My XT 660R did 176 km/h 1 day after its 1000km service. Since then, I installed an Acropovic pipe, a PCV and DNA Air filter. 160 km/h is NOT the top speed of this bike.

That's higher than I'd run mine for extended periods of time. If you want to cruise at 140, get something like a Goldwing. The new one is actually kinda sleek looking.
Your gears are so long, when I shift from 4th to 5th gear at max rpms I'm doing maybe 115-120 km/h (you're at 145). Did you maybe put some other sprockets for longer gearing?
Bof, my Yamaha XT 600 E can take 180km/h at odometer, when i bought it and when it already had 50 000 or 60 000 km.... (full stock with K&N air filter + dyno jet kit and nothing else tuned.)

I also drove a 125cc, in my opinion this is a very good bike.
Get this bike its just great, i had only drove 50cc scooter before getting xt660x , and am 21

He's also shifting from 3rd to 4th at around 125, my 3rd is at max rpms at around 100
It could be because of the fact that the XTR's gearing is slightly longer than the XTX's.
