I got Broodlord a month ago on the shop while having almost no Nid cards. He carried me from Bronze to Platinum on his own, without any other legendaries. Deffinitely THE craft of the faction!
Making the cards bigger when talking about then is a huge quality of life BJ I agree with all those unplayable cards I am still salty about the Darkened skies change, yes it can let you deal with scarabs now, but at the sacrifice of the 8 damage 4 energy combo with Neurotyrant... which was one of the only cheap high damage combo's that didn't require you to trade hits, if not THE only damage combo I will repeat my comment for the last time people talked about Toxic Entaglement, it should apply stun and debuff called Toxic, in which the unit affected is destroyed after one turn, this means that the unit can't attack and will die after one turn, but it will still be on the board, meaning that if it is a Vanguard it can still block attacks, if it has any kind of trigger like artifice it can still trigger artifice, or mob it will trigger mob, etc, and then after the turn ends, it dies A lot of those unplayable cards like Bestial Rage, Apex Predator, and Toxic Entaglement, are allegedly removal cards, but they fall at their job hard, since forever the only realistic removal the faction has had is the Venomthrope + Predatory Instincts combo, and that's just sad, which is why every now and then i insist on TE getting a rework Which bring me to Neurotrhope, a lot of the bad cards, are part of his kit, Norm Emisary, Maleceptor (should already deploy with his own shield), Winged Tyrant (should offer a comeback mechanic, since it is so last game), they all orbit around playing stratagems and triggering Synapse, but there's not a lot to do there, and Neuro himself is down there as one of the Warlords with the worst win-rate in the entire game, my proposal is to make him a synapse unit, and change Norm E so that it can only become cheaper after synapse is triggered by deployed units (but then Norm would still need a buff, maybe start in hand as an extra card, so that it doubles down as a deck thinning card), or give a way to have mana cheats for stratagems apart from Winged Tyrant doing it one time on the very late game Barbgaunt's blast should stack with his swarm, it is very odd that it doesn't feels like an oversight. I disagree with Harpy i think it is way more situational compared to Hivetyrant, at 7E with Swarmlord you are looking to end the game, with Tervymom you want to set up your big gaunts, and with Neuro you want more support for your synapses, this doesn't means that i think HT is 4 stars, but that i think Harpy is 3 stars Gargoyle really was a game changer, and i think that if Ravener could do damage regardless of units being in stealth he would be up there in S tier too (probably would need to reduce the damage to 1 or 2) I think Broodlord is the first legendary everyone should craft, specially because it will remain unchanged for a while, since Swarmlord is soaking up all the hate, and Ravenous Hunter has already been nerfed twice, so chances are they will go after Swarmlord and then they will try and nerf Broodlord (again, because he used to have better stats, but even with better stats, as long as it comes with stealth and being able to trigger synapse twice, it will remain a good card), i think for Broodlord to stop being S tier he would have to cost 7 Energy, don't have stealth, and even then, it would still fall on the top ranks of 3 stars
Great video. As a nid main my only contribution is to say it all depends on deck composition. Some of the cards he says that aren't good are staples in my terror deck. It all depends on your game plan. Nid invasion and spore mine have its place in a deck. Just all depends on the build. I cant tell you the amount of times I put down a node next to a spore and give it armor and health that gave me the tempo for the next turn. It's all situational and nids have amazing tools/options.

I've only been playing the game for a month or so so I haven't been able to put my hands on some of the rarer cards so it was very nice to see how well they do in comparison to the rest of the cards. Really wish nids had a more controlley kinda warlord to give the more expensive nid cards a place to shine, but i've been having a lot of fun playin' the combo-centric tervigon. Solid Content as always, BJ! Just me and my hot keys, but I bet if you hit control Z twice after you pull out a card, it would go right back to where you had it. My in-game name is “Vigilate” allied with Carcharadons Astra.
As a Dankler enjoyer I tend to just tap out at the start if they go second and it's Swarmlord. That's an uphill battle I never have time for, heh. My MMR takes a beating doing that but I'm just playing for fun, not rank these days.
REVERT DARK SKIES. BUFF/REWORK SWARMING MASSES TO -1 ENERGY COST OF UNITS DRAWN. REVERT/BUFF OVERWHELMING SWARM. BUFF RAVENER +1 DAMAGE TO STEALTH UNIT.
I’ve played many lists with Tervigon and I cannot support it being the top of two stars. And, I would recommend moving Bivore to three stars. When using the Zoan as a warlord he becomes a hard target to remove.
The top Tyranid player on ladder last season was Shrigma Male who posted a great top score using Tervigon. It's a difficult but powerful WL to navigate
@bjthebrave that's great I hope they will do a round of buff to all late units. BTW I would thinks Tyranids need even more incentives because they naturally have Swarm to make larger troops.

Barbgaunt's blast should stack with his swarm, it is very odd that it doesn't feels like an oversight.

Question BJ would you buff the late game bombs of Tyranids or it's to strong already?.
Yes I'd like to see that. Many Kate game units are bad in the game and it's only recently we've seen a bit of a change to this
