. I love having better access to the file system on Android. And the annoying suggestions to buy more iCloud THAT DOESN'T FIX THE PROBLEM.... so Apple 🙄
@SomeGadgetGuy It has been a LONG time since the Genius Bar had people with a large depth of knowledge. Now the usual advice is informing you that your product is no longer supported or the repair parts are almost as much as buying a new product. They have turned it into the service center at a new car dealer. "well you can pay $5,000 on this repair, but we recommend putting that toward one of the new models on the lot instead"... I wouldn't hate on them for it except their long fight against right to repair.
You might want to consider selling both iPads, either through a platform like Swap or eBay, to get some credit toward a newer model. A potential upgrade could be an iPad 10, or one of the newer iPad Air models, like the iPad Air 4. It doesn’t necessarily need to be the latest model, but I believe there is still value in both of those iPads that could help offset the cost of a newer version. For example, an iPad 9 could be a good option-it’s affordable and should serve your grandmother's needs well without requiring Apple’s latest features, which may not be necessary for her usage. I suggest this because I have a family member who still uses a first-generation 12.9-inch iPad Pro without significant issues, even though it's several years old. While it’s true that older iPads can continue functioning for a while, there comes a point where upgrading is inevitable. I’m curious about the specific models of the iPads your grandmother is using and how long she’s had them. From my perspective, it seems the devices may be outdated, and I’m not trying to push the idea of upgrading just for the sake of it-I just don’t fully understand why Apple would have recommended such old models in the first place. If I were in your shoes, I would have likely suggested the iPad 9, which is under $200 and could easily last another four or five years. And now saying this, I'm hoping Apple Intelligence doesn't cause a Norris amount of devices to be obsolete to the point of not being able to use them at all. Love your video man, and hopefully my rant gives value to your discussion thanks again.
You're not wrong. These are old enough I dont think we could get much for them. I'm honestly curious if she'll want to stick with tablets, or just keep using her chromebook.
@@SomeGadgetGuy when she does make a decision, keep us updated. I'd love to know cause Chromebook do also offer value. I guess it's really more about her preference than ours.😀
They still sell 16GB iPads?? I thought 64GB was the base. I'm no Apple fanboy, but the new M4 Mini is winning me over. Now if the post office hadn't gone on strike the night before my SSD for it was to be delivered ... leaving $200 sitting out there in limbo ... *sigh* You're bang on about youth and tech literacy. Being able to turn something on and press an app icon is NOT being tech savvy. So many kids today (let alone adults) have absolutely no idea how phones/tablets/computers actually work that it's frightening. Trouble is, it's pretty tough to make that curriculum in schools when the teachers don't know and understand it themselves a lot of the time. That's why nerds will forever rule the earth ... quietly, in the background. :P
Apple has been giving her crummy support since ipads had dock connectors. I just got looped into how bad it's been. I'm making a video about it today. She's been dealing with it for the better part of a decade.
I run into the issue of my grandpa not wanting to pay extra for a much better experience. I begged him to spend a few hundred dollars to get a GOOD tablet when he was looking but instead he got some $79 slow piece of trash and was incredibly frustrated with how awful it was (and money isn't an issue for him btw). Is that something you see with your grandma at all?
Thankfully she usually doesnt just buy her own gear without talking to family members first. So she's never been saddled with a DISPOSABLE tablet or PC like that. But because her needs aren't "that high level", she keeps getting the base model of whatever the nicest option is. She doesn't need the fastest machine, she needs a lot more storage though.
believe me it is a lost case . i tried very hard to make my sister buy s10 with 128 GB over iphone 11 with 64 GB years ago because i knew how she uses her phone . s10 with micro SD and 128 GB and a file manger and copy paste photos over usb c . now she has a full storage warning every day and a icloud subscription and could not download new app or game unless she delete another app or game .
Stay on her. Be patient. Listen more than talk. You can get her back. I find people are more repsonsive when we REALLY work hard to frame this as "this is NOT your fault. This is how youre are getting taken advantage of. We CAN make this better and get you a better fit for your needs." Then completely leave it alone. Dont push it anymore than that. People today dont have much empathy, but they are REALLY responsive to sympathy for their issues.
Urgh.... The way these companies intentionally make it difficult to get off the cloud so to speak is also I think quite insidious. Honestly Google drive and OneDrive have similar issues where people think of it as a backup but they think of it as more of a synchronization when it's on your device. So they don't let you just delete it from your at your cloud without also deleting it from the device. At least not without crazy annoying workarounds And Google takeout? A complete disaster. You need expensive third party software just to handle the metadata because it's not included. My Lord I can't tell you how frustrating that experience was when I was trying to reduce my Google cloud storage. Eventually I just started triaging photos I didn't want to keep anymore. The one saving grace I had was that I was able to retroactively apply storage saver to some Pixel 4a photos that I didn't initially have in that setting. And that cut me down a huge amount. But that's only going to work if you happen to have a pixel device and happen to have accidentally not used towards saver for the first year you were using the device
Oh for sure! The icloud side is absolutely not unique to apple, and for cloud services, we could EASILY swap in google and MS for the same complaints. The hardware though, that one is on Apple and their brick and mortar reps.
Im dealing with currently paying for my sons iPad 9th gen to be fixed due to working perfectly. But if they can't fit it, getting him a new 9th get and upgrading the storage while adding applcare so it lasts longer.
"other" ... 😡. My surface pro, which is infinitely more flexible than this iPad obviously, had not on similar issues. It has 128 GB storage but I swear I might be using 40 gigs of it or something for usable apps and such and the rest is system or nonsense. I rely almost entirely on a 200 GB SD card I've been using but that had some kind of bug or 90% of its storage was filled up with some weird duplicating nonsense that was impossible to fix if you didn't have a PhD in computer science. I am a big nerd and I just gave up and reformatted my SD card. These companies need to stop selling devices where the storage is barely more than the system storage. Should be some kind of law about this. It's basically like a machine designed to frustrate you to buy cloud storage
Oh man, your lips to god's ears. We've been through this "minimum spec" BS over and over and over again. But we do NOT educate consumers on what these specs mean. Of course people will keep getting fleeced.
The situation may vary depending on the Apple employee assisting you. In many industries, the focus is on sales and upselling. During my time in services, I was not concerned with constant upselling. It's uncertain if there's significant pressure to sell at Apple currently. It appears that under Tim Cook's leadership, maximizing profits has become a higher priority. Generally, it's challenging to trust that salespeople will prioritize your best interest. The era of the helpful hardware clerk dedicated solely to serving the customer's best interest seems to have passed.
Just watched again and it deserves another comment just for the sake of commenting. This was really wrong in so many levels and it can really be considered a scam. Horrible and sad.
I hate hope Apple forces me to buy new devices and even hard reset to fix other storage bug I've been facing for decades. I prefer Chromebook or surface clone or ThinkPad which lasts long. It's pathetic that we can no longer easily troubleshoot things remotely natively and we need to use third party apps. Apple has lost its way. Google photos will be the best alternative for photo backup instead of icloud and onedrive (30 GB just because of being a former Lumia user.) iCloud has a pathetic user interface and buggy when VPN is connected
Which iPad was she recommended that only has 16GB storage? When I look on Apple's site, the lowest I can find (of the models they currently sell new) is 64GB on the iPad (10th Gen). Was she given a refurb or something? 🤔
@SomeGadgetGuy Yes, I appreciate that part of the video, and not understanding how some photos get moved into the cloud, hence the blurry previews. But you said she was recommended a new iPad, either by a Genius or other family-member, and that also came with 16GB of storage. But Apple haven't shipped an iPad since 2019 with that amount, so... I'm just curious if she got a refurb or maybe in the country you're in they still sell new ones with 16GB base? 🤔
I'm not sure what else you need there. It's a lightning connector ipad with 16GB, and she's been having problems with it for years now. You know people try to use these things longer than the year they came out right?
@@SomeGadgetGuy Of course, it's good to keep using older devices where possible, no issue with that. What I'm asking is: your grandma had an iPad with 16GB of storage, and was out of storage. She then went to a Apple Store and was given a new iPad which also had... 16GB. What I'm asking is around the _new_ iPad, not the old one: what model was she sold? None of the current ones I can see Apple sell now have 16GB of storage.
Have to love someone on Reddit claiming I'm being a shill for Apple here and "Juan shows the iPad model near the end of the video, he literally shows the back of it" You mean at around 13:05 where he doesn't show the area where the model would be and cuts the zoom-out off before it? 🧐 Like no-one is defending Apple here guys. I'm just genuinely curious which current model they sell now has 16GB. That's all. 🤷🏻♂️
Hey thanks for sharing the story and yeah just just as you started explaining it I kept thinking well did anybody check and see where the storage was going and of course you can checked that anyway that's a bummer somebody at the Apple store should have been smart enough to figure that one out.
I left Apple a long time ago because of the restrictive ecosystem, there are gadgets she can plug into those iPads but she still needs to download a app to use those gadgets in some cases in order to pull her pictures out but sometimes Apple doesn't like to transfer the images so you think you're getting all of them and it missed some unless it's Apple software on a PC or something else pulling it off it's a lot of issues that can happen and he should have sold her an iPad with a larger hard drive that's where he scammed her selling her a new one with the same size drive and when it comes to the iCloud they should have solder one that was a little bigger then let her know she can always upgrade the size online storage I mean I have to admit apples devices work really nicely for what they are but to extract your photos or stuff out of it is a pain in the chip especially when you're just trying to get it to your Chromebook for example or to your PC apple is just beyond restrictive and there are workarounds but they don't always work well I would tell your grandma if she loves the iPad she's going to need one with a bigger storage on it she will need a cloud of some sort but I would suggest getting a good camera and some other deal but even then cameras are crap if you get a camera it sounds like it's got good things you still need to buy a memory card but then you run into what is the megapixel on the camera what is it really do with the image like I love the pixel phones but I hate that I can have this megapixel sensor and yet it's still reduces the quality of the image to like a certain standard size that Google wants to do like my pixel 4 XL died so I don't have the money to get a newer pixel so I got a cheap Motorola that was a 2024 model no bells and whistles added to this one that's like probably the lowest level cuz it only cost me like 60 bucks for the phone it's a smartphone a lot of the basic stuff that can do just fine but it does have a sluggish issue then there is no optical zoom on this thing I didn't know that till afterwards but I'm going to live with it because it's all I can afford at the moment but almost none of the software on here is stock it is Motorola ised and this phone is supposed to have this big megapixel sensor I thought okay that might compensate for the no optical zoom figuring I might be taking a picture at maximum resolution no pictures come out like junk they're just junk photos and don't even think of something because you're going to be thinking you're doing impressionistic artwork instead it meshis and bleeds together and you would think 4 gigs of RAM would be good for the speed but not in a modern phone it's not it's like going back to buying PCS again to where you have to look at all the parts in the phone or the tablet especially the camera and hopefully somewhere you can try it first then make your best informed decision
Juan, it's a time or money issue. I'm more on the 'grandma' side of this, meaning im not really sure how to manage space on devices, but I'm also tech curious enough to watch yt videos like yours to either dig the hole deeper or get more aggravated. I do the same with maintaining a 17 year old car, but for some reason, car repair videos are much more clear, instructive and accurate vs tech mgmt videos. Maybe it's just me.... Or maybe there's less noise in the car repair yt world.
Oh you're SPOT on there. When it comes to mobile, we just shrug it off and treat phones and tablets like disposable kit. The same DOES NOT FLY for PC building and gaming channels. You get some real "nuts and bolts" videos there. I try to bring a little of that to phone videos, and TECHIES shrug it off like none of that matters. I came up rebuilding engines, doing brake jobs, and bolting turbos on little honda civics. I wish more mobile tech was handled the same way.
I wish more folks understood how files were saved. I'm working with my daughter a LOT to explain how this stuff is organized. Kids have NO concept of what's happening behind the scenes.
I don't understand how people think you are being overtly critical of apple. In fact I think you're far too polite to them. A Louis Rossmann level of hatred for Apple's bullshit should honestly be the baseline in the press. I own 2 macbooks for work and a few ipads around the house, which is my credentials to say FUCK APPLE. Fuck every single piece of bullshit anti-customer decision they make. I hate them so much. 2 examples I hate: the 14 and 16 inch Macbook Pros should start out at 36GB of RAM. They charge so much for those things and they only stopped selling them with a scammy 8GB RAM base model *this year*! That and the Apple Pencil shenanigans... My sister used her 7th gen iPad for art and she can't use the 1st gen apple pencil with anything above the base model ipad, but if we wanted to get her the M1 iPad air for a better experience in Procreate, that's not possible without also shelling out for a new 2nd gen apple pencil... Just make shit compatible with each other. Honestly my hatred for Apple is only eclipsed by my hatred for Microsoft. If In any what In wish would happen to Microsoft In would get instantly banned.
Was there actually any way to fix the iPad? You said storage was full but couldn't clear "Other" space. Photos were offloaded, so maybe an app was the issue? I'm curious Also, just to play devils advocate, you don't know what your grandma said to the "genius". I could have been "it's running slow and I don't have room for any more photos". "Don't have room? put it on the cloud?" "Slow? well, it's ancient, buy a new one, here's a similar one". That doesn't sound like a scam to me. I'm sure the genius's are train to think of the simplest solution and not go digging for answers. That's customer service in general. If someone isn't too tech savy, it's hard to argue with that and say "well, my photos aren't actually taking up that much space, "other" is". Maybe apple's support isn't that great, but I don't know if I'd say that they maliciously took advantage of her. Ofcourse this is the same company that had the response "buy your mom and iphone [if she can't receive your videos from an android]" As for Apple, how does your grandmother share photos? Some friends can't send me full-resolution photos/videos consistently. They've tried email, Google Photos, WhatsApp, and iCloud, heic instead of jpeg with mixed results. Some will be full resolution and some will be 1MP. Then they'll complain "it would be so much easier if you just bought an iphone" or "why do you need full res, you're not making posters out of the photos". The only somewhat reliable method seems to be emailing with "full/original" resolution option, but it's tedious. But Some friends just send a zip file with full resolution but without EXIF data. It's hard to know whats going on when its so inconsistent. I asked a "genius" once and he didnt know. Any surefire solutions?
I abbreviated a lot of the conversations, but this wasn't one isolated issue and ONE visit to a genius bar. She's been dealing with poor performance since ipads had dock connectors, and she's had MULTIPLE interactions with geniuses over roughly ten years. They've "taken it to the back" and "run scans" multiple times on both ipads.
@@SomeGadgetGuy So did you actually find a way to fix the ipad without replacing it? And I'm still curious how your grandma shares photos with you. I still havent figured out a foolproof way.
U are right I have seen that with my coworker just like how they scammed your grandmother and the problem is always the apple users sometimes Samsung but always apple
Perhaps a Pixel 4 xl will work well for her as the cameras still work well but no software updates.. I suggest it because I use my pixel 4xl still for free unlimited cloud at lower HD plus res. I have tons of gigs. From couple of pixels. However only play system updates. Thats still OK. Good camera too. I guess she likes the ease of use on iPad. I get the idea of this video. I get it indeed.
"buy your grandma a "new" iPad" 😂 In the process of shifting off numerous MacBook Pros/Airs etc at work to restore productivity and user sanity. It'll be the last time in my life I tech assist with Apple involved. The "just works" is probably the biggest lie in history. "Just works.....at removing ones sanity and draining ones wallet $😂
This "Genius" could have sold her a faster ipad with more storage and it won't be more malicious than the most expansive icloud subscription.
sounds like apple to me
@@mehdimido5270that’s why they are called genius lol
Tell the customer to buy a new model with more storage and their problems are solved it’s horrible to be exact.
@@SomeGadgetGuy yeah. I’m done taking this disrespect. Gonna get an android phone next year and be done with it.
Never a truer words spoken @Akioppa1
LOL.
I've been off the Apple invite list for basically... My whole career...
Apples support is designed to filter issues to the actual engineers (who are only contactable via messaging) not to actually support
Also, haha jaGuar 🤣😂😆😀🙂😕🙁😢
Apple in-store support has seemingly become nothing more than reps that run automated diagnostic tests, swap out devices to those that have AppleCare, and sell devices to those that do not. My personal experience ranges from outright refusing to let me pay money for a battery replacement for 2020 iPad Pro to them telling me that the only "repair" option for AirPods Max headphones that weren't connecting was to trade them in and buy refurbished ones for $300.
THAT'S INFURIATING. I had a run in on the iPhone 8 while at pocketnow, and even back then, this wasn't "support" as much as it was just more sales...
My confidence in Apple support can only sunk to the deeper regions of the sea.
They didn't even upsell her properly, she needs more storage to be able to cope with modern OS, 16GB will not cut it.
They literally just hire the biggest scammers off the street who are able to scam and sell worthless apple products. Barely anybody in their ironically named “genius” bar has any technical knowledge on anything other than selling people things they don’t want or need.
We ride for Abuelita Juan at dawn
VÁMONOS!
Orale!
"There are these apple stores where she could go to get some help" is an ominous title of a horror book 😅
😅
I saw hundreds of people a week that "just came from the Apple store" because they couldn't do anything.
Even basic stuff, like getting email working.
There was a time where the apple stores were first class options for education. I dont think that's been true for a while...
They're still ok for education but for a solution or resolution, it's a dead end
Calling out Apple will never get old 👍🏿🤝🏿. Poor business practices must be addressed.
They're LONG overdue more regulator scrutiny.
@@SomeGadgetGuy Long long overdue indeed. I've been banging this drum for a while now as well.
Glimmers of hope in the EU. I dont have any hope for the USA over the next 4 years.
All these companies are selling a lot of water vapor ware!
Also, you have to upgrade to a newer device just to get a file manager..
Apple file management is awful.
It's such a consistent issue, and there's NO regulatory scrutiny on it.
My folks had a run in with AT&T and they FINALLY listened to me and switched to Fi. It was rough, but stay with her. Helping her out is appreciated.
Pinned comment.
Please get a 1-2tb ipad to your grandma, that should last her a lifetime.. in sure audience are happy to crowd fund it too..
Millenials are the most tech savvy generation, we grew up having to learn quickly evolving interfaces over and over again. There are now adults who have used an iphone as their primary computer their entire adult lives.

16G to 16G... wow. what an upgrade! 😛
As some one who works for the Support Call Center for said Fruit company. Store employees are told to tell u to call the support line . I tell customers that the store is for repairs and sales, and thats about it. I hate when ppl waste their time because they think going to the store is the best option
I try my best to educate as many customers as possible cause i know its rare you get a knowledgable agent when calling the support line
That's an amazing video! Happy you're using your channel to bring this to light!
I know my experiences are not unique here.
I've got to share this brilliant video with my iFriends. "IT JUST WORKS", they say. I love that you concluded with that cherry on top. Thank You!!!
I KNEW my experiences weren't unique. I feel it's important we keep airing this laundry to help other people out.
It's great having a grandson who's technical, logical and smart.
"What do you want? We gave it another update! You SAID you wanted support for that older Intel machine. There you go. We "SUPPORTED" it."
-Tim Apple
Wow instead of fixing the problem they just piled more problems on top it. That really sucks. As a Tech reviewer myself we need to further educate the masses to those who don't know. I'm sorry that this happened SGG!
They've been tackling this for the better part of a decade and every "fix" from apple has introduced more issues to solve. 🤦
Same. It takes a LOT of patience, and I've started using a LOT of car metaphors LOL. We gotta keep up with them though.
16GB for $350?! What the absolute fuck
Cheers! //Rick
Something a "genius" should have figured out eight years ago right?
@@SomeGadgetGuy I am having these same issue with my 2020 MBA base model. I only use it for DJing only and I keep all my songs on an external HD. But even so, I don't have enough space to perform an OS upgrade. So frustrating.
iOS have a lot of weird glitches once storage is full. My sis’ 13 Pro Max 1 TB is almost always full because she’s too busy to unload the photos to external SSD and she and I (checking her iPhone) have encountered a lot of weird UI and usability bugs. Stuff like random restarts, photos showing in wrong orientation in library, Wi-Fi stops working for hours at times, apps cannot update even with ~20 GB storage freed
Personal experience is Apple geniuses work harder in East Asia, and Thailand and Singapore. In the US they provide less and less support probably to cut cost
Makes sense in the USA market. Consumers won't leave, so why provide better support. Just turn geniuses into more sales.
Tech shop workers answer to everything is, have you tried re booting the device? That should fix it..
LOL according to my mom, each tablet had MULTIPLE rounds of "lemme take it into the back and run some scans on it".
🙄😂
I have the opposite problem, my family always comes to me with their tech issues and for recommendations. The problem here is they always do the opposite of what I advise and it ends up causing more issues or more money. It just got to the point where I don’t offer to help anymore.
Ugh. That burns.
How did you fix the cache?
I feel your oain. The curse of the 16gb apple devices. I'm glad that I helped steer my mother-in-law to larger storage on her phone and tablet. I, too am the non apple user in the family and none of the others who DO use apple understand any of this.
And doing it in a second language doesn't help either!
I've been lucky so far.
Keep fighting the good fight. It's appreciated even if they dont thank you for it.
16 gb of storage on anything in 2024 is diabolical. 64 gb should be the bare minimum companies offer. Heck I’ll even go 128 gb.
Samsung has ABSOLUTELY been pulling some similar BS. It's so frustrating.
I feel your frustration brother. This was a gross story.
Well who’s laughing now grandma? Anxiety over my reaction? Fine… I’ll make a video now.
To be fair, I think it was more my aunts and uncles. When SHE hit a breaking point she hit me up.
@SomeGadgetGuy hahaha I love it. Almost spit out my noods
For more videos like that!!
Thank you! Stay tuned.
16 gig iPad ? How old is that thing?
Old. She's been dealing with poor support for the better part of a decade.
To get the list of apple official support shops you can physically visit, they require that you login, that require a working phone, because of the login token it sends to the phone.
So what does people with a broken phone do?
Just buy a new phone right!
🤷
I understand your frustration. I feel the same way with my family sometimes.
We gotta keep on top of them, even when they really push back...
No way they subscribed her to a 2tb. That is a carmax level 21% interest rate level scam......what the heckkkkkk. Justice for SomeGadgetGranny
It appears they also sold her an iPad 2 (2011-2014) as "new". Must've been a customer-return they'd been looking to offload for ages they had out-back.
That's appalling! 😡
This is the reason why I've been on Android since the OG Motorola Droid. I never liked the whole "black box" nature of Apple software.
We have to stay vigilant to some of the nonsense Samsung is pulling, but at least we have some choice in android land.
I felt stressed listening to how Grandma's iPad situation worsened :/
She's been living it for the better part of a decade 😢
@@SomeGadgetGuyI never had any of the problems you stated throughout this video.
We'll get there 👍
@SomeGadgetGuy Good luck! I've always loved your content. Thank you.
this is a huge shootout to independent repair
YUP!
Doing the good work 👍
Oh I've experienced the pain of a 16gb iPad with the one my wife uses for work. I can't believe it is a thing in 2024.
LOL RIGHT!
@@dftfireI was wondering the same thing. How long ago did Apple replace this device? These devices are ancient by today’s standards.
I use a 32GB iPad, it it is a pain! Can’t update it to iOS 18, it tells me to free up space. I am upgrading to the 10th Gen from the 8th Gen.
I have had this issue before where backups fail, but iOS keeps the damn backup files copied in "Other" and won't give the damn storage back for ages. It is infuriating. I love having better access to the file system on Android. And the annoying suggestions to buy more iCloud THAT DOESN'T FIX THE PROBLEM.... so Apple 🙄
It's so frustrating how locked out we are, but the geniuses should have been able to diagnose and fix this for her.
Dang, sorry for what your family went through.
Completely relate
Parents, older siblings, Aunties and Uncles, etc...
Keep on them. You'll probably never get the kudos you deserve for helping, but it is appreciated.
The only really expensive solution is to buy your grandma a 2T IPad Pro.
It's what Tim would want 😂💰
Will do! This definitely needs a follow up.
16GB Apple Devices are still being sold at stores?!

@SomeGadgetGuy hey I know a guy who knows a lot about portable storage! Lol
really doesn't surprise me.....sadly
I really wish this was better... Apple never gets the "market correction" scrutiny they likely deserve.
@@SomeGadgetGuy been saying that for years
believe me it is a lost case .
i tried very hard to make my sister buy s10 with 128 GB over iphone 11 with 64 GB years ago because i knew how she uses her phone .
s10 with micro SD and 128 GB and a file manger and copy paste photos over usb c .
now she has a full storage warning every day and a icloud subscription and could not download new app or game unless she delete another app or game .
Stay on her. Be patient. Listen more than talk. You can get her back. I find people are more repsonsive when we REALLY work hard to frame this as "this is NOT your fault. This is how youre are getting taken advantage of. We CAN make this better and get you a better fit for your needs."
Then completely leave it alone. Dont push it anymore than that.
People today dont have much empathy, but they are REALLY responsive to sympathy for their issues.
What iPads are these? Apple hasn't sold a 16 GB iPad since like 2017.
Pinned comment
So they sold her an iPad with,in effect, 2GB of storage.
Yup. That.
At least not without crazy annoying workarounds
And Google takeout?
I wonder what Christmas Season will bring. Hope it's not; "Grandma got ran over by an IPAD"
🤣
Im dealing with currently paying for my sons iPad 9th gen to be fixed due to working perfectly. But if they can't fit it, getting him a new 9th get and upgrading the storage while adding applcare so it lasts longer.
I hope that works out for you.
"other" ...
Maybe. It's tough to say when this is a situation that's been playing out over about a decade.
She's been dealing with these issues since iPads were sold new with 16GB. The GENIUSES haven't been able to fix it since then.
Have to love someone on Reddit claiming I'm being a shill for Apple here and "Juan shows the iPad model near the end of the video, he literally shows the back of it"
You mean at around 13:05 where he doesn't show the area where the model would be and cuts the zoom-out off before it? 🧐
Like no-one is defending Apple here guys.
It shouldn't even need a "genius"... Just someone curious enough to open the settings...
thank you for speaking the truth and sharing your story
I feel A LOT of people have had similar experiences. Just trying to keep the conversation going.
Grandma says control your anger! Don’t get mad; Get a refund instead. 🙂😊
Grandma is a wise woman 😊
We're working through it. Now just making sure we can back up her cloud photos before we nuke the tablets. Apple does NOT make this easy.
Why does your grandmother's iPads have so little storage (16GB ???)?
I mean, my iPhone 15 has 128GB of storage!

I hate IOS file manager.
I wish more folks understood how files were saved. I'm working with my daughter a LOT to explain how this stuff is organized. Kids have NO concept of what's happening behind the scenes.
@SomeGadgetGuy what do you mean?
@@thetechboyorg A lot less exposure to the inner workings of machines for iPad kids.
@integerofdoom69 oh ok
We're in desperate need of regulatory oversight and fresh competition in this space. Trillion dollar brands are NOT getting it done.
Was there actually any way to fix the iPad? You said storage was full but couldn't clear "Other" space. Photos were offloaded, so maybe an app was the issue? I'm curious
Also, just to play devils advocate, you don't know what your grandma said to the "genius". Ofcourse this is the same company that had the response "buy your mom and iphone [if she can't receive your videos from an android]"
As for Apple, how does your grandmother share photos?
Oh yeah. Samsung been doing some shady stuff too...
It’s giving 256gb 8gb 12” inch MacBook Air
Yup that’s Apple support for ya
Yeah, the infamous "other", i had my own problems with it, until i got a 8gb iPhone 5c, scr3w you apple!
Yeah. I cant get the REST of the family on Android, and they seem to like facetime.
"buy your grandma a "new" iPad" 😂
In the process of shifting off numerous MacBook Pros/Airs etc at work to restore productivity and user sanity. It'll be the last time in my life I tech assist with Apple involved.
The "just works" is probably the biggest lie in history. "Just works.....at removing ones sanity and draining ones wallet $😂
LOL it JUST works.
