Mad Max is a third-person action-adventure vehicular combat video game set in an open world environment and based on the Mad Max film series. It is developed by Avalanche Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. It was released on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Max's journey to the Plains of Silence takes an unexpected turn when a group of War Boys (run by warlord Scabrous Scrotus, psychotic son of Immortan Joe) run him off the road and steal his clothes, his supplies, his weapons, and his car before leaving him to rot in the desert sun. Traversing the wasteland in search of his prized Interceptor, Max meets a hunchbacked mechanic named Chumbucket, an overzealous individual that's hell bent on crafting the perfect vehicle, the Magnum Opus. After giving Max hope of exacting vengeance on Scrotus, the two form an unlikely partnership and set out in the base of the Opus in search of food, water, allies, upgrades, and redemption in a world devoid of sanity.

Sorry I'm late, but yeah it's really good, I'm actually still playing now. It's been in my library for months and now I'm able to play. It's lives up to the hype. That car customization is amazingly good.

This game was a surprise hit for me back when I got it. I still love playing it to this day. For a game that hardly anyone knew about, it is fantastic. I love the huge open world, tons of stuff to do (though you're right it does get a bit repetitive), unique world locations, and interesting characters. The only thing I don't like about the game are the death run races. And the game forces you to run at least two in order to finish the story. Also, (minor spoiler) the story has a downer ending, but hey, that's Mad Max in general. A plus is that once you complete the story, you can continue playing where you left off to keep doing all the missions and side jobs.

I remember playing this as a kid, so nostalgic.
These comments make me feel like I'm no longer part of this world. I'm only 35 and I grew up in a completely different society. People grew up with the ps4 and God it makes me feel old. I got my ps4 in 2014 at 28 years old. Kids are growing up way too fast and it's making us 80s babies feel like a forgotten generation. At least for me anyway. A few words of wisdom Shaheen, don't be in a rush to grow up, cherish the world you grew up in while you can because in 15 years you'll be making this comment, wondering what happened and feeling like the world has passed you by.

@@raidin1670 I played through it a couple years ago on PS4, and I'm currently going through on PC now that I have one and oh boy, it holds up. Have 60 hours in. The explosion and engine sound/fx are great for the time (even now). And the desert setting holds up well. Find myself just as excited as I was the first time getting those car/engine upgrades and prowling the wasteland destroying everything in my path! I'd recommend ACG's technical video on the game. He talks about the sound and design and all that. Def an underrated game!

No, it's perfect on PC. I'll even go as far as to say it's better optimised than Fallout 76
@@prashanthraghavendran2628 It is really well optimized but I have had a few missions bug out here and there. Kept me from getting the 100% completion achievement because of one mission.
