Art Journaling Tips for Self Compassion and Self Awareness | Three Circle Model

  • In this video, I share journaling tips for self-compassion and self-awareness inspired by the Three Circle Model of Compassion Focused Therapy by Paul Gilbert PhD. For me, I've found these mindfulness and compassion exercises (similar to self art therapy exercises) are simple art ideas for self-criticism and shame, and self-awareness.

    🎉Thank you - this looks amazing & I love what you did. May I ask if you have the option to watch the video without music? This is only a personal struggle, but I find it hard to focus on the words when there is a musical addition. Or perhaps a transcript? But it's lovely to hear your voice too!       Thanks so much for your kind words. At this time, I don't know of a way to listen to this without the music in the background. I'll try to keep this in mind as I'm adding music - to ensure it's turned down low if that helps. I often teach in my private classes without music and can definitely appreciate wanting to be walked through a process without the music, too! :)

    Shared this with a friend with PTSD who also has a couple of grandchildren with PTSD that have journals and a variety of mediums for this practice. I am going to dig out my color pencils today. Thank you!

    your ideas and advice are amazing, the only problem i have is hearing clearly what you are saying and have to keep going back, because of the distracting music, which at times is above your voice, thank you so much for your valuable advice and ideas
