Hope it made sense! It's not meant to scare anyone away from freelance sites or pay-to-plays, but to make solid VO business decisions.

What up D , that is the first advice video I have watched feom start to finish. Pure knowledge brotha, thank you so much. I be seeing nothing but dollar signs and just jumping into ish 😄 thanks man . I know you finger probably hovered over tht damn delete button on fiverr for hours . I eventually want to be off, I have big dreams for now I'm making peanuts on there but I see it getting better I just reached level 1. I think it is my profile that needs work people are clicking and few are ordering but once they do they have been satisfied.

Maaan look, I think I hesitated to deactivate that account for DAYS. My wife and I spent a lot of time discussing it and ultimately made the choice to leave Fiverr. I will say that it lit a fire under my ass to get out there and level up, which I was able to do successfully. But it could've just as easily not worked out and I'd find myself right back where I started.
If you'd like me to take a look at your Fiverr profile, shoot me an email or DM on IG and I'll see if anything sticks out to me that you can improve.

Thank you for the tip and knowledge, I never thought about that that by being on Fiverr could affect your future by being a pro VO and booking high industry standard VO work or representation.😮

Hey Gary! To be clear, you being on Fiverr is not a career killer. It's just another platform to find work. That's it. Like I said in the video, there ARE some agents, casting directors, coaches, producers, etc. that will take issue with a talent being on these platforms. Hell, there are even some that balk at talent being on Voices dot com and Voice123. That should tell you everything you need to know about how extreme some folks can be in their opinions.
But until these folks start depositing rent/utility money into your bank account, their words are just that - words. Do what you want to do for YOUR business. I'm only trying to highlight potential consequences of certain actions.

Hello I found this channel recently and it has so much helpful information been trying to incorporate everything since im just starting out literally brand new i was thinking of going on fiverr but now that ive heard this its kinda scary 😅

Welcome to the VO industry ☺️ It's really a great career and the community is AMAZING for the most part. Don't let my video stop you from started to find work where you can; we all have to start somewhere. I would obviously keep what I explained about in-perpetuity usage in the front of your mind always. Like I tell folks all the time, when you're starting out, you have zero idea about where this VO thing is going to go for you. You could be the next star just as easily as you being an utter failure. But without taking that first step, it's meaningless, and everyone's first step looks different.
Let me know if you have any questions you'd like me to talk about about and if I have personal insight into them, I'll do my best to answer.
