Great to meet you in front of your airplane (thanks for including me at the end of this video! cool). Congratulations on having it featured. That's a big accomplishment. Thanks for how you encourage others towards aviation!
Watch and listen to the replay. The Cirrus was having trouble staying behind a much slower Thorp T-18, broke out on their own, then tried to rejoin from the southeast, all inside Ripon. It bunched several planes up and they all got turned out to 270 with your Cirrus buddy getting a special admonishment for trying to sneak (back) in. Them cutting you off was on the rejoin to the conga line after all that.
I did a little research, appears to be a fairly low, or VERY LOW time pilot based on the plane owner. The few GA planes I have been in, an SR22 seems like maybe a bit too much plane for an inexperienced pilot in FISK arrival. Based on registration transfer, and airman certification issue date it seems like significant inexpexperience with that aircraft (and GA as a whole), and probably OVER confidence, or complacency.
That is why you Land refresh and review the NOTAM prior to hitting FISK poop happens and these controllers dud a great job.. I flew up from Missouri years ago. How the place has grown
I can only imagine how this must feel for you. I've been a fan of the channel for a long time and seeing all the changes for 80991 and now she's sitting in Boeing Plaza for the week. It must be an amazing feeling, and a hard-earned one. Keep up the awesome work.
Excellent content as always! Was a pleasure getting to meet you, Chelsea and Chris on Tuesday. Thank you for taking time during the show to meet up with some of your fans! Safe travels home to all 3 of you and hope you can decompress a bit after the show!
Met Josh at Oshkosh. Super nice! Don't know how you could stand out in that hot sun, do the meet and greet, still humble and smiling all the way. Good luck to you and to Chelsea!
Josh, I recall finding you about 7 years ago which motivated me to get started on my aviation journey. Its quite an amazing site seeing where you are now! Congratulations to all your success! These are some of those good old days future you will be proud to look back upon.
Josh and Chelsea, great teamwork throughout - definitely helps to have a co-pilot. A go around and re-joining the conga line not at Fisk, but Endeavour would have been frustrating and had you looking at your fuel. I'm not a pilot (just an av geek from Australia), but that looks like task heavy landing. Looking forward to one day getting there to experience OshKosh.
My wife Cindy and I really enjoyed meeting you and Chelsea yesterday morning at the Garmin exhibit. You both are such professionals and true aviation enthusiasts! The airplane and avionics look fantastic! Hope this morning's thunderstorms (Wed) didn't cause any issues. Have a great show, we look forward to more AirVenture 2023 video clips in the near future.
Nice job! I just watched some of last year's approaches/landings in the crosswinds. Saw 80991 on the screen. I said, "there's Josh!" Congratulations on your achievements!
Excellent video, Josh & Chelsea! I definitely have to go to Oshkosh next year hopefully in my Cessna 172! 🎉 maybe I’ll see you there next year. 🤞 Wishing You Blue Skies & Tailwinds my friends! Caleb’s Aviation
Thanks for taking us on the journey landing at Oshkosh, while it stinks to have to go around, I'm glad it happened as it shows just how quickly things can change and to be prepared.
Nice cockpit resource management demo here, Josh & Co-Pilot!! I lived in Ripon for many years (close to the water tower, actually), and watched the arrivals to EAA overhead each year with interest. I wasn't a PP in those days... and now that I am, I have wondered if I should try to make the pilgrimage to EAA. But I've been leery of the extremely congested airspace, people butting in to the Arrivals line (apparently they haven't read a NOTAM since they passed their first checkrides!), and noting the number of "incidents" each year with/without fatalities, I have been hesitant. Your video this year is the capper for me... voluntarily flying into that high-risk environment is waaaay past a bunch of my personal minimums. I appreciate you doing so to create content and to put your delightful C-172 on display at Garmin (kudos on the upgrades) but I will NOT be flying in to KOSH during the EAA extravaganza. Ever.
Loved the CRM between to two of you. Especially like how Josh called out the instructions confirming with Chels what they were doing. Nothing you guys said was extraneous. Great Job!!
Congratulations on your parking Josh, it’s been a pleasure watching your journey. We met you and your Dad in a Mexican restaurant at OSH19. Such a different world we live in today.
It was great to meet you today (7/29) at Airventure (Top Grandpa). I love your TH-cam content and the way you describe your flying adventures without intimidating or overwhelming your viewers with "jargon" and technical content. I have referred your channel to many young people who aspire to become aviators as a great example of what aviation is all about, and that with motivation and education anyone can become a pilot and have a rich aviation life. Thank You for what you do either consciencely or sub-consciencely to to inspire individuals to achieve their dreams.
Great job on keeping your cool and rolling with the runway shutting down. Flown it a few times with help. No way would I do it alone. You need all the eyes outside. Thanks for sharing.
Josh, I really Love your plane, so well setup and such good clear views all around. You are both a super team! You've got to be excited!!!! Cheers, Rik Spector
I heard from 5:24 to 6:40 live from the flight line as we were tying down. Flat tire guy and then people getting dumped out over the lake back to "Fisk". We had our doubts about you guys getting worked in at Fisk, turns out that was right. I admire your patience getting sent on that second lap.
Fantastic! Got to display your airplane in the middle of everything. Your arrival brings back the nightmare I had during last year's arrival. I had to go back to Endeavor bridge THREE times before I got to land. I had to stop in Fond du Lac for more gas after the second attempt.
Maybe you know, maybe you don’t, but that pig on your panel is from a book called “Maybe” by Kobi Yamada. “You are the only you there ever has been or ever will be. You are unique. Just the odds of being here at this exact place and this exact time are so great and so rare that they will never happen again. ….. One this is for sure, you are here. And because you are here, anything is possible.”
Ha, I was listening to the radio while sitting on the flight line when that 170 ground looped which caused the flat tire (and delay getting runway open). interesting to see you were involved in that. Was a great week and was nice to meet the both of you.
outstanding Josh. I would not have been happy being turned away and having to find my way back through traffic all the way to the end of the line but yea good to have the fuel ya never know...... Got to ask, since it was last minute for you. Did you end up filling the slot that Mike Patey would have been in with Turbulence. He had a really scarry engine catastrophic failure. Not that you deserve any less. You earned that spot. Well done.
Wow! What a crazy, hectic approach and landing in Oshkosh!! You two work so well together. It must be awesome seeing your baby N991 on display at Boeing!! Congrats!!
Congratulations on your success. Met your dad at Oshkosh 2018 when you just made the switch to “Aviation 101”! I’ve been wondering how he is doing. Any chance for an update on him?
Great Video. The Canadian reg in the video is my buddy on his second go at the conga line, having gotten kicked out at fisk because someone decided that they should come up on the right and fly beside us as we got to Ripon. They kicked all 3 aircraft around. I made it on the second attempt, and my buddy made one more lap before landing. I was not really impressed with some of the flying that we witnessed ; aircraft flying overhead of us and dropping in front of someone ahead in the conga line well after endeavor bridge; aircraft flying right through the conga line, going where I do not know. It is the biggest aircraft gathering on the planet and what a super fun flight in and out this year. Be SAFE, read the NOTAM before you fly there and practice slow flight!
Another great video! And was that Stevie Triesenbergs Cessna 140A that you parked next to? My two favorite channels parked next to each other, how cool.
My wife and I rode with Josh on a golf cart from the S 40 to Garmin tent Thursday afternoon. Nice young man! Great job Josh, but that was nothing! On Thursday morning on the Fisk arrival we had to go back to Green Lake, then back to Puckaway, then all the way back to Endevor bridge...twice! Fifth time to Fisk was the charm, finally able to land 36!
80991 looked good in front of the booth Josh! Nice work! Hopefully she is none the worse for wear after the storms this year…thought my tent was going to take off! Cheers!
Hi Josh, I have a Lightspeed Zulu myself and soon need another (passenger) headset. Seeing that Chelsea is using a DC One which I also consider to purchase - is she happy with it? The DC One is rarely seen over here - most in my flying club are either team Bose or team Lightspeed. :-)
I would volunteer to go to fisk, watch the radar for tail numbers like N254RT there, and then send the cutters like them all the way back to the Endeavor Bridge to try it again.
That was a Tuff One… Good job.!! ✅
I see Stevie’s 1949 C-140A at Garmin 12:04 also. 😎👍👏🥳
Great to meet you in front of your airplane (thanks for including me at the end of this video! cool). Congratulations on having it featured. That's a big accomplishment. Thanks for how you encourage others towards aviation!

Very cool Josh. You’ve worked hard and this is a great achievement! Congratulations.
Good CRM. Good planning. This is why a copilot is invaluable.
I hope everyone who talks to N254RT's pilot this week shows him this video. Congrats, chief, you're famous!
reported him to the nearest FSDO
Someone spanks the pilot of N254RT in the hand for me. That was dangerous for doing what he did, and then report to FSDO
That is why you Land refresh and review the NOTAM prior to hitting FISK poop happens and these controllers dud a great job.. I flew up from Missouri years ago. How the place has grown

Good job Josh...I'm so happy for you and PROUD of young folks like you and Chelsea !! Wish I could be there to take it all in
Congratulations on having your plane on display at the Garmin tent ! It’s great to see a plan come together.
Josh, I recall finding you about 7 years ago which motivated me to get started on my aviation journey. Its quite an amazing site seeing where you are now! Congratulations to all your success! These are some of those good old days future you will be proud to look back upon.
Wow that arrival went 'south' really quick. Great flying you guys.

That's pretty dang cool. Congrats, you've done a great job with the channel and I'm glad to see you're rewarded for all your hard work.
You have worked hard to be where you are. Great job!!!
Excellent video, Josh & Chelsea!
I definitely have to go to Oshkosh next year hopefully in my Cessna 172! 🎉 maybe I’ll see you there next year. 🤞
Wishing You Blue Skies & Tailwinds my friends!

Congrats guys!! You are great team together. And I love your humility!! Have a great week!!
I remember meeting you guys out on the South 40 years ago, crazy to see where you have come! Congrats on everything.
Fantastic, Josh. What an experience - and at the Garmin site. Thanks for sharing. Excellent video
Thanks for taking us on the journey landing at Oshkosh, while it stinks to have to go around, I'm glad it happened as it shows just how quickly things can change and to be prepared.
Awesome job Josh. Been following your page since 2017 and you’ve come along way.
Thank you for your channel

What a journey it has been to get where you are. Congratulations. Very cool to see your plane at Boeing Plaza on Celebration Way! 🛩️🔥
I’ve been watching the videos for like the last 7-8 years and the quality is always amazing 🔥🛩️
Congrats on all your success. You should feel very proud.
Fellow pilot here, haven’t flown in years however. You help me keep my fantasy alive.
That was terrific. Many thanks. Concentration, dedication, execution. Lovely
Loved the CRM between to two of you. Especially like how Josh called out the instructions confirming with Chels what they were doing. Nothing you guys said was extraneous. Great Job!!
Congratulations Josh and Chels...You guys are amazing!!!
Congratulations on your parking Josh, it’s been a pleasure watching your journey. We met you and your Dad in a Mexican restaurant at OSH19. Such a different world we live in today.
Well deserved!!! It was great seeing the plane in person finally!!
It was great to meet you today (7/29) at Airventure (Top Grandpa). Flying to Oshkosh needs great planning and you guys did an amazing job. I loved the video. Superb job Josh. You have to be proud.
Great Job Chelsea and Josh… quite the project and great teamwork on the Fisk..
Kudos to both ATC and (co)pilots, impressive coördination. Great professionalism. A treat to watch.
Great job on keeping your cool and rolling with the runway shutting down. Flown it a few times with help. No way would I do it alone. You need all the eyes outside. Thanks for sharing.
Great work Sir. BTW, your co-pilot is a keeper. She did a great job too.
Actively keeping us sane while we fight for our lives in our tent during this storm. Thanks Josh and Chels!
We’re holding ours up too! 😂
Josh,
I really Love your plane, so well setup and such good clear views all around.
You are both a super team!
You've got to be excited!!!!
Cheers,
Rik Spector
Great arrival and landing. Congratulations on have your beautiful plane on display.
All the cool people are at Garmin, you…Stevie ! And yea…I bought one of the FIRST 101 caps !! Congrats man. Long journey for a fellow Texan.
I'm happy to see you in a special parking spot at Garmin. Have a wonderful week.
One of the best Oshkosh videos I have seen. Great job you two. I'm a pilot in training and this was very exciting/scary.
Congratulations Josh. You should be so proud of what you have achieved.
One year I will make it to Oshkosh but it´s a long way from Spain!
Fantastic! Got to display your airplane in the middle of everything. Your arrival brings back the nightmare I had during last year's arrival. I had to go back to Endeavor bridge THREE times before I got to land. I had to stop in Fond du Lac for more gas after the second attempt.
Just visited the Garmin tent and checked out N80991. Very nice!

Great seeing you guys again! Welcome back to the chaos that is Oshkosh!
Thanks for the vid. May I ask what the electronic checklist is you were using?
So great to see and enjoyed meeting you at the TH-camr video.
Very Happy for you, Josh! Awesome!
Nice arrival you guys. Great camera coverage as usual. Pristine. Have fun!
Incredible!!! So proud of you!

It was great seeing the updates to the plane at the Garmin booth.
Wow! What a crazy, hectic approach and landing in Oshkosh!! You two work so well together. It must be awesome seeing your baby N991 on display at Boeing!! Congrats!!
Congratulations Josh. You deserve it. Keep up the excellent work. Safe skies 🇺🇸🛩️
Enjoy watching your TH-cam videos. Saw your plane at the Garmin tent this past Saturday.
Congratulations on your success. Met your dad at Oshkosh 2018 when you just made the switch to “Aviation 101”! I’ve been wondering how he is doing. Any chance for an update on him?
Great video. Nice job guys!

Your airplane looks great in front of the Garmin tent, it was a pleasure to meet you guys this week!
Great video! Congratulations on parking at the Garmin tent!
Amazing work with the arrival! Hope I could make it to Osh in '24!
That is pretty cool Josh! Congratulations.
Congratulations on the well deserved recognition!
*CONGRATULATIONS, you two!*
This was enjoyable to watch! Congratulations Josh 👏
Nice job, Josh! You got twice the fun going into OSH than most get :-) Choice parking too!
Congratulations Josh!! Very cool!!!
Awesome video I’m heading up there on Thursday. Hope to see you.
My wife and I rode with Josh on a golf cart from the S 40 to Garmin tent Thursday afternoon. Nice young man! Great job Josh, but that was nothing! i love this arrival videos and i take my hat off to the air traffic controllers every year 🥰🥰🥰🥰
best wishes from germany for this great video again 👍
Great job and excellent work. Fantastic team work.
Congratulations you two!
I flew in there on a plane when I was 13, amazing event. So glad you posted this, as i will be back.
Great to see your plane and get to meet you for a moment as you were getting ready to move the plane off the display.
Nice job you 2 👍🏼
Handled that beautifully.
Very cool video, very cool to have your plane on display along with Stevie Triesenberg's Cessna 140......
Congratulations Josh !!!!!
So cool! Thanks for the video, hope you have a blast ☺️ I can't believe people cut in line, that's wild
Wow... amazing how one flat tire effects a whole lot of people.
Hectic = Content. I loved the edit, well done.
that's very cool. having your plane towed in. nice
80991 looked good in front of the booth Josh! Nice work! Hopefully she is none the worse for wear after the storms this year…thought my tent was going to take off! Cheers!
Impressive . . . Very Nice Josh . . . Bob . . . SF
Well Done Guys,... Thanks for the ride ';-)
We saw your Cessna! It was my first year going to the show, and it was really delightful.
Where in the NOTAM does it say you shouldn’t fly a standard base leg, rather directly to the approach threshold?
Very nice video so glad you 2 made it safe 👍🇺🇸😎
Hi Josh, I have a Lightspeed Zulu myself and soon need another (passenger) headset. Seeing that Chelsea is using a DC One which I also consider to purchase - is she happy with it? The DC One is rarely seen over here - most in my flying club are either team Bose or team Lightspeed. :-)
Seeing the dude from Airplane Academy at the end of the video was unexpected, but so perfect!
Saw the Cessna but missed ya! Was only there Saturday afternoon. Have a safe trip back bud!
I would volunteer to go to fisk, watch the radar for tail numbers like N254RT there, and then send the cutters like them all the way back to the Endeavor Bridge to try it again.
I like this business proposition. May I join you as the cofounder and assistant director of Petty Revenge Against Immature Pilots, LLC?
