    Dude, I really appreciate this type of video. Since I work M-F, but the office is about 1 hour away from my home, I watch most of your videos at work, under nearly constant supervision. These types of strategy assisting videos really help me understand the game, and character viability.
    Please keep them up!

    This breakdown was really well done. Nice job!! One thing to consider, Guardians might remove all their defense reactions when they face Dromai

    Very nice, more defense heavy than what I was trying with Dromai. I like having red Lead the Charge vs. Brute and Guardian matchups and have been trying a couple rupture effects out like Lava Burst and they seem okay. Grats on the sponsor.

    Dromai is my favorite fab character hands down, and I'm getting prepared for road to nationals; and this deck has really helped me. The only card I added, was Semblance, because I think it could be really good for going up against tanks like Brutes and Guardians. I put it in the sideboard though because it does cost three and its only really good against those classes but really effective if well done!

    In the smalllllll amount of testing I’ve done with my Dromai deck - it seems that Guardians & Brutes could pop most every turn you attack - which makes me think running Timesnap Potion in the Sideboard might be a good idea.

    I'm bothered by the fact that an equipment like firescale furnace is more or less an absolute must for this character, and it being a legendary makes it really hard to get. This is why I prefer LCG's over TCG's.

    • @DMArmada
      @DMArmada  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, assuming that's the first turn of the game like I was I would think that it's more okay for my opponent to pop passing mirage early and so pitching it for late game seemed better to me, but if this is somewhere in the middle of the game I'm totally with you.

    I'm a huge fan of this list! I'm considering dropping an Energy Potion to trade for Footsteps, and also trying to find something I can reduce or drop to add in Burn Them All, just as a way to spend a few turns threatening a little extra damage.

    So, update: I played this at my local armory today. Got two games in due to lower turnout, one against Iyslander and one as a Dromai mirror. Iyslander was easy to take down and pay through Frostbites. The Dromai mirror, though...Lord have mercy, is that an absolutely INSUFFERABLE match. Since it was such a small turnout, we scrapped the usual 55 minute clock, and I just kept a timer on my phone to see how long our matches ran. The Iyslander match took about 30, 40 minutes, but I kid you not when I say that the Dromai mirror was a 2 and a half hour game of dragons hitting dragons, dragons getting popped....it was VERY unfun. And it doesn't read as any issue with this build AT ALL, but more of an issue with Dromai herself. Just...I did not care for the mirror, it literally convinced me to drop a couple hundred bucks on changing over to Fai before I left.

      @Thomas-td5zj 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Redwud3381 I've seen people run the Helio's Mitre on Dromai. The damage prevention effect is pretty underwhelming, but it has the advantage that it is a true instant effect, and not a replacement effect like the quell items. This means you can use it even if you aren't being attacked, you can just activate it and choose the opponent's weapon as the source to prevent damage from, at any time. (This even works on weapons without an attack value, like Dromai's sceptre or bows). So basicly, as an instant, you can pitch a bunch of red cards and create 2-4 ash out of nowhere, which might be a lifesaver in some situations. Although it is probably going to be most useful on turn 1.
      I still believe the blocking of the legendary helms is more useful mind you, but the ability to turn the mitre into a pile of ash at instant speed definitely makes it a good cheap alternative I think.

    I'm a newer player, only playing for almost 4 months, and recently been trying to build a Dromai deck.
    I'm very pissed off at the moment so I'll try not to be overly harsh.
    I don't like that if I pitch a red card to play my invocation that costs 1 (ex. Yendurai), I don't create an ash right away to invoke..
    This is not intuitive. It also makes her feel like she is damn near unplayable, though that could be my fault in how I built my deck.
    I also don't understand how dust from the golden plains works. A straight up playable ash? Does it linger on field like an item? How do I find out, because there is no where that says this draconic illusionist ACTION card sticks like an item or token or aura...
    Also, I'm questioning my flamescale furnace now, do I get the amount of red cards in my pitch zone converted into resource points before my pitch for its activation or after?
    It seems useless other than an auto filter to ash if it only produce 1 resource if there was one red in pitch and it won't count the pitched red that activated the furnace.. Did I word that weird?
    This game got very overwhelming, and Dromai went from a learning curve of 15 to like 85..
    And I can't seem to let it go, I want to correct this but damn has Dromai pissed me off
    Every game I played so far was a lie and it feels like ass.
