I’ve heard of Compagnon from a few of my photography buddies before but this bag looks interesting I’m going to have to do more research thanks for this!
Great video. Really considering this bag, ability to stand on its own is a big win compared to the Shimoda Urban explore. But I am also worrying about the lack of side access. The top access look nice, but I must always full packed or use both cubes, otherwise there will be no support at the bottom of the bag (I think). But it is so practically designed, so far it's the best for my needs....
My bag is very similar in design. I definitely love that the camera opening is in the rear next to your back. I also like something that will hold up to hiking and handle tree branches, thorns, rocks, etc. The modular design with the removable cube is also really nice so you can use the bag for some other than cameras if you wish or you can put the cube into another backpack. The main problem with most backpacks for me is the price. I shopped for a long time until I got mine on sale. It's a LowePro Photo Hatchback BP 250 AW II that only cost me about $60.00 at B and H. I was in NYC and decided to take a look around the store one day and got lucky. I've had this backpack for 2 years now I think and it's still in great shape. The only thing mine doesn't have that yours does is the extra straps for securing a tripod. But, I'm working on something for that! Great review of a great bag... Have a good day!
I preordered the new Shimoda Urban Explore, I also have lower back pain and the frame in their bags seems great to help with that but I will find out soon how well it works.
@@Iamtongue thank you! I have the Viltrox 27 mm f1.2 but thinking of selling it and getting a Fujinon 33 mm 1.4 because all of your videos telling its qualities...
@@Iamtongue I've got the 10L version. I love the 10L size for a single camera setup with one or two lenses, but it can seem a little too small at times.
@@IamtongueI don't know how the Wandrd PRVKE would be compared with this bag, but my experience is the PRVKE is more comfortable than Shimoda Urban explore on my back. I don't have a problem on my back but I do have some problems of my shoulders. Sometimes the thinner but also softer straps like PRVKE is more comfortable for me.😂 Just saying, it is so difficult to make a bag that fits everyone
Bro... carrying 3 cameras is out of control LOL. I've actually heard of them (TBH, I've had this bag along with a few others in my wish list on B&H). The other bag that I'm looking out for is the Shimoda Urban (it's so similar to this one). Do you know what the depth is of the bag? How tall is the GFX lens? I'm still rocking the first camera backpack I bought over 3 years ago, Wandered Prke 21. It takes a beating and still holding up, though, IMO the use of space could be a whole lot better.
no idea how tall it is, but it's your standard packing cube. Use to have a wanrd bag but its one of those bags that made me pinch my lower back. So i had to get rid of it. XD
Honestly wearing a dedicated photography gear camera is asking to get robbed (just ask Manny Ortiz lol). Just pack camera and a few lenses on a cube and place it inside an ugly regular backpack from Uniqlo. To be inconspicuous is the name of the game!
@@Iamtongue I have owned a lot of bags, including Peak Design, and nothing comes close. I currently have 3 of their bags. Not cheap. But top of the line in quality and design. Their sling is amazing.

“I’m a simple man” . . . packs 3 cameras 😂
LOL bro I had to try and fill the bag for this video 😂
Hi Tung! Love your channel, best on youtube❤. Need help for choosing which and how many lenses to carry in a Japan trip next June. Plz help!
A prime lens for street photography and a zoom lens if you’re traveling outside the city 😀

My favorite is the Tenba Fulton V2 14L, but this seems like a great bag as well.
woah this one seems cool! Thanks for the suggestion

Great tip! I bought the Tenba Fulton V2 14L Tan/Olive.
im a wandrd user myself. it's like a mix of the prvke/hexad access.
I;ve owned a wandrd bag in the past. Never again haha it's one of those bags that fucked up my back.
@@Iamtongue haha I figured that u wouldn't be a wandrd user after u talked about padding.
@@robreyez it’s a shame though I think they make some good looking bags 😅😂

Can you recommend something within a $100 range? 😅
To be honest with you I don't know of many camera backpacks around that price range. I dont know if there are any especially in this economy 😅

yup that's what I try to preach!
Nah. Get a McKinnon Nomatic. Nothing else comes close.
Oh Ya they’re really good?
