On a summer weekend that isn't rainy it is absolutely mandatory, and even then expect to wait 20-30 minutes per ride for both Millie and Steve, which can get miserably boring especially without your phone if you're not with a partner or friends. However, Maverick can be marathoned like crazy with CP Fast Lane, because Fast Lane gets you to the front of the ride unlike the former two.
Hello I was watching your channel before I went to cedar point I wanted to know more about the fast lane and the day I went I bought the fast lane on a Saturday in the middle of July and it is a game changer
Thanks for posting these great vids. My buddies and I went on a Tuesday the last week of July and I was amazed how persistently long the lines were even at closing time. We used your advice of picking up our fast passes at Point Plaza and that saved us at least 45 minutes. We went on Steel Vengeance 3 times, Milennium twice, Magnum once, Gatekeeper twice (including a delay for vomit), Raptor and Rougarou once (where my buddy lost his phone in the water), Maverick once and Valravn 3 times. Fast Pass times for SV all lasted about 35 minutes except during our night ride which lasted longer due to vomit again. The dispatch teams on SV were on point and had everyone boarded and out the door by 30 seconds, which blew my mind. It was like a Chinese Fire Drill and the guy on the PA system sounded like a tobacco auctioneer. Get in, strap in and hang on. The best value I felt was on Valravn. We went on three times in a row with absolutely no wait in the Fast Pass Lane. The regular queue was well over an hour. My home park is technically Busch Gardens Williamsburg and usually about an hour or 2 before closing the ride lines thin out on weekdays so I was surprised to see the long lines even as late as 9:45pm.
agreed i think it’s a waste of money if you can just go whenever i like like 45 minutes away so it’s a bit of a drive but i still go whenever i want pretty much
I've been to CP many times, on weekdays, weekends, holidays, throughout every month of the year. I've concluded, that Fast Lane Plus is always worth it (for me). The caveat, is that not everyone uses effectively and/or for the same reasons. Everyone's perspective and expectation of what the Fast Lane system is versus what it isn't can be vastly different as well. If you're using it correctly and you understand how it works, I really can't think of a typical scenario (aside from a Power outage or severe thunderstorm where the whole park is closed down) where it wouldn't be 'worth it' in general terms.
Sometimes I think the price takes it out of the running for “worth it”. But I’ve gotten several good prices this year and people seem to be using it less (makes sense with the price fall). Last year, paying 250 dollars for it AND you still had long lines, made it much less worthwhile in my opinion. This year though, it seems to be shaking out really well to do a ton of rides without much wait and that’s very very nice.
No fanny packs? But, in order to follow along with ride times and locations and such with your phone, you have to at least have your phone with you. And if they expect you to buy food then you have a wallet on you of some kind... So where do you put your stuff? If they won't let you have a fanny pack then what do you do with your phone when you get on the ride (assuming you also don't have deep pockets that zip closed)?
You can take your phone and keys from out of your fanny pack, but you can't take the fanny pack into the line with you. @@notyournormalg1 Cedar point turned on the lights for dragster for the first time in august this whole season. so dragster was lit up with the rest of the other rides there’s also markings around the dragster launch! the next time you go you should check it out

They turned TTD lights on Monday Night and now utilities have been marked around the queue, AND behind the track on the brake run, the utility markings indicate building/digging of some sort happening. Very exciting

I'm going to Cedar Point on Monday to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Do you think I should purchase my fast lane online before I get there or just wait until I check in?
I guess, to me, it depends on how busy the park is. I do think that most week days have less need for fast lane, but most weekends need them more. I guess it depends on what you want to do. I would recommend getting there at 10 and riding a few rides before deciding (you can buy them at almost any permanent merchandise store then. That also means, you won’t get to use your FLP if you decide to get one though. But then you can see if the park is gonna be really busy before you decide to get the fast lane band.

Not the same. I've made them for week days and weekends. If they continue to be as popular as they are though, I would be willing to make this video every week for the rest of my life. (that's not gonna happen, Id just be willing to do it)

It depends on the ride, 15 miles is for millennium but something like mine ride is 5 miles.
