You learn a lot with these old bikes...I did...I have always been a car guy...Retirement gave me the time to self teach me, to fix and restore old dirt bikes...If you look at my channel you will see the projects I worked on...
Blinkers is such an American thing to call them it bkinks so blinkers. Here in the UK we call them indicators because they indicate which direction you intend to turn x
When I restored my 74 Honda Trail 70, with the 6 volt system...The battery acts as a voltage regulator in that if you run the bike without the correct battery the bikes charging system will blow all your 6v bulbs...
thanks for this great video,i do have a 1980 honda express 6 volt system and my tail light bulbs has a 1154 number on it,i was wondering if the connection would be identical if i buy the led bulbs?thank you
Good job mate I know how you must feel doing the wiring but at least you have a wiring diagram lol, when I was doing my Z1900 half the harness was missing so it took a long time to complete but when all done it was like factory😅👍all the best to you mate and love the videos cheers🍻👍🏍
Hello, very good us videos, especially I identify with your yamaha, I have a wr 400 enduro and watching your videos gives me the impression that it closely resembles the initial problem of your yamaha 450, kick and kick and does not start. Where can I get the manual for my motorcycle and where do you buy your spare parts? Thank you and here we follow you, great your channel ....
On my old Honda the middle position on the contact switch is off. Turn it counterclockwise to turn the ignition on, and clockwise for parking lights. Don't know whether the new switches are wired the same. Also, some US Hondas had front running lights. Maybe that's what the mysterious black wire is for?
Jeeze I can’t figure out how to wire this dam cm200 twin star 1980 motor. It’s in a cb 175 frame I have the harness from the cm200 and 6 bolt regulator help lol
You have the patience of a saint mate, great job getting the wiring sorted and on the series.
Well-done m8 you pulled it off 👏 keep em coming I think this is your place on u tube restore old bikes specially old enduro and they are very popular
Great job! I learn something every time I watch one of your videos.
Awesome, that's what it's all about!

Wiring tip: Cut bundles of wire like your rectifier at different lengths, so that you dont end up with a "bunch" when you put it all together
That's a good idea!

Great diagnostic work
I went through the same fun with my '76 XL175. LOL, wiring is super fun, especially when the previous owner hacked it up. LOL Good times!
Great job, doing similar on my recently acquired '76 MT250, was wondering how the neutral wire got connected, Thanks!
Wiring is horrible.
I feel your pain, brother...
😔
The bike looks great!
Bravo 👏 well done GG! Great video. It'll be difficult to top.
Nice long vid keep ‘em comin
Wish you would’ve posted before. I have a harness I’m not going to be using on my project
good job!

Amazing work dude!! I have definitely been there before lol wiring can really suck xD
Thanks dude! Yeah it's definitely my least favorite part lol.
Buddy, you should be doing all that work with battery power unplugged.
Yeah you're right, I didn't think of that. That would have saved me a few fuses haha.
@7:18 you can watch the fuse blow when he turns the key and says “nope nothing happen”. 😂
Haha I didn't see it 😂

Pretty sure the wiring harness is supposed to sit in the cable rest hooks on top of the oil tank. Good video!

awesome work dude, wiring is never fun, I'm certainly not looking forward to doing it myself on my bike.
Nice work, electrical is such a pain in the ass. Would think an older bike would be easier though.
Only a little bit easier lol.

Interesting. The mt250 isn't meant to have a 3 position switch though, that's why it kept blowing fuses.
That's awesome dude, well done! :D
