Like this comment if you’re equally upset about the squids 🥺
My little babies 😢😢😢❤
I 100% would have bought at least one squid
You should make a mama kangaroo with a removable baby from her pocket!
I am glad you had a great first market,, I have been doing markets for 3 years and I have never hit the 500 dollar mark. Maybe I am in part of the world where people just don't like to spend alot on what I sell. Love your channel :)
Who knows! I think the combination of stall set up, positions and market uniqueness were the main factors for this result 🥰
This is so interesting. Thanks for the breakdown. I feel like markets are way too much work for me personally but I enjoy seeing other crocheters do markets. I think your craftsmanship is better than most plushie makers, so I'm not surprised you did very well ☺
Thank you 🥹 I appreciate the compliment and found it a lot of fun to give a good breakdown
I am so glad you did so well and giving you the supper cute turtle was so sweet
Nims was the best
Congratulations on a fantastic first market 🎉
Not always easy to price well. I make off loom beaded jewellery, some pieces take me 3 or 4 hrs or sometimes longer, I sell them for £20 -£25 each, just couldn't sell them for anymore. Not fair but that's how it is.😢
Thank you for sharing your experience! Really glad you had a great time. This also gives me more confidence on how I price my items, I definitely unvalue my work haha.
Markets are so fun!!
Wow, well done. So interesting x
Your so good at what you do. Placement seems to be so important. Where you are.... so important. I'm glad you had a good experience. 😊
omfg you're great!! great job on your first market yay!
Thank you so much!
I’m so happy to hear that you had a good market especially for it being your first one! :)
This was a good video and covered many things so I enjoyed listening. I liked hearing your thoughts on the whole experience and what you sold (good, bad, notable mentions).
Looking forward to your next video ❤️
Thank you! I wanted to be very intentional with everything I was sharing - I wasn’t sure about including the “not best sellers” part but but decided it was important for me for future markets aswell a who knows, the next one might have a completely different result!
so happy for you! My first table was last night and I had a similar experience to you with the mushie boys. And also cute food items? had SO much interest. lt's so much stress though doing these to try and prep enough stuff for it.
I think more cute food items would be great to add to my picnic theme :D like a little bunch of grapes or something!
found you less than 30 min ago just watched the first vid
was audibly excited to see the part two came out today!
Happy to provide 🎉
Music is clutch. I’m super proud of you
Thank you 🥹🥹
So proud of you on your first market. If you do want to do the white stands maybe instead of buying new ones you could maybe paint the ones you already have white. If he's up to it would love hear what tips your boyfriend with his background.
I've started doing light commissions for my plushies, they aren't the greatest quality because I've only been crocheting for a month or so. But I'm so excited to get money for my craft!
I love your microphone
Some insights on the tip jar as someone who does a lots of markets in the US: if you are providing a service/product that gets made there in the moment, then a tip jar is common. Food vendors, face painters, and balloon artists would likely have tip jars. If you are just selling items made prior to the market, a tip jar would be strange.
I too have been having a hard time selling the squids
YES! YOU DID IT, Z!!!!!!! So so so VERY happy for you!!! Congrats! And! Yay Animal Crossing - brilliant! I personally, would love to “meet” your bf and hear their take on things from that perspective, you know? If nothing else, perhaps you could get their thoughts offline and share here (or with us patrons! Lol). Congrats, again, Zac. So happy for you! Cheers! ☺️🧶🫶🏻 Lisa
He has so many thoughts and tips hahaha he was really inspired to do market consulting after this but I think it’d go down well with a few in-depth videos
So helpful Zac! I’m doing my first market next week, not selling plushies, but lots of hand made things. Your tips about the set up and stock rotation is great!
There was so much more to add but those were my main ones! I hope they help
@@crochetmezaddy I will let you know for sure!! I also loved your point about pricing, I think I’ve got to stop thinking about it being to expensive and price it for what I know it’s worth.
and you're definitely worth it :* @@tallfoxes
I'm so curious to know where the 15 cents came from 😂
Sounds like an amazing result! Which market were you at? Trying to find good Melbourne based markets, I'll be at the Yarra Valley Wool and Handicrafts Show in March 🥳
New Subbie, Great Job!
Smashed it, buddy! 🎉 See you in the clubs 😹
*does the wave*
You should try setting the lady bugs and snails in front of a mirror so the customer can see both sides.
Good idea! Someone mentioned putting them on a turntable so I'm so keen for that
How did you get the QR code for your picture
Squids are cute but could be just not its day, next market! I don’t see anything wrong with facing ladybug backwards. It’s the ladybug portion they need to see. Your reindeer were so cute, no wonder they sold out.
“Crochet person” 😂same!! Thanks for sharing your experience! Also- may or may not be here to listen to your beautiful accent 😊😊
I still don't know what to call myself buy "A very professional crochet artist" is what I had on my sign hahahah
Can you make pokemon and also be my TH-cam crochet bestie. Im a knitter
have you thought about putting a small angled mirror behind the ladybug plushie? That way people can see the back at the same time.
Good idea! Someone mentioned putting them on a turntable so I'm going to try that!
love the squids 😢
Me too 🥹
You should put the bunnies in overalls just an idea 😂
I'm shocked u were able to sell your beautiful creatues for so much. How did u manage to sell those very small creatures for your charm certainly helps. Great job.
I think it was due to multiple factors in all honesty! There was other crocheters there but I was the only one with plush yarn so I stood out a bit
Where was your market?
I am a crocheter, but I don't make toys. I would suggest making the forms more defined. Watching your first video, I would not have known what most of the items were except that you told us. Best wishes.
Way to kill it!!
Thank you for all your support ❤❤
shame about the elephant I loved him
I love him too - I'll fix up the tail and put it out for sale next time!
@@crochetmezaddy that's so good maby he will have someone to love him 👍🤣
I love your videos, but the music is nerve-racking.
My background music or the music I suggested to bring along hahaha
@@crochetmezaddy The background music, best wishes from Austria
I'll take the feedback on board!@@monikamonika3493
I am so shocked the little squids did not sell at all. I love them! I was going to buy the pattern to take to my first market in January.🥲 I am in South Florida. Let's see if I do better! I will let you know! Congratulations! I am so happy for you. ☺
Honestly I think you should still do it - there’s many factors that might have been a part of why they didn’t sell that will be different for your market!
It could be the colour too… a lot of people are just not orangey people … whereas it’s my fave colour, and I hate purple 😂)
The squids were so cute, i need to make them! 🥹 i feel like yes the prices are quite high BUT if you think about it you need to be paid for making the actual plushies but also all the prep work + the time you spent at the market.. it's a lot!
Good job 👏🎉
I was waiting to find out how you did!! Sad about the squids though….. Going to my third show in a few weeks and this helps! 🧶💚😺
Happy to help! And I’m glad I’ve got the results out now! There was a lot to analyse
