I’m really happy we have a TF Movie made for kids again. The live action movies tried with Bee and ROTB but it felt like the movie side of this brand lost its connection to the roots of the series
Well, hopefully it will appeal to kids I guess. It's definitely not what I was expecting or want from a TF movie so I'm not watching this. Even the toys for it look cheap as hell and I don't think kids are going to be clamoring for them after watching this. Hasbro needs to give up trying to market toys to kids anymore as their target audience doesn't want to play with them anymore. The original animated and Bee movies were the best things to come from any attempts at movies but a lot of times even great ones just don't appeal to enough people. This franchise seems dead to me.
Personally speaking, I really like it! In terms of the movies, we NEED something different, and while I don’t think this movie is going to be groundbreaking, I think it’ll be fun time with different and familiar ideas. I saw someone say on the trailer itself that while it may not be meant for me or my generation, that doesn’t mean we still can’t find enjoyment from it. It’s a different universe, it was confirmed in an interview that this movie is completely disconnected from any other continuity, so it’s allowed to do things differently! And I look forward to seeing it with an open mind. Plus. As someone who had one of their first exposures to the franchise be Prime…the references make me very happy.
If those are the Quintesons they give me a lot of "Energon Quinteson" vibes, especially with that shot of them from the side. I'm pretty hyped for this after watching the trailer tho, ngl. I'm 31 and it got me sitting here like the kids they're aiming at going "I can't wait to see this in theaters!"
There’s three things I want to say: 1) 17:00 I’m willing to bet that D-16 is looking at the Fallen 2)I bet the Quintessons are what made cybertronians fear organics (as a nod to TFA) 3) the wildlife on the surface might be Maximals and possibly Predacons (if this movie is its own thing rather than a part of any previous movie or series)
I don’t know how to feel. It seems to be adapting The Covenant Of Primus, but there’s so much that’s weird about it, but there’s obvious evidence of Transformers Prime being heavily related to this film. It’s just… interesting.
the _figuring out how to transform_ gag is definitely the only part of the trailer where I laughed genuinely, I'm all for humor in transformers media, but there's gotta be better jokes in this than "badassatron"
I didn’t like it at first but then I really remembered that Transformers is supposed to be for kids. As adult fans we forget what it was like as a kid seeing transformers for the first time.
I am cautiously optimistic about this movie, going off the trailer. The tone did throw me a bit as well. I didn't think of the idea that maybe they crammed a bunch of jokes into the trailer, and the whole movie won't necessarily be like that. So that could be a relief. The robots didn't look so much like traditional Transformers to me, they reminded me a lot of the old timey looking robots in that Robin Williams Robots movie. You had the same thought I did there. But given this is ancient Cyberton, maybe it makes sense. I did not notice the shot of Soundwave, Starscream, and Shockwave, so thanks for that. They look good. I always thought Dirge's wings were gold or copper colored, not brown. Cool that he's there, though. Yep, that's gotta be the Quintessons! I am hyped for them!
This is 100% a full on kids movie. It really feels like a generic "buddy-friends-movie" script written in Transformers font. Replace "robots" with "cavemen" and "transform" with "weapon/steed" and the trailer sounds the same. Not going to be watching this, but i sincerely hope people who like this (especially kids) enjoy it to the fullest. The art is BEAUTIFUL and the voices are good (for celebs). Y'all have fun!
That's kind of my biggest problem. It doesn't feel like a Transformers story. It feels like they took a pre-existing script and reworked it with references and quirky humor. And given how many adaptations have done that these days I'd like to see evidence otherwise. There are good things about it and Transformers for kids should be the norm instead of a surprise but I have my issues with it that would need a full article to go over the positives and negatives.
I think the Sentinel Prime government is playing the Dr. Breen role here, cooperating with the Quintesson to oppress other Cybertronians in exchange for his own ststus.
0 IQ: The tentacle creatures are the Quintessons Infinite IQ: The tentacle creatures were all Octopunch because he’s the most overpowered villain in this franchise
I am so happy to see this movie break away from the style, tone, and design of the prior movies and make something aimed at kids. These are toys! Let your child and inner child celebrate!
I kind of hope that these films will actually get adapted to a cartoon. Think about it, a trilogy of films setting up the War for Cybertron, that then gets the main characters to Earth to finish their stories. Kind of like back in the 90s and 2000s, when so many movies got television series, like all the Disney movie shows, and even that Godzilla show. Itd be amazing.
Trailer was so good. Looking forward to seeing the film this September. I guessed the Quintessons might be the villains. I just hope that since this is an origin story, that a sequel will focus on the demise of Optimus Prime and Megatrons friendship before the division of society into Autobots and Decepticons followed by the war starting.
Surface being living metal, factory workers underground, Cybertron is typically Primus' body... Hmm, getting Mata Nui vibes here. EDIT: Furthering the BIONICLE parallels; those deer could function like the Bohrok in that they're to keep the surface clean of vegetation and the like. It's not like we haven't had wildlife before, such as Petro Rabbits and Turbo Foxes.
I want to wait and find out more details for this movie before I give any judgement. The animation is quite nice, that much I can say right off the bat
Watching the trailer, I started off immediately hating it, but came around to being neutral toward it by the end, which is an extremely positive result for a modern movie trailer. I'm also very glad it's definitely not bayformers - the art style and tone fits Earthspark if anything, and if it does well I expect that will be explicitly confirmed by the second half of TFES s2. I said before Rice of the Beets came out that I desperately hoped it would be a good movie in its own right, to draw in more than just us diehards and rebuild the brand in general pop culture, but this gives me much more hope of that actually happening.
Once I accepted the tonal shift from my expectations, I was interested enough. And this might be what finally gets my step kids into Transformers media. This looks like a lot of movies my stepdaughter likes. She hasn't enjoyed any of the shows so far, but she does like the toys.
Bumblebees g1 battle mask, A3 might be a nod to his titans return incarceration, megatron looks like his marvel comics color palette, prime looking vehicons, I am geeking!
(To clarify, this isn't personally pointed to TJOmega. It's to clarify what must be clarified for everyone with a negative view of ONE because of the trailer) The notion that this movie is "for kids" and "It's going to be bad" is straight up WRONG. 1st off, we have the test screenings, which have stated his to be the best Transformers movie ever made, and a contender for Oscar for Best Animation; 2nd, they showed scenes at Cinemacon, specifically a discussion between D-16 and Orion and the full train chase we see in the trailer, that had a way more emphasis on serious drama and exciting action; 3rd, we already have multiple interviews from director Josh Cooley proving that he's a long-time fan, he knows all the lore inside-out, and that this film's emotional focus and core will be the tragic falling out between the main characters leading to the war; 4th, this movie is about the Golden Age, not the war. It's obvious that'll be more light-hearted than what we see on WoF games; And 5th and most importantly, this is trailer for a big budget theatrical animated film! In other words, it's obvious that this isn't how the tone of the movie will be. They edited the trailer to appeal to general audiences. Everything i said previously proves to us fans that this movie is a love letter that was crafted with a lot of care and respect for EVERY Transformers version, not just the single one you might like. The complaints I've seen floating around are, at best, ignorance, or at worst, pure selfishness.
I'm cautiously optimistic, because I'm just glad we're getting a fully animated movie for a change, and not yet another "we call it live action even though it's 99% CGI" movie.
14:38 That’s Darkwing (or Blackwing with the PoTP toy), it’s pretty obvious from the color scheme and ability to fly; definitely not a new/original character, but awesome to actually see a character like that in a movie. I literally have that figure and Dreadwind on a shelf next to me, so that immediately stuck out to me.
@@blobbles5973 Do you even know what Darkwing looks like? Sure,he doesn’t have a mouth plate in his G1 design, but it’s exactly the same color palette.
@@spartanvenom5388 There are a lot of characters with that color palette . I think he’s just meant to be a generic no name character. Not Blackwing/Darkwing.
I REALLY hope this start to help repair Transformers' reputation as a franchise that Michael Bay's sophomoric humor and mindless violence created. Let's bring a whole new generation of kids with a movie with actual heart would be wonderful!
I think Bumblebee already did that. I think it would have been a hit with kids if more of them had actually seen it. I think Hasbro blew it on marketing it to kids. Even though Michael Bay was involved, he didn't direct it and probably didn't have much input in the story. I hate all the ones that came out before it but absolutely adore this one.
When I 1st heard the rumours of our cast not being able to transform at 1st. I immediately thought of the Quintesson's takeover of Cybertron. As That's literally the time period in past Transformer history for that to make sense, and this flim looks to take place in that not often seen time period!!! My only concern is Sentinel Prime. His accomplishment was freeing Cybertron from the Quintessons! Now he doesn't even seem to keep that...!
My theory about the Deceptibrand is that it's either used to mark specific people who don't fit into the grander scheme of things so people know to "watch out for them", or it's something D-16 saw without any context, likely also referring to something "lower class" and thought it looked cool, so he etched it into his shoulder. Then he sees the ruins on the surface. He sees that same brand... as a sign of something GREAT. Something potentially DIVINE. And it sticks in his mind the entire time. All the way until the end. That this sigil, once associated with something grand, was now made into something foul and unworth any more attention than basic notice. If they want something so beautiful to mean 'something to fear', he won't just give them something to fear. He'll redefine what fear is.
I don’t really know why people are surprised by the trailer, it’s made by the guy who made the Toy story movies and he made a transformers movie that feels like a Disney Pixar movie. I personally would have preferred an origin story that felt more like a War Drama that ends in a tragic battle like Anakin and Obiwan in Revenge of the Sith
@@MaverickMagnus yeah but anakin and Obiwan relationship is only really fleshed out in Revange of the Sith and a little bit in Attack of Clones. Phantom Menace really isn’t that essential to the Starwars story that’s why in a lot of Starwars watching orders they basically say to Skip Ep 1 because of how non essential it is
I don't think we'll ever get a movie like that. The franchise just isn't popular enough. Bumblebee set a much higher mark than all the movies before it and performed even worse than them. The average movie goer gets dumber and dumber. The best fans can hope for is a series or movie on a streaming site that might get a big enough budget to turn out good.
I’ve seen people complain about the story and idk what the issue is, it’s something different from what we usually see Orion isn’t a clerk and megatron isn’t a gladiator and that’s good. If it followed the known aligned/IDW origins then the story would be a bit stale for fans who know that story as we’d know how it goes but TF One using a differing formula is good to see I’d love to see this end up a trilogy where One is the pre/early war film, Two is somewhere mid war on earth with the decepticons being exiled from earth and cybertron at the end, the Three is a remix of the 86 film and I have ideas for this. Megatron some seekers and idk random decepticons would be found by unicron and be made an offer of power to take revenge and some of the decepticons agree where we get galvatron, Cyclonus, scourge, and some sweeps yet the others like shockwave, soundwave, starscream, other more noticeable characters would reject this and flee. For the autobots optimus wouldn’t die but have to grapple with he won’t be here forever and needs to have more faith in the younger generation or he’s getting to old and can’t keep fighting or he isn’t able to take on galvatron and then hot rod is the sort of apprentice where he learns what it takes to be a leader. There would be the massive unicron side vs auto bot and decepticon cause the decepticons who fled would join the auto bots and we get the hot rod vs galvatron and turns into Rodimus the new leader and the transformers return to cybertron and make peace Also the films vehicons use the prime design so we have movie verse Steve

Huh huh huh, zeroing in on tentacles and feet. In all seriousness, very good breakdown of the trailer, and now you've got me thinking more as well. Though as for the old live-action movies, I'd argue the third was different enough from the first two. No lazy storytelling with an Autobot doing an exposition dump in the middle, instead requiring the human characters to do real detective work to figure out what's going on, plus some twists that hit hard and actually FEELING when an Autobot buys it. Never did see the following two, however.
I like the world building so far. They seem to pull from different sources, I even recognize some bits from Prime novels. Definitely more lore than some of the previous TF movies combined lol
I have a theory that decepticons before the events of the movie where like freedom fighters that got wiped out and idk but I hope they pull Lord Straxus

I think its alright. It's not G1 or Bayverse. It's something new and different. It's also nice to see the Quintessons too. The one thing i like about Transformers is that it can reboot itself. If i don't like the current series, i can just go back to another series and wait till the next reboot.
There will never be a movie that can rival the 86 movie. I don't think it's even possible to capture that same goofy ass energy. Plus, Hot Rod is my GOAT fr fr. So I'm HEAVILY biased.
@@Saturnlock I do absolutely love it, but when it comes to being a stand-alone film, it's not great. Since Peter is voicing Optimus in this, though, I hope Frank voices Megatron once he turns.
@@bowserbreaker2515 I don't think that was ever confirmed. I could be wrong though. Until today, I thought this was supposed to be a prequel. But apparently it's the start of a new trilogy. Again.
My pet peeve is that the main four's body types seem too close to each other. A more variety in the proportions would be welcomed. Like, look at Soundwave, he's mostly leg! That's cool!
While I think it's fair to say we definitely need more smaller children-related content. I see the same pass that was given to earthspark. And while the show is...fine, i still see earthspark wave 1 pegwarming everywhere. Are small children really the market segment that it used to be for transformers? Or are they already down the video game rabbit hole?
Yeah, I think this franchise is pretty much dead for kids and the adult fans are still keeping it afloat. I'm only interested in some of the future toy releases at this point and could care less about anything cinematically. At least we got the original animated movie and the Bumblebee one so they weren't all turds.
I'm hoping for a toy line based on this movie, so we can get a GOOD Airachnid figure FINALLY. Also if we get one of those Vehicons I'm sticking my Shadow Striker's head on it so I can get a version of her that actually looks like her cartoon appearance.
yeah I'll admit this didn't do much good for me, the humour, tone & dialogue have made me not excited for this movie in the slightest right now and yes maybe it is just a not very good trailer but with the two main writers most notable thing being the 2nd Ant-Man movie i really doubt the movie will feel much different from this.
First off, I agree completely that Transformers needs this kind of tone shift. What we get in the trailer is a bit on the goofy side, but y'know what? I bet you could make a similar compilation from scenes from G-1 from before the first Transformers movie. G-1 had some outright silly stuff, but also mixed in some serious with it, and y'know what? It's still the best of the shows. I have some cautiousness to this movie, but also enough curiosity that I will see it. And if it is kid-friendly, then maybe it's something I could see with my niece.
Im surprised No one has said anything about Springer being in the Trailer, he is in the room that Bumble Bee "Cut" into and then was threatened by Bee LOL
I absolutely want to see this movie! And I want to state that I am also a big fan of the "Movieverse" Transformers, they may not be perfect, but what franchise ever is? Mind blown, simple as that. The thing is, I think most Transformers fans are trying to to make the movies how THEY want it to be instead of just enjoying them for what they are. The Movieverse is NOT G1, stop trying to make it as if it was. Nobody in the 80's though that this franchise would last 40 years! So I will still go see the movie when it comes out. And be warned, for the next movie, expect to see humans, OK? Anyway, we'll see.
A couple things here. Quintessons as the threat or villain would be brilliant. I never liked the idea that they actually created the Transformers, I think they probably conquered the planet in order to build the robots we see in that G1 episode. Second, yeah, the Bayformers movies kind of remind me of those five-part miniseries they did for TF and GI Joe. Always a race between good and evil to obtain some Macguffin.
Things I liked: No more ugly Bayverse designs! I can actually tell who the characters are suppose to be! It's a pre-War story which is something we've gotten hints at before but have never actually seen. I've been wanting to see a younger Megatron for so long now and it's finally happening with this movie. Entirely set on Cybertron which is something else that doesn't happen too often. It's interesting seeing what life on Cybertron is like. It's actually pretty funny. Things I didn't like: That they're starting off the movie with no T-Cogs. I always think it's kind of dumb when Transformers can't Transform and they should just have their T-Cogs already. The voices aren't really working for me. Bumblebee and Elita-One are fine but mainly Optimus and Megatron seems wrong. To be fair Earthspark Megatron is also not what I was expecting but that's still a good series. Animated Optimus Prime not the voice I expected, especially weird when you realize it's David Kaye in that series and he was Megatron for 5 series before he was Optimus. It just feals even weirder cause they're celebrity actors and not really voice actors. I don't want to hear Chris Hemsworth or whoever, I want to hear Optimus Prime! It feels like they're using some tropes from a lot of other origin movies and I just don't feel like it works in a Transformers movie. Over all... first time I've actually been excided to see a Transformers movie since the disapointment that the 2007 movie kicked off.
A big thing in this movie is that optimus prime doesn't exist yet.he's Orion pax when he gets the matrix he becomes optimus and then he's going to get the voice change.by the Peter Cullen is going to be voicing him when he becomes prime.
I don't think its really fair to say "not gritty and dark = kids". I have no doubt in my mind that's why this movie has a lighter tone cause "not dark = kids" is what idiot suits think, but as someone older than 18 I still love light hearted movies and shows, and you can have movies that aren't super gritty and dark and still have it be targeted towards adults.
I still find it ironic that in Japan, animation is pretty much geared at teens and adults with its darker or more mature content and even kids can watch it without this notion that they are going to be traumatized but in the US it's considered mainly for kid- or family-oriented content. To me, this movie is just Hasbro playing it safe by doing it in CG for kids because it worked for Super Mario. Hopefully it will appeal to their target audience but I don't feel I need to watch it as a fan of the franchise. It's just not what I was expecting.
Since they can’t transform at the beginning, something I think would be a cool reference, if one of the characters gets a nickname and gets called an action master
I'm glad this animated transformers movie have no humans characters so we can actual focus on the transformers themselves. also I just realize this movie is releasing the same day as DreamWorks the wild robot so will have to wait and see which animated movie about robots does well.
The look of the film is refreshing. The jokes are cringe, but maybe they're just limiting the trailer to the "funny" bits to not give away the bigger chunk of the story. It's weird how most of the criticisms I saw were: "Ew. It's a kid's movie", as if Transformers were supposed to be exclusive for adults. Lmao
Someone else, Commodin Cam or Mr Normal Person, theorised that the Decepticon face D-16 is looking at is actually the corpse of Megatronus/The Fallen. Other shots in Trion's cave show bodies everywhere and these could be the other Primes. A winged one is seen which could be Onyx. Back to the person's theory though; D16 is a big fan of Megatronus, so has his emblem on his shoulder. But finding his hero dead emotionally crushes him.
It's also funny that everyone hates the mouth stuff, yet that's how they were designed. I SWARE y'all have personal rules you think this franchise should live by. But they're all contradictory opinions
The 80's cartoon its explain it . The anime . Bruticus became active for the first time during a battle between Starscream's rogue Decepticon brigade and Megatron's forces. Anticipating Megatron's expected moves, he waited for his former leader to order the Constructicons to merge into Devastator. It use transformation cons Wat is stolen on cybertron And use to make bruticus.
I'm so glad it's not just "waaaaaaar ... For miiiiillions of years".

There’s three things I want to say:
1) 17:00 I’m willing to bet that D-16 is looking at the Fallen
2)I bet the Quintessons are what made cybertronians fear organics (as a nod to TFA)
3) the wildlife on the surface might be Maximals and possibly Predacons (if this movie is its own thing rather than a part of any previous movie or series)
I don’t know how to feel. It seems to be adapting The Covenant Of Primus, but there’s so much that’s weird about it, but there’s obvious evidence of Transformers Prime being heavily related to this film. It’s just… interesting.
i'm really happy they're going in a different direction with a transformers movie for once
the _figuring out how to transform_ gag is definitely the only part of the trailer where I laughed
genuinely, I'm all for humor in transformers media, but there's gotta be better jokes in this than "badassatron"
I loved it. I was shocked on the first watch but after the second watch I love it!! It looks so fun!!
I wouldn't judge it by a trailer, because _as TJ points out,_ trailers tend to frontload all the dumb jokes.
😂
That's kind of my biggest problem. It doesn't feel like a Transformers story. It feels like they took a pre-existing script and reworked it with references and quirky humor. And given how many adaptations have done that these days I'd like to see evidence otherwise. There are good things about it and Transformers for kids should be the norm instead of a surprise but I have my issues with it that would need a full article to go over the positives and negatives.
Yeah, that's my main issue with this. It doesn't feel like Transformers AT ALL.
@@SpaceManRD fair, this is only my first impression. I just don't think I'll be missing out if I don't see this movie.
It’s interesting that they are also pulling from the pros story, beast wars uprising with the cast system.

It’s a horned lion like his best design/his Titans Return toy.
I think this might be the first Transformers movie I will go see in a theater since I was 10, in 1986.
I think the Sentinel Prime government is playing the Dr. Breen role here, cooperating with the Quintesson to oppress other Cybertronians in exchange for his own ststus.
Most of the cassette bots were robotic animals. It's good to see others IMO. I'm excited for it
0 IQ: The tentacle creatures are the Quintessons
Infinite IQ: The tentacle creatures were all Octopunch because he’s the most overpowered villain in this franchise
Implying Octopunch wasn't actually a Quintesson the entire time. Think about it.
@@wingedswordslayer hmmmm how come we never see Octopunch and the Quintessons in the same room together hmmmmmmmmmm????
I am so happy to see this movie break away from the style, tone, and design of the prior movies and make something aimed at kids. These are toys! Let your child and inner child celebrate!
I can't imagine any kid l know wanting transformer toys...even if they like the movie. Kids just aren't that into toys anymore.
Thank you for this breakdown. You have completely turned me around on the trailer.
Fingers crossed we get a good Airachnid toy out of this movie.
It's not a kid's movie. It's a family friendly movie.
Dark Energon, Dezarus, and Airachnid.
Oh my!
Not to mention, All-terrain H-treader D-16!
Bumblebees g1 battle mask, A3 might be a nod to his titans return incarceration, megatron looks like his marvel comics color palette, prime looking vehicons, I am geeking!
Where is Dezarus?
He’s not here. Guy who gets grabbed by the Quintesson ghoulie is Sentinel Prime in a very Five Faces of Darkness U-Haul bot-inspired deco
@@EternityKingdomsHeadHoncho and as for the wings?
@@Saturnlock Blue that is interrogated, he has wings that are a match!
My only issue with the designs is they look like premium Fortnight skins.
(To clarify, this isn't personally pointed to TJOmega. It's to clarify what must be clarified for everyone with a negative view of ONE because of the trailer)
The notion that this movie is "for kids" and "It's going to be bad" is straight up WRONG.
1st off, we have the test screenings, which have stated his to be the best Transformers movie ever made, and a contender for Oscar for Best Animation;
2nd, they showed scenes at Cinemacon, specifically a discussion between D-16 and Orion and the full train chase we see in the trailer, that had a way more emphasis on serious drama and exciting action;
3rd, we already have multiple interviews from director Josh Cooley proving that he's a long-time fan, he knows all the lore inside-out, and that this film's emotional focus and core will be the tragic falling out between the main characters leading to the war;
4th, this movie is about the Golden Age, not the war. It's obvious that'll be more light-hearted than what we see on WoF games;
And 5th and most importantly, this is trailer for a big budget theatrical animated film!
Nah he looks nothing like him
apparently according to ign its sentinel
@@AussieGamer-jd6qd No it's not lol. Sentinels the blue and gold guy we see getting choked out by the Quintesson
I don’t understand the negativity. I enjoyed the light-hearted fun this trailer is. Also, I grew up with G1. I’m excited to watch this movie.
TJ overlooked some details on big blue.
Two silver ones and a gold one.
It's Dezarus, from Victory.
They brought back
Mega chicken
Isnt this suppose to be a trilogy? So...doesnt that mean this is like "Phantom Menace"?
@@MaverickMagnus Don't assume it'll be a trilogy until Paramount says so or not. That depends on how well this movie does in the box office.
Hyped to see the movie but it's gonna be so weird watching an entire film where Orion Pax/Optimus doesn't have a face plate.
Bee does get a battle mask so maybe still.
BB's personality is giving me TFA vibes. Looking forward to this movie.
If it's not a Quintesson it could also be Liege Maximo based on his G2 appearance.
I’ve seen people complain about the story and idk what the issue is, it’s something different from what we usually see Orion isn’t a clerk and megatron isn’t a gladiator and that’s good. If it followed the known aligned/IDW origins then the story would be a bit stale for fans who know that story as we’d know how it goes but TF One using a differing formula is good to see
I’d love to see this end up a trilogy where One is the pre/early war film, Two is somewhere mid war on earth with the decepticons being exiled from earth and cybertron at the end, the Three is a remix of the 86 film and I have ideas for this.
There would be the massive unicron side vs auto bot and decepticon cause the decepticons who fled would join the auto bots and we get the hot rod vs galvatron and turns into Rodimus the new leader and the transformers return to cybertron and make peace
Also the films vehicons use the prime design so we have movie verse Steve
Megatron's first look to me looks like his look with Black helmet when the Toy Commercials where first coming out before the Cartoon was out
Or like he looked in the Marvel comics
@@elrick44 the very first couple Transformers G1 toy Commercials Megatron had a black helmet . There was a 4 part mini series of comics that was based off their toy looks but some of the toys where changed at the last minute on some of the toys. That's how we got the Coneheads a toy miss up
@@havokan45 I get that, just pointing out that he also had the black helmet in the Marvel Comics
This feels like a Pixar or Dreamworks movie with the music and the style.
I like the world building so far. They seem to pull from different sources, I even recognize some bits from Prime novels. Definitely more lore than some of the previous TF movies combined lol
Hasbro wants that 80's g1 phenomena back again for the younger generation.
I have a theory that decepticons before the events of the movie where like freedom fighters that got wiped out and idk but I hope they pull Lord Straxus
man arachnid just looks stunning
also D-16 saying he wants to kill Orion is a funny foreshadowing.
We need to see tj's live reaction to the trailer. We'll open up 2 windows, use 2 phones, sync the videos ourselves but we need your live reaction to seeing that for the first time.😅
I honestly expected a dreary War for Cybertron and I was pleasently surprised it looks FUN!
14:44 That is Darkwing.
I think its alright. It's not G1 or Bayverse. It's something new and different. It's also nice to see the Quintessons too.
The one thing i like about Transformers is that it can reboot itself. If i don't like the current series, i can just go back to another series and wait till the next reboot.
Let me put this in perspective
It can’t be worse than the last knight or rotf
Hoping this movie turns out well.
I like the idea of cybertronian animal life. Makes the planet seem a bit more natural, for lack of a better term.
I have faith this could be the best Transformers movie. Probably not as good as the 1986 movie, but still very good.

I'm thrilled it's not bayverse garbage but this trailer did nothing for me. I hope it's not goofy like this for the whole movie.
What exactly is "Bayverse Garbage" to you? Cause for me, I prefer the designs of those first 3 films over creepy lips and noses.
Movie looks amazing i can’t wait.
I think it looks cool. Optimus’ mouth looks cursed as hell but I’m excited.
I swear that D-16’s alt mode is based off of the 3rd party monorcrat Megatank, also, that’s ancient autobot language, it’s on the wiki
But instead of "ugly" Bayverse Designs. Now it's creepy lips and noses!
Bruh I just realized that airachnid is a pun because it's the word air, and arachnids fused...
100% agree! Very well put.
Great video!
Nice break down
Since they can’t transform at the beginning, something I think would be a cool reference, if one of the characters gets a nickname and gets called an action master
That'd be hilarious
We shouldn't really say "this is a kids movie" it's the first trailer, look at spiderverse's first trailer, it also has such an tone
The seeker on the far left in the group shot behind Thundercracker is either Hot Link, Nightflight, Skystalker, I think.?
I'm glad this animated transformers movie have no humans characters so we can actual focus on the transformers themselves.
also I just realize this movie is releasing the same day as DreamWorks the wild robot so will have to wait and see which animated movie about robots does well.
Barbenheimer
My money is on The Wild Robot, although I’m certain I’ll enjoy the both of them
The maw has horns like Unicron... or maybe it's one of those giant drill worm from Dark of the Moon?
I’m excited to see the potential for Studio Series in the future because i really like a lot of these designs! We could get studio series vehicons 😍
I'm curious on Airachnid and Dezarus!
People don’t hate Transformers with mouths, they hate Transformers with realistic and human-like mouths
The 80's cartoon its explain it .
