Recovery was completed a few days back but I wouldn't expect a report for the next 6 months, it usually takes that long. The conspiracy theories highlighted how little the average person seems to know about fighters or aviation in general...

The -C model looks so strange with its proportions.
Wingspan larger than F-22, but on a stubby, short body, especially in the pass from @3:17 to @3:36

The F35C's wingspan is 43ft while the F22 is 44.5 ft, so it s not bigger. Also the F35C is 51 ft long while the F22 is 62 feet long, the F22 still dwarfs even the F35C.

@@MetaliCanuck exactly my point the F-35C wingspan is nearly identical to that of the F-22 , and is much larger when comparing ratio of wingspan to overall length….not to mention the large stabilators

There's a lot of hate out there for this aircraft and a bit of it is justified. However, there can be no disrespecting the fact that a single fighter jet engine producing 43,000 pounds of afterburning (wet) thrust is nothing short of phenomenal. The mighty F-14D Tomcat model, the last upgraded version, had a pair of 27,000 pounders. For the USAF, the venerable P&W F100 powerplant used in the latest block F-15 and F-16 models maxes out at 29,000 pounds of wet thrust. I remember in the early days of the USAF -A model of this aircraft causing all kinds of complaints from residents around Eglin AFB in the northwest panhandle of Florida back in the '00s during flight tests. They said it was much louder than the F-15s and F-16s that regularly flew around there.
