If you're matured & experienced (...old) like me, you may think of the Peugeot 205 GTi or the possibly the Peugeot 106 GTi.
It's very likely you would think of the VW Golf GTi in one of its many forms, but I would bet a pretty penny that you would not consider this...
This is the Nissan Almera GTi: Japan's answer to the 90s hot hatchbacks rage!
This SR20 powered, peppy little throwback is often forgotten, even among petrolheads. So when Ryan contacted us asking to feature his very track focused example, we jumped at the opportunity!
This mod list on this thing is insane! Featuring Tomei 260 cams, a custom exhaust & an M Factory LSD (Limited Slip Differential) to name a few, so we were very excited to jump back in a fun, high revving naturally apsriated toy once again!

Never realised that the Almera came in a GTI spec but looks so much fun to drive and fair play to Nissan they do make fun cars when they put the effort into them (granted Ryan’s done a great job with the modifications too of course)
gosh i miss my old red gti, such a fun little rocket

Ryan is my son and fp the the boy he spends every scrap of money on this car and is very dedicated to it . Its his pride and joy .
You can see his passion for the car just by speaking to him, but the car speaks for itself!

Nice! This is fantastic. I had a mildy modded Primera GT. Same SR20DE. Best £500 I ever spent (to buy the car) Underrated engine in NA form. The Primeras had 150bhp, I don't know the Almeras had a bit less. But these Almera GTi's are even rarer than the Primera GT now. Those high lift cams sound awesome idling.
They asking €9000 for one with 200k km rn in the netherlands xd

I have had one red mk1....one silver mk2.... and one green mk2
It is well known that sr20de engines with the right mods (Jwt s4 cams fors street, c3 cams for race)paired with Ecu tuning, 4-1 headers with full exhaust and a cold air intake placed in the back of the front wheels) can give you from 195-205 normally aspirated hp. Furthermore, you can use the mighty neo vvl 2.0 with the N1 VVL cams and Ecu with intake exhaust which brings the car to 240-250 hp.
Tomei cams over JWT anyday, and VE engines 🙄 🤣🤣🤣 DE is king
@@NovaMad2010 tomei are 268 as jwt s4 for street. C3s are ...285 duration and ..0,526 lift! They just need springs and sprockets to work
@@georgealex8306 There reason the car has Tomei 260 not 268 is because I don't want loads of power up top or having to rev the thing to make it move

Got it’s big brother the primera GT got 4 none finished. What are the brakes he has? Just cause they were every other sentence was the brakes haha!
Wow, can't remember the last time I saw a Primera GT!
Very random, but the Primera takes me back to Gran Turismo 1 days!
I'll have to double check with him about the brakes, honestly they scared the hell out of me! Way too sensitive lol

The brakes are S14 calipers refered by Godspeed brakes and at the time paired with some EBC RPX pads and some Dixcel R34 GTT discs
The brake setup is for sale
