All the secrets of bed fishing! Underwater strikes and how to go about bed fishing for bass!

  • For this “In the Boat Presented by RAILBLAZA” we went to a small lake while in Texas for Stage 1 of Major League Fishing Bass Pro Tour. Since we were competing on Sam Rayburn and had a couple off days we thought we’d go to this little lake and check it out. We found out quick that they were spawning hard here and many were willing to play! There are a lot of tips that can help you get those stubborn fish to bite and bite sooner. Be sure to check out VMC Tokyo rig and you’ll see why it’s become my go to for bed fishing!

If there is a better human being in the world of fishing, I'd be shocked. I have become a huge fan of this guy, and the stories of his kindness and humility are abundant. What a great role model for the young guys who want to chase the dream of being a professional angler.

I agree also. I met him at a gas station when MLF eas in the Raleigh area. He almost seemed a little shy but we had a brief conversation. Good for the sport and life in general.

Wow! I was amazed to see the underwater footage of those bass and how quickly they picked up and spit out that bait! You gotta be quick on the draw to catch them like that! That was a lesson into itself, and it makes you think about how many fish we actually miss like that. Great video and it's much appreciated! You are the man Ott! God bless you and your family, even more than He already has!

Hey bro, I'm a well known rock singer...(Hardline with Neal Schon from Journey) on tour in Europe at the moment. Once home (Connecticut), I'm shooting down to Tarpon Lake - Tampa. 3 days on the lake...and then some off-shore for the Tarpon run. There's a lot of us rock guys that enjoy your vids man. You might also be able to sing a few country songs with that accent you have !! haha - It's awesome to watch these and learn. Remember bro, us novice guys are really focused on how you rig the bait. Like, I freeze the frame to see exactly what the presentation looks like. Keep it in mind.... Best to you and your family. -Johnny Gioeli

My brother in law and I will down your way for 3 to 4 days at the Cherokee basin on the 15, 16 and 17th. Not sure where live but would love to meet you sometime and do some fishing on Douglas.

Thank you again for another fantastic video!!!!! I always feel like I learn so much, and your format makes it so easy to understand what your doing and why. I did notice that you have the extra brace for your 360 that helps stabilize the transducer; first, where can you buy one, and second, I see a lot of boats without them, are they necessary?

She’s trying to get it out of her bed to protect the bed so she can have her youngins. There’s no secret to catch those fish. I’m disappointed you’re bothering these mothers while they’re trying to to give birth. I wonder what you wife thinks about this? Nothing professional about catching these fish. Go out and catch the difficult fish. Dang man. 👎🙏🥸
