Hi there! We recently bought the bag too, and your video was actually part of our research before making the purchase. I noticed you talked about the safety strap feature. Here's a little tip: if you push only one side of the soft clip into each other, instead of both at the same time, it slides nicely under the ring. Give it a try! Hope this helps and have an awesome day! 😊🎒
Hello. excellent review, very detailed, for a very attractive product, both in terms of costs, but above all incredible quality. I met this company about 2 years ago, I purchased my first ONEMO 25 liter backpack. the choice of this backpack was not random, but after months and months of searching for the "perfect" photography backpack, I trusted it and I really liked it aesthetically. I have only been purchasing PGYTECH products for 2 years. I don't even look at other comparisons or other brands anymore, I like to be on the safe side. I also purchased the 35 liter ONEMO 2, plus women's photographic bags and shoulder straps (excellent gifts for Christmas). The ONEMO 2 was tested in rain and very adverse weather conditions. I was confident in my gear, all dry and protected. The backpack is excellently structured, studied in every detail, and the internal bag is truly a unique surplus. So my compliments go both to you for the review and to this company!! keep it up
I love my OneMo 1 - that small pack I find very useful once I arrive on location to have my camera and a lens or 2 quickly accessible - much faster fro my style than having to reach back into the main backpack for my camera - obviously it's a matter of what sort of shooting style once has.
Great review Dunna! I remember the "security loops" issue you mentioned from some promo photos/videos, and I think you have to hook/thread the hard part of the zipper toggle through the loop for it to work. They don't slide through easily like you were trying to do since that wouldn't help stop thieves from trying to open the bag. I really appreciate you showing how both the backpack and sling look when wearing them, as well as being honest with your opinions about your likes and dislikes about the design. 😊 Looking forward to your next video!
I have to agree with ll your negatives and can tell you that they are all in the original OneMo which I own. I tend to have a lot of gear and like to keep it all in the one bag (as storage at home, and so I can just grab the one bag and go), removing what I don't need when I get to a location so I don't lug around too much weight. Being in Australia, hydration is important, and the water bottle pocket just looks a bit too small, and there is no provision for a hydration bag, although I think the laptop sleeve could well be modified easily (OneMo 3?) to allow for its use. Overall, I like the quality and apparent durability - mine still looks like new after several years' use - something my f-stop bag can't boast - and I think it will give me great service for quite a while yet. The PgyTech bags are also quite light for their size, which is a big plus for me, given I'm getting on in years.
Loved (and still loving) the original version. This version makes me excited because of the upgrades. The original one was already great value. It's funny you're complaining about the things that were improved from before (I don't disagree, all are valid to say), but I'm just happy about PGYTech improving this. Also, their customer support is a bit of work but they do try. And the lifetime warranty is great to see.
I always love your bag reviews: very detailed and we have similar views on organization requirements, features and aesthetics (cuz yeah, that DEFINITELY matters LOL!) We need a 2023 bag showdown (maybe I’m the only one that wants this 😂😂) thanks for sharing Dunna!
Hey Dunna, love your content! Now I'm a little conflicted.. Which backpack would you recommend for someone who has only one backpack for traveling and got heaps of equipment. The PeakDesign 45 or rather the Pgytech?
Honestly, that one is a bit of a toss up for me. They kind of serve a similar purpose but in slightly different ways. The peak is a solid contender and it well laid out but the extra pockets on the pgy are nice. Super close call.
Have the 1st generation of this bag. Like it at about 85%..what I dont like is the mechanism of the buckle for the tripod sleeve (the same mechanism for all the buckles of the bag lol) is completely time consuming..besides that the bag is almost perfect lol
Hello Donna, an impressive review, so detailed and well produced, thank you. I’m actually researching to find a multiple drones bag for my work, I’m looking to pack a mini 3, air2s, and a mavic 3; plus several batteries for each and other accessories including a landing pad, collapsible mini cones. I just want it all in one place so that I don’t need to make multiple trips to the car as i’m often parked far away from the job. This camera bag seems to fit the bill but it’s a bit of an investment £’s. I was wondering what your thoughts on my usage factor are for this bag? I’d value your opinion. 👍😊
Great review as always! Im curious how you feel that this bag stands up to the Shimoda explore series? I Know that the Shimoda is a bit more expensive but aside from the Sling bag the Shimoda seems to be much more feature rich in the 25 and 30L range, and the hip straps on the Shimoda are kind of heaven like.
Yeah, all in all I still prefer the Shimoda. It’s just a really great mix and a lot of solid options. I’m literally using it right now for some travel.
would the shoulder bag work as the "top pocket", with the lid unzipoped and folded back so you can still get into ti from the top? instead of having the bulge at the bottom.
Nice review. What bag would you recommend between this one, the Shimoda or the peak design travel bag? Is the pgytech more comfy than peak design? Thanks man.
for you and your workflow, would you pick this or the 41L wandrd prvke? personally i like the expansion on the roll top expanding the height of the bag (on the prvke) rather than the depth (like the pgytech) - just bought a wandrd prvke so hopefully it works out
I own the PRVKE 41 and I can't say enough good things about this bag. The versatility along with the roomy interior just wins in my book. You'll love it.
Awesome review. I just purchased the 25L one. Intended to use it as a replacement for my standard laptop backpack, but this one looks a bit bulky. Usually for travel, I take a carry-on luggage and my laptop backpack. Can anyone comment whether the 25L one would fit under the seat in a flight? If not, it could be a problem. Otherwise, love everything about this backpack.
One thing I wasn’t a huge fan of in the first version of this bag was the curve at the top that would make the bag too shallow inside to fit any lens or body. It’s hard to tell from the video but does it do the same on this bag or is it more squared off?
6:01 Hey Dunna! Great video! You are doing wrong with the zippers 😅 you need to do like an needle thread 🪡! If you try you will understand that is good to be stiff 🎉
Awesome review! It may not be the intended way for use, but when I travel with gear I use those small TSA locks, and it'd be perfect to clip around that theft deterrent loop and the zipper pull. 😁
Well it arrived the next day and… wow this thing is awesome! It arrived before the Vanguard and I didn’t even open that before sending it back. The OneMo 2 is perfect for me carrying my Sony A74, 24-70mm G lens, DJI RS 3, Atomos Shinobi, DJI Mini Pro 3, DJI Osmo 6, cleaning kit, spare batteries and so on.
Thanks for this great review. I am curious, this bag has everything i need. But as a interior photographer i am lookming for a bag that also walks comfortable with a big tripod at the side. The tripod holder looks a bit flimsy, did you tried the comfort with a big tripod at the side aswell? Thanks in advance!
Thank you for telling me where the airtag goes. I'm a professional thief and now I know where to look. It makes me laugh every time TH-camrs show this as thieves don't watch TH-cam 😂
What an amazing review 🥰 Thank you so much. This might be the travel backpack of my dreams... If it weren't for the always too small bottle pockets 😭 Do photographers not drink anything while hiking? I always carry 2 to 3l of water in addition to any equipment when going out for 10 hours in 30 degrees Celsius. Maybe others don't need to drink 😂 at least manufacturers give me this feeling.
That’s a great point! I know there are some bags out there with water bladder pockets if you want to go that way. Or the Shimoda action line has really nice flexible pockets that allow for bigger bottles
The trick is to go together with someone else that has two large bottle holders and then complain about the single small holder on your own bag... you wouldn't need any bottle holders if you don't carry the bottles ;) Without kidding, it's kinda weird this massive bagpack doesn't have a proper bottleholder, bit of a miss.
I had the original OneMo and just got the Shimoda Explore v2. I personally prefer the Shimoda WAY over the OneMo. The quality of material and construction on the Shimoda is on another level.
Didn't like it, send it back to Amazon. I really hated the super wide padding at shoulder/chest level. The chest strap felt awkward too. Still haven't found a new backpack for me.
Would this backpack also be usable as a pure travel/laptop backpack? I mean are these camera equipment separators totally removable in the main compartment?
Honestly? This bag is not expensive, packed with features, expandable for clothes, comes with a second bag and that's nice. It means you can use it easily to pack your gear and clothes for one week. I'd just prefer better side pockets and multiple front MOLLE straps. It's really a very nice backpack for that size.
Hey Dunna, love your videos! I have a question. I’m a hobbyist photographer and recently switched from nikon(D80) to Sony(A6400) and have only been able to pick up the kit lens and a sigma 30mm f/1.4(love this lens). I need to get a camera bag as well as another lens, preferably something with some range on it, I want a 70-200 but even the first gen f/4 are super expensive and I was wondering if you had any recommendations for a bag and lens(es) on a budget? I do love this bag in the video but it is quite expensive, I’ve watched many videos but none seem to point to what I’m looking for. I’d like a bag suited for mostly travel/everyday with some hiking as well, preferably in the 20~25-35l range. Keep up the great work!!
Very detailed and fair review! I’m definitely not a fan of the tech look but it does seem functionally well done. My big concern of these tech-looking camera bags are the comfort(PD I’m talking about you). How does it feel when you fully pack it and go for a hike?
I have had a good time with the comfort of this one, I load it up and walk for 2 or 3 hours with minimal discomfort compared to other bags that I’ve used.
@@dunnadidit and what about the waist straps? Are they effective? At first sight, I’m not a big fan of the attachement system. Doesn’t look very sturdy.
Love it Dunna! A great upgrade to my already favorite bag. But I will say the most impressive part was finding out that you're 6'1! 😂Why is everyone just 5'10 in my mind???
Superb and highly detailed review! You mentioned a "Con" as being a bit too large for your everyday needs...Have you considered or tried their 25L version? The smaller one is what I'm considering for a mid-sized mirrorless kit. Thanks again for the outstanding review!
Does the Nikon z9 would fit in the bag? It has to have a depth of 15cm because the z9 is 15x15cm and in my original onemo1 it’s too narrow, especially with a MacBook inside the bag 😢 Would nice to hear some answers, also from other 35L users ✌️
Hey man! I'm also a tripod and water bottle kinda guy! Looking for something to replace my 32 L peak design though. Do you have any recommendations? I've looked at several good ones, but often comes with only one side pocket!
the top pocket above the tripod pouch on the 25L does not open all the way nor does it have the features inside as shown, plus the laptop elastic strap thing comes off very easy once a laptop is in place. Velcro would be better
Just bought this bag and I've got one huge issue with it. The capture clip and water/tripod are on the same side of the bag, so it puts all the weight on that one shoulder and makes the bag really uncomfortable. They should have allowed us to put the capture clip on either shoulder (so it doesn't interfere with the phone pocket), or put the water bottle pocket on the opposite side to balance the weight better Also, the sternum strap doesn't have a buckle to quickly undo it which is really frustrating for utilising side access quickly. Not having the sternum strap on makes the bag significantly less comfortable
Highly considering this. I think this bag absolutely nailed it. But it is a bit of a dealbreaker when I don’t have a tripod and a water bottle slot. I love my Peak Design 45L but it is so uncomfortable.
Haha my Wandrd isn’t exactly new anymore haha. They have different purposes for me. The Wandrd is better as a flexible everyday with a bit of travel kinda bag. This one is better for when I need to carry a TON of gear or if I want an all-in-one bag that is SOLID for travel.
@@dunnadidit Thx for the response, Dunna! Well, the v3 is called "new prvke" thats what i meant. My Wandrd + extra mini + cube is arriving next week so, your videos made my buy it :)
Yup! It was actually pretty comfortable. I didn’t have it SUPER packed full but there were a couple camera bodies and 3or 4 lenses with 2 tripods and accessories. I thought it held up quite well in the comfort department.
@@dunnadidit I noticed you didn't cover the top straps that pull the weight of the backpack towards your body, similar to a proper backpack that you would get from the likes of Osprey. They must not work that well if they didn't get a mention, but its the only camera bag that I've seen with that feature and was hoping it would make it a great bag for hiking.
Some amazon reviews say the straps just tear down after some use. That plastic clip that attaches those shoulder + hip straps - is really weird. I also see Manfrotto using it. It could not handle the weight of the bag, man. Sounds like a major risk to your equipment
The security loop works great! The fact that even reviewers who had time with the bag don't know how to work it is a win because you have to be familiar with the backpack to know how to slip it through the loop. haha It feels like you briefly had the backpack before making this review. 🤨You have to hook the rubber part through the loop on the pointy end and out the other, not bend it or try to smash it through
I tried that actually(or at least what I think you’re saying), still wouldn’t go through. I’ve had the bag for a few months now. It’s funny, some of them work okay, but others are too tight to fit no matter which way I try… squeezing, bending or hooking it through as you mentioned. I spent a lot of time trying to make sure I wasn’t just misunderstanding.
@@dunnadiditGreat video and love your in depth videos! As @obryn mentioned the trick with the security loop is to 'hook' in the corner of the 'U' shaped rubber then rotate the hook/'U' until it goes through. Hope that helps!
@@dunnadidit good to know. I have always been a huge Peak Design fan and own a 20 and 30 liter everyday back pack. This really looks smaller that the Peak Design 45. Also, without the need to buy any extra camera cubes, this is favorably priced for my trip to Namibia. Thanks for the video.
The OneMo og was really bad. The straps were horrible and dug into my shoulders. I wonder how much better the new straps are. Also the fact that their own bags don't fit their own Beetle quick release clips baffles me. How do you design 2 products that should work together but can't?
@@dunnadidit Yes the Beetle barely fits the first version. I struggled to put it on and even then I had to place it in a position that digs into my shoulders on top of the hard/sharp edges of the straps on the first version. I used it once and decided to sell it. I've had cheaper backpacks by Vanguard that carried heavier loads with no issues.
DONT MAKE ME CHOOSE 😫 Lol for me, I think the Wandrd still wins. Though there are things I do prefer about this one, the wandrd suits me for a more every day bag. This one is great for an all-in-one travel bag.
I would like to see a new approach to securing a tripod to a pack. The pouches are frustrating and not the creative. I have imagined techniques using the ball head.
At first, looks like an interesting bag, but they fucked up with the chest strap to connect the shoulder straps, not an easy 1 hand action to get it lose and swing the bag around. I will pass, Such a shame. Thnx for the review btw.
And most importantly, it isn't named after a TH-camr which hikes up the price 2-3x more than what is really worth, in turn ripping people off lol. PGYTECH is where it's at. I'll be trekking through 7 different countries in a few months. Let's see if it as durable they say it is.
I hate it when one says CHEAP as in reference to quality, when one really means is AFFORDABILITY! That sales pitch when the word CHEAP is used sounds so misleading! 😢
I generally try to use “inexpensive” but this one slipped past me! Thanks for bringing it to my attention. If it’s any consolation, the bag also is not cheap in a quality way either!
Damn. If only they'd watched my review they would've known how to make it the perfect bag. V2 seems to solve a few of my issues but not worth the upgrade from V1 imo
In my opinion, it’s so much more than just protection. Comfort, convenience, versatility, aesthetic etc. all make a big difference in the way that I choose to use a bag. Technically, you could strap anything to your back and toss a bunch of gear in it, but you could also technically live in a big empty box as well. The features and functions aren’t the baseline, they’re the things that make life feel better and take stress out of situations.

Superb and highly detailed review! You mentioned a "Con" as being a bit too large for your everyday needs...Have you considered or tried their 25L version? The smaller one is what I'm considering for a mid-sized mirrorless kit. Thanks again for the outstanding review!
Are you going to be doing a comparison between both? I have the original one and wanna know if there's enough of a difference to upgrade.
Great objective review, thank you.
Did they get rid of the RFID lining? I believe I had my cards scanned through my backpack so that's an important feature.
Does the Nikon z9 would fit in the bag? It has to have a depth of 15cm because the z9 is 15x15cm and in my original onemo1 it’s too narrow, especially with a MacBook inside the bag 😢
Would nice to hear some answers, also from other 35L users ✌️
Hey man! I'm also a tripod and water bottle kinda guy! Looking for something to replace my 32 L peak design though. Do you have any recommendations? I've looked at several good ones, but often comes with only one side pocket!
Are the backpack straps double stitched?
Pgytech onemo 2 vs wandr prvke 31L? which one would u choose?
What is the actual depth of the bag, outer measurement? Wondering if it will pass as a personal item bag.
the top pocket above the tripod pouch on the 25L does not open all the way nor does it have the features inside as shown, plus the laptop elastic strap thing comes off very easy once a laptop is in place. Velcro would be better
I still love the Wandrd PRVKE v1 that I inherited from a special someone ;)
Still a great bag!
Why the side quick access is on the wrong side :) ?
Great review. You have a new Sub.
Just bought this bag and I've got one huge issue with it. The capture clip and water/tripod are on the same side of the bag, so it puts all the weight on that one shoulder and makes the bag really uncomfortable.
They should have allowed us to put the capture clip on either shoulder (so it doesn't interfere with the phone pocket), or put the water bottle pocket on the opposite side to balance the weight better
Also, the sternum strap doesn't have a buckle to quickly undo it which is really frustrating for utilising side access quickly. Not having the sternum strap on makes the bag significantly less comfortable
Highly considering this. I think this bag absolutely nailed it. But it is a bit of a dealbreaker when I don’t have a tripod and a water bottle slot. I love my Peak Design 45L but it is so uncomfortable.
what is the top opening size ?
What is the internal size of the main compartment?
It’s the only brand I find doing backpacks with gimbals storage in mind
do you prefer it over your new wandrd 31l?
Haha my Wandrd isn’t exactly new anymore haha. They have different purposes for me. The Wandrd is better as a flexible everyday with a bit of travel kinda bag. This one is better for when I need to carry a TON of gear or if I want an all-in-one bag that is SOLID for travel.
@@dunnadidit Thx for the response, Dunna! Well, the v3 is called "new prvke" thats what i meant.
My Wandrd + extra mini + cube is arriving next week so, your videos made my buy it :)
Oh haha 😂 that makes a lot more sense!
Still love the PRVKE bags and will likely always highly recommend them. They’re just so good.
@@dunnadidit Thanks a lot my dude. Stay healthy and keep going!
Best regards from Germany :)
Cheers!
This one or shimoda v2 ?
will it fit a 46 in waist?
Have you gone out for a hike with this bag? If so what was the weight, and how did it feel?
Wow. Was considering the Peak 45l travel but you may have just convinced me in this one. The extra bag is a bonus for my drone.
Definitely contenders in the same category. The peak camera cubes unfortunately have a lot of that over hang that I was talking about.
Off topic but help me solve this debate between me and my girlfriend, looser does the dishes. Is his shirt Gray or Olive/Green ?
Haha let’s just say, I don’t own any Gray t-shirts.
@@dunnadidit Dammit Dunna 🤦🏾♂️. I guess my eyes suck or maybe I need a calibrated monitor or something. Great content by the way
@naqueal haha it is a bit of a subtle green 🤷🏻♂️ thanks for the kind words and have fun with the dishes 😂🤣
The OneMo og was really bad. The straps were horrible and dug into my shoulders. I wonder how much better the new straps are.
Also the fact that their own bags don't fit their own Beetle quick release clips baffles me. How do you design 2 products that should work together but can't?
Thanks for sharing! I assume you’re talking about the beetle not working on the first version right?
@@dunnadidit Yes the Beetle barely fits the first version. I struggled to put it on and even then I had to place it in a position that digs into my shoulders on top of the hard/sharp edges of the straps on the first version. I used it once and decided to sell it. I've had cheaper backpacks by Vanguard that carried heavier loads with no issues.
"My inner Emo kid.." comment just killed me. 🙌
😜
Honestly, I don't see the difference with the Lowepro ProTactic 350 v2. My LowePro is a beast. This one seems a bit more "fragile"
Is this better or the Peter McKinnon?
Damn that’s a big bag. I have the first version but don’t think it’s that big. Lol
SOLD!
This or Wandrd Prvke?
DONT MAKE ME CHOOSE 😫
Lol for me, I think the Wandrd still wins. Though there are things I do prefer about this one, the wandrd suits me for a more every day bag. This one is great for an all-in-one travel bag.
I like this bag, but it'a almost 8 lbs alone
I would like to see a new approach to securing a tripod to a pack. The pouches are frustrating and not the creative. I have imagined techniques using the ball head.
I second this. We need some innovation in this department
At first, looks like an interesting bag, but they fucked up with the chest strap to connect the shoulder straps, not an easy 1 hand action to get it lose and swing the bag around. I will pass, Such a shame. Thnx for the review btw.
I totally hear you, definitely wish that was easier as well.

And most importantly, it isn't named after a TH-camr which hikes up the price 2-3x more than what is really worth, in turn ripping people off lol. PGYTECH is where it's at. I'll be trekking through 7 different countries in a few months. Let's see if it as durable they say it is.
Hows your onemo 2 so far after travelling?
There's to much space, WHAA! 😂

Not being able tyo mount a tripod on the front is the reason I won't buy it.
Damn. If only they'd watched my review they would've known how to make it the perfect bag. V2 seems to solve a few of my issues but not worth the upgrade from V1 imo
Hiii

Must be pretty uncomfortable to sleep on a backpack like this one.
Looks very thin.
I don't know why camera bags are getting decorated so much, the very basic is just protection.
Lowepro made 450 ii and watching the world dancing.
