      Agreed. In my auditory auto heirarchy the V12 reigns supreme (particularly the Murci LP 670-4), followed by the V10 of the LFA and then the mezger flat 6 in the GT3 RS 4.0 My little 3.2 has a pretty unique sound though, which will have to suffice until I can afford more cylinders!

      I've driven a lot of great cars; R8 v10 manual, AMG GTS, New NSX, Huracan, GT4, etc. IMO, the 987 Boxster is still the perfect car. The one I drove had buckets and no ac or radio. @Sha-Ayo I'm not familiar with jags so I can't advise you there. What I can tell you is the 06 boxster S is the only porsche with a low risk of bore score and the large ims bearing. So it has the lowest chance if either issue. I maintain it very well and drive it hard.

      06 is a 3.2L and 07 is 3.4 bit have IMS bearings that are not serviceable but have a very low failure rate. 3.4 L motors can have bore scoring issues but is uncommon with 3.2. 09+ use the 9a1 engine so no IMS bearing and I belive they're very reliable. 2013 is the 981 body style. I have a 981 cayman and they are very different cars. The older cars have far better steering and have much more feel while the newer car is more refined and more powerful. I love them both.

    • @Poorschedriver
      @Poorschedriver  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All 2005 and 2006 were 3.2. Many consider the 3.2 the sweet spot for the boxster because it has the larger IMS bearing which doesn't fail and the 3.2 motor isn't typically subjected to bore scoring like the other M96 motors.
