Waning Moon is my new favorite weapon. I took down my pre release thanks to that card and a few other stand out blues. But dang waning moon is awesome. Iyslander is super fun to pilot and I’m excited for how diverse her builds are gonna be. Thanks for the video

I like the idea here but was hoping for an OTK that was reliably possible. Having an arsenal blocked while waiting for two more tomes hurts in blitz, even god drawing/pitch stacking so you can draw both the turn you arsenal one means you take everything your opponent has on the turn before pop off, otherwise you block with three cards holding tome until your second tome arrives meaning max block of 9 until it turns up so losing life each cycle.Starting at 18 it’s not likely you live that turn before pop off in a format as fast as blitz. In CC this is a cool tempo idea but not OTK or reliable enough. OTK only really works in Wizard if you can do it on an opponents turn because you don’t have to take an entire turn of damage to do it.

I dont think you can Isenhowl into nourishing emptiness because you can ice you emptness so the frostbites dont happen.
You can definitely isenhowl in to nourishing for the simple ability to follow nourishing with waning moon!
Love Ice Eternal it was me my games during pre release it was so good! Only had one and saw it every game 🤷🏼♂️
Hilarious! :) But just in case anyone is curious, you can pull off an OTK in Iyslander that deals more damage with fewer cards and resources.

@@DMArmada On their turn, after an attack, use Tunic resource to defend with Sigil of Permafrost. Show Ice card. After resolution, play blue Ice NAA from Arsenal triggering Iyslander's ability. After resolution of both, pitch blue into Storms Strider's. After resolution, play Ice Bolt (red) from hand + Metacarpus trigger + Iyslander trigger. Pitch final blue card from hand for Metacarpus and then Waning Moon after everything resolves. Imagine that the blue Ice NAA in arsenal is Arctic Incarceration. The opponent would receive 9 arcane damage and 9 Frostbites. 1 Frostbite from Arctic Incarceration (blue) from Arsenal, 2 Frostbites from Iyslander's ability since 2 Ice cards were played, and 6 Frostbites from the Arcane damage dealt by Ice Bolt (red) after Metacarpus. The opponent then takes 9 Arcane + 9 per Frost Hex. If there are two Frost Hexes, then the opponent takes 27 damage.
@@IanRiley915 it's funny that you mentioned this because I was doing the math for almost this exact combo using Freezing Point fused instead of the Bolt! I was working with an E-Pot in play to cover the resources needed and didn't factor in metacarpus, but it's nice to see the math work out with the 2 cost arcane cards as well! If you have the E-Pot and the fuse in for Freezing Point, you can push this to crazy levels as well!
@@DMArmada Freezing Point can be such a powerful card. We've also been working with Insidious Chill as a means to strip cards. If your opponent pitches one to play one. You have 2x Frost Hex, 1x E-Pot, and 1x Insidious Chill in play. Then you can in respond Arctic Incarceration (blue) from Arsenal to give 2x Frostbites. Then Tunic resource for Sigil showing Fuse triggering Insidious Chill to strip a card. Pop the E-Pot. Storm Strider's. Pitch for Freezing Point fused triggering Insidious Chill to strip their final card and Metacarpus. Pitch the final blue card for Metacarpus. Freezing Point deals 10 Arcane damage and creates 10 Frostbites. Then you Waning Moon for 3. The opponent has 12 Frostbites and takes 24 Arcane from Frost Hex for 37 Arcane damage in total. If the opponent AB2 the Freezing Point, they still take 31 Arcane damage. Part of what's great with Iyslander is that she's actually more resistant to AB than Kano. Even without Insidious Chill, most decks can only AB2 the Freezing Point, AB2 the Waning Moon, and then use floating resources to prevent 2 Arcane from Frost Hex. In that case, they would still take 27 damage.

Looks kind of complicated to get either combo off. Do you think this is feasible in what is bound to be a heavy ‘draconic aggro’ meta for the next few weeks?

I was trying to build this kind of deck in CC (the frost hex otk) and I basically ran into the trouble of it taking to long to set up and you really have to try to pitch stack while trying to control the onslaught of an enemy 4 card hand. Controlling the opponent was by far the hardest part of deck since they always seem to be able to pitch enough to deal with the frostbite and deal a reasonable enough amount of damage to the point where they still have the tempo. Also Prism I think can destroy a hex with her crown but I didn't look into it
Still testing though and trying to figure out how and when to play her cards
The Crown requires that the Aura be Illusionist. Thaw is currently the only way to get rid of Frost Hex once it's on the board.

If you're doing X=10 on Ice Eternal there is a very good chance you just lock them out of being able to Arcane Barrier anything - doesn't the first AB cost them 11 if they are sitting with 10 frostbites? Unless they've got a blue-heavy hand, they're just eating all of it.
Where should I find the decklist?
not sure how much consistent u can proc this OTK though.
I'd say 50% of the time, it works every time!
@@DMArmada how about you draw that much card in your turn put ice eternal in arsenal and when opponents attack you dereact with sigil of permafrost and use ice eternal with pitch everything to make more frostbite and kill it with hrosttax? though they will not attack on it for sure but still good tactic, no?

I mean TECHNICALLY the Frost Hex can be removed... with Thaw, so they do have to be a Draconic hero but still lol

I mean, activating Waning Moon is pretty good!
I think if you use it in combination with the specialization it can potentially provide more value. If you had an uneven amount of extra blues you could play it and then fuse ice eternal to get an extra frostbite that then still counts towards the damage I’ve eternal deals.

What a disgusting set of combos! You can destroy Frost Hex with Scour and Thaw btw. I don't believe there is anything else that can target your own auras in the game currently
Scour only works on 0 cost.
Thaw is the only card in the game that destroys it, I believe!
