    Thanks for the video. Finally getting around to playing Dash and so far I’ve had mixed results. I was surprised when other aggro decks were able to fatigue me. I’m sure it’s a reps and experience thing and I’m excited to learn more about the hero.

    • @theactionpoint
      @theactionpoint  ปีที่แล้ว

      Heya, so because of the Boost mechanic you will run out of cards pretty quickly. Avoiding excessive use of the Foundry heart and blocking with weaker cards and using the pistol instead is how Sam usually avoids getting fatigued while presenting on or above rate damage. Keep up the practice and you'll get there!

    I can't count how many times I've used the action on viziertronic i to help fix my hand at the end of the game and get what i need to finish matches against arcane damage heavy match ups. I don't understand why it's constantly dismissed and told to be ignored. It's a powerful ability of used at the right time.

    Congrats on the win! Quick question: any tips or guide for mirror match?

    • @theactionpoint
      @theactionpoint  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The mirror is the other single matchup I intend to go more in-depth on in a standalone video. Like dromai, it's very useful to have prior knowledge of how the opponent has built their deck and decides to play. If your opponent is on the full-control build with lots of generics, you need to play the same way back, utilising high octane to get an edge on the opponent. If your opponent is also on a hybrid build, then it purely comes down to personal preference on how you prefer to do things. One common strategy is starting chamber and having purifiers in deck, while another is playing very aggressively starting Chamber and playing out Teklo Pounders, or even starting Teklo Pounder. Bear in mind that all of Dash's cards block for 3, so there is a good chance you will can get fatigued if you do not have at least one chamber. The matchup is often decided or heavily influence by sideboarding decision rather than gameplay decision, but also the matchup can sometimes just become "who draws the item turn 0". Essentially, best just to play in a way you prefer to play and hope for the best, as there is no "one" way to play the deck

    I'm a new player to Flesh and Blood and I'm looking into playing Dash. This was a very insightful deck breakdown. The overview display was a little blurry trying to see the cards on the table. And I would've liked it if you showed multiple cards zoomed in when you are talking about several cards at once. Like when you talked about a potentially bad hand, showing all for blown up across the bottom of the screen would have been helpful for a newer player like me who doesn't know the cards that well, and cannot really see the cards you were holding in your hand. The moving Dash image in the background was cool, but a little distracting when a card wasn't overlayed over her.
    P.S. That Full art Dash card looks sick

      Thanks for the feedback! We're just starting our content creation journey, so of course we're still working on improving things as we go.
      Thanks! Yeah I knew I was committing to Dash for a while, so I decided to take a plunge and buy a Marvel Dash. Certainly an expense but definitely worth it! It actually arrived the day I left to go to Auckland, so it was just in time to get signed by both Sam Yang (Full art side) and James White (Bordered side)

    What do you think of running one or two tome of fyndal? Thanks for the video helped me a lot!

    • @guardiangaming8790
      @guardiangaming8790 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi! Tome can be a good choice in Dash lists. The ceiling on it is nuts! However, my personal preference on playing Dash is to have zero inhibition on boosting. If you hit a tome on your foundry heart required resource to resolve a Maximum Velocity, it can be game-ending. In addition, having tome in your deck may encourage you to play less aggressively, to play around the possibility of a missed boost.
      As I've said, some of the cards in the deck purely come down to personal preference and your preferred way of playing the game. For me, this means no tome, however if you're willing to take that risk, go ahead!
      P.S. also the only 2-block in a deck full of 3-blocks feels bad

    Great video and congrats on the win! As another Dash player, I'm curious on your take of:
    1. Dromai - Do you go aggro or control? And how much aggro/control (what to side in/out, when to stop targeting Ashwings, etc)?
    2. Opponent reveals they're running Crown of Dominion. Does this change your approach to the game considering the answer from above question?

    • @theactionpoint
      @theactionpoint  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      I actually intend to go in-depth into this matchup in a standalone video. Dromai is in fact one of Dash's toughest matchups, partly because you can't really go all in on one strategy of either Aggro or control. You need to be aggressive to pressure their hand and deal with the board state, but you also can't boost so much that you run out of cards before depleting the Dromai's life total.
      That being said, my gameplan often changes depending on what I know of the player sitting opposite and, as you've stated, whether the opponent is running Crown of Dominion, or what I feel is a better indicator the opponent is going to be playing aggressively, Snapdragon Scalers.
      I always start Chamber into the matchup, then some number of other pistol items, and never run any generics. For a very controlling Dromai, all the pistol items is my go. For a hybrid build, I tend to start chamber, run only the purifiers in deck, cut to 60 cards, and aim to swing the game with a High Octane turn with multiple purifiers active. For a highly aggressive build (15 0 for 4 attack actions), I tend to just start chamber and race them down, dealing with dragons as needed.
      The matchup is very difficult, and I intend to go further into the intricacies in the video, but the things to bear in mind are:
      - Your deck is very much a resource in this matchup, you can only very rarely afford to use the Teklo Foundry Heart ability.
      - It is almost never correct to leave a dragon on the board for more than a turn (usually just a single ashwing is OK if you intend to deal with it the following turn
      - Combustible Courier triggers on a dragon, making it a power card in the matchup
      - If you have a turn where your 6-attacks aren't utilised effectively defensively, it is OK to play a throttle or even a Maximum Velocity. If not, it is also often correct to pitch it for lategame, or even much sooner if you use Spark of Genius.
      - You often cannot win without High Octane, so it is rarely correct to block with it. Again, like 6-attacks, prioritise arsenalling or pitching it over blocking so that it is still available to you.

    Thoughts on how this adjusts into Outsiders Azalea

    • @guardiangaming8790
      @guardiangaming8790 ปีที่แล้ว

      It's a tricky one to say at this time. Azalea is always going to run RitL, so playing control is often going to be a good option, to be able to block that out. However, if she becomes too aggro (like I find early riptide builds are becoming), I might decide to switch it up back to pure boost and race them. I'll have to do some testing before Baltimore!

    Is it ever correct to just play all 80 cards when first learning the control side of this deck?

    • @theactionpoint
      @theactionpoint  ปีที่แล้ว

      Playing a 60 card deck is the most consistent way to see the cards that you want. For the control plan, seeing the Induction Chambers, Plasma Purifiers or the Sparks of Genius to tutor the items out are the most important cards in the matchup. As the items are the gameplan in the control matchup, having the thinner deck will help you learn a bit faster as you'll see the items more consistently. This means you'll be able to enact the gameplan from an earlier point in the game instead of later when more life has already been lost.

    Why do you play Dash over any other hero? Curious if Dash has longevity that other heroes do not.

    • @guardiangaming8790
      @guardiangaming8790 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Just personal preference really! Steampunk is just super cool!
      In addition I feel that Hybrid Dash is a deck that is really good at flattening the matchup curve such that 95% of matchups range within the 40/60 - 60/40 range, meaning that the skill differential is what decides the match. Because of this, it encouraged me to learn to play the deck as optimally as possible, because I knew it could produce results if I gave it my all!
      Coming from my previous hero, Prism, whose matchup curve is considerably more varied (90-10 into guardian, 30-70 into runeblade) I felt I gave myself more agency, which appealed to me.

      Hi David! I've just updated the sideboard guides in the Fabrary decklist, so feel free to have a look over there! For Iyslander, this essentially involves the aggro package, but swapping one Maximum Velocity for a Chamber to start on the board (as well as equipping viziertronic model i)
