This is the exhaust I have! God its SOOO good. I had all the shiny imported exhausts on my VA and then I flipped to awe on the sti and then got awe again when i got my vb wrx. these guys just get it done and you're right theres no drone but when you hammer it the panties drop. and they give you a blow pop with your exhaust so theres the real win LOL.
Hey guys, sorry for the delay in responding. It's louder of course but from what I've heard basically the same as any aftermarket kit. So think about it this way: they will all be the same loudness at start up, it's just that IMO AWE nailed it on the sound overall, what the car should be - hope this helps! I'll try to do a better job of responding faster!
The XForce has the valves which I prefer. AWE isn’t necessarily louder, just kind of a deeper sound.Honestly XForce has one of the best sounding systems, and the XForce comes with a high flow cat & j pipe as well. AWE has no drone, but XForce also has less interior noise than AWE
SPT with remark touring here, you can check my video in the channel. Remark sport touring is really good for daily driving but highway cruise there will be slight drone
I just installed this on my SPT and you do get a pop under hard acceleration in sport# mode. I used to have the ETS muffled exhaust but because the CVT likes to hover around 2k rpm, the drone was horrible. AWE has no drone at all
@@RevolveAutothank you for the quick reply. Just subbed for that. I wanted a pair of ramps that gave enough clearance to install the exhaust comfortably but also wanted to make sure I could use it for oil changes so I didn’t buy them for a one time job 👍
i have the awe touring on my car ditched the shit clamps it came with. no matter how tight the clamps where they still leaked. Picked up some of the wide stainless band clamps no leaks.
@@MrArhjayy PN 33222 from Oreilly, replaced all 4 of the shit clamps they sent with these and havent had any more leaks. Still baffles me for $1600.00 they cant put flanges like every other company.
The CVT "shifts" so fast and makes a nice pop sound and Rev matches when "down shifting". It's really fun to drive. Plus my left leg thanks me when sitting in traffic everyday 😂
I have a Limited with manual, but in all honesty, I'd love to have the GT with the magnetic dampening suspension and Recaro seats, even if it only comes with the CVT.
@@VB_Bryan it's a completely different CVT they designed because of all the complaints from last gen. Subaru made the new one the Subaru Performance Transmission (SPT). Upshifts are 30% faster and downshifts are 50% faster, and the WRX will now blip the engine to perform rev-matching downshifts under braking. The fixed gear ratios have also been lowered to improve responsiveness vs the previous CVT they had.

How much louder is the cold start? Don’t want to wake neighbors
same question as other commenter

@@karlkincaid8773 better than borla?
How was the clearance while installing the exhaust system using those ramps?
how does xforce stack against this system? not sure what sounds better but i like the idea of the valves!!

Only thing I prefer is the gloss black tips and we don’t need the valves necessarily so we’re gonna stick with the AWE Touring!
I think this is the exhaust I want for mine. The start up on stock is so loud when you’re sitting inside the vehicle
Yeah the stock drone has tons of bass, and at low RPMs. The AWE removes drone completely, but you can hear the car from the outside which is nice 👍🏻
Is your WRX stock suspension. I noticed that your rear knuckle/hub is aluminum. The ones I have is made of steel or iron
Awesome! Did you consider Remark sports touring exhaust? I can’t decide between the two 😂
Yes I did consider that one as well. Went with the AWE since it’s the best rated for no drone :)
@@RevolveAuto how do you like it compared to the stock exhaust? Do you need any mod/tune for it?
@@jchen1225 way better than stock, and basically no/less drone than stock which is awesome! No tune required for a catback :)
SPT with remark touring here, you can check my video in the channel. Remark sport touring is really good for daily driving but highway cruise there will be slight drone
Revolveauto! love it-how unreal recording! later. =)
I have the SPT too; any pops with this exhaust?

Is this exhaust loud enough? I have the track but it drones too much. Gonna get the conversion for this but don’t want it too quiet.
Oh it’s loud for sure! AWE said Track and Touring are similar volumes, track is just slightly louder and cold starts are tamer with the touring
@@RevolveAuto thanks! So you just think the touring knocks down the drone? I have an fa20 2020 WRX btw
@@JMerk2222 yeah the drone is non existent, and still loud outside of the car
@@RevolveAuto thank you sir 🫡 I appreciate all of the help!
Do those race ramps have enough clearance to drive the front of the vehicle on without rubbing or hitting the bumper stock height on these cars ?
Yes it perfectly clears it

You have convinced me to find another platform.
How do you deal with water condensate leaking through the V-bands?

MAPerformance exhaust is way nicer sounding and the welds are better, you also can go from track or street version the same way.
Oh heck no, definitely not nicer sounding, it’s more tin sounding than the AWE

Why bother on an auto? I'd want to hide the sound more if I had the CVT.

would absolutely delete you while you ruin the clutch on a 6 speed
Wrong transmission in that car
It’s actually a really nice performance CVT😎
@@RevolveAuto until you have to rebuild it at 60k miles. Let us hope not but history does tend to repeat itself and the VA's were known for it so
@@203cyrus well it’s a completely different CVT so we will see
