I like VW Golf IV a lot, it's driving is great and engine ok but room on backseat is so crappy like hell, no room for legs or head and don't even know how to sit there with 185cm length. Almera engines are million times reliable and doesn't need extra oil between changes and so on.
The Golf GTi of this era was a lame car in terms of performance and handling. This Almera was a better car, and that's before you talk about reliability.
We didn't, maybe that's why our car reviewers kept calling nissan boring despite the cars looking more interesting and nissan having more performance pedigree than vw. Their opinions seem to have changed after the GTR was released though

Totally agree. I have a bog standard model with a GA16 engine, no mags, and that handles well enough!

The N15 GTi was everywhere bad rated.. also in the magazines.. its so not true.. my N15 eats every golf for breakfast in every segment

is it just me or does that almera have some aftermarket lips in the rear? I have never seen that bottom lip on that car in finland
