Not only do they release this, but devs from companies like Ubisoft and Bethesda legit argue with consumers on social media. Imagine this in any other industry, imagine getting food and when you complain, the staff tries to argue with you. Only on kichen nightmare.
I do not understand how this has been able to go on for so long. I wish game companies couldn't get away with this.. There should be a sort of system that punishes this type of product failure yet they sell it full price with extra levels of micro transactions.. We need a GAME REVOLUTION. I miss the days of gaming in the early 2000's. All the potential is there. All the capabilities are there. It's just very rare for things to work out well. Most game companies are not able to make decent quality games lately and nothing is happening to them to force them to change their behavior..
Just started out yesterday. I have a decent pc, hear about the bottle neck with the CPU and thought I would be fine having an i9-9900k CPU and a RTX 4080. Just arrived at the starting camp seemed fine but for some reason looking at certain directions gave me the dips in fps down to 26. Can't figure out why. Sometimes I would look into the woods and the frame would dip. Like wtf? There is no reason to frame dip and sometimes I would look into crowds and have a solid 60 fps. Don't understand wtf is going on.
Game Mechanics as a Service is coming. You will have to pay a monthly fee to walk lol. There is no incentive for them to release a polished game when they can hype up the graphics and lie about how well it works, turning players in to beta testers. More hype gets more pre-orders, which gets more VC money, whic gets more fantastical game trailers and more pre-orders and first day sales. In the past when you couldn't release updates this was never an option. The fact that people are willing to pre-order or pay full price for a beta means they will never stop. It's a tax on the impatient to pay full price. People are literally taxing themselves, It's a top tier scam.
Due to this years ago I decided to play older games I have not played yet, later on I player newer games, but still bought on sales. In the last decade the only game I bought day one was “a way out” and only because it was 25$ on release day. I do not see any reason to buy games full price. I have backlog large enough I always have games I can choose from. This is not gaming industry conditioned me, if the games were imo worth the asking price I would buy them, but I simply do not see a value, and most of the games get cheaper with time anyway.
Doesn't RE4 remake have MTs? Did people get upset about those? Honest question. Performance is the main issue for me. It sounds like easy fast travel wasn't part of the developers vision for the game, based on what you're saying, so it's not like the MTs are withholding an essential part of the experience. So long as I can ignore them easily and capcom doesn't put them in my face all the time. I will still buy and enjoy the game - once they fix performance, of course. I'm philosophically opposed to micro transactions but still want to support the developers and play the game. It must suck to spend all these years making a game only to have capcom dump MTs on it, then get review bombed on steam.
Nintendo, FromSoftware are the only big developers I play. Capcom needs to downsize, and just make a damn good Mega Man X sequel classic style, make it good. Make money.
I pre-order Nintendo games like Metroid Dread, Legend Of Zelda TotK, SMB Wonder & SM RPG. Nintendo does many goofy things, but the one the do well is the one all other AAA fails at: making a good and complete day 1 1p game. I'm one of the few who is fine with Metroid Prime⁴ being delayed, rather be delayed than released prematurely

I was never bigger fan of Bethesda's qotes. "Long live piracy"
Shoutout to fromsoftware, gotta be one of my favorite genders of all time
Genders?
I identify as fromsoft. So what?
I feel you man, disappointment one after another.
What drives me crazy are the critics. The PC version of the game is 90/100 on Metacritic. Absurd.
The 1st game had the same microtransactions before they merged all DLC's into dark arisen... Do your research first.
We found a Capcom bot.
Fast Travel is optional, not required to use it. Look at Zelda TotK, you are not required to use it, grab a horse or go on foot.

Pretty much the only games I play now are either Fromsoft games or games that are at least almost a decade old.
100% Older games like Skyrim + FS
When elden ring released, it had random fps drops. You didn't care.
