- Installing a Flowmaster 44 exhaust on a 2012 Silverado with a 90 amp Chicago Electric flux core mig welder.

When I used my harbor freight welder to fix up my exhaust, I spray painted the welds with high temperature black paint made for BBQ grills. They are sold at Walmart and I think Autozone has them too. The added protection will help the welds will last way longer without rusting or breaking.
That's a good idea, Thanks! We may get back under there and spray that on. Never hurts to have a little extra protection from rust.
Great idea!
Yeah it's good idea them welds always rust first.
really nice i have the same welder n also flow master muffler for my Honda
Awesome video I can do it my self shop is changing me 300 dlls just to weld me a x pipe
Thanks for the Video, Yall and that 90 amp Got it Done.. I was wanting to see if the Harbor Fright Welder could do Exhaust Pipe..
Yes, It got the job done, but our welds weren't pretty... lol. I thing we need more practice. It's still holding up good though!
Well that's what Counts it's still Holding Up.. And it Sounds Good...
Kids luck to have a dad that likes and wants to help. Go kid and dad
Thanks!
Hey DUIT DUDE, is that the Exhaust Kit that is on Ebay???
Yes, I got that kit on Ebay. I need to put a link for it below the video!
How do you weld the top portion of the exhaust pipe that close to the vehicle? I’m stuck
Hey, sorry about the delayed response, I was on vacation........ Yes, the top of the pipe is a bear to access and weld. We just did our best, and I think we may have missed a couple areas? But it's held great since we welded it.
@@ucanduitdude2317 awesome. Thank you for the vote of confidence. Did you put any muffler putty to seal it
@@SirGuidemere91 No muffler putty. It leaks just a bit. We were thinking about getting back under there to touch things up, but haven't yet.
did it still holding striong?
Yep, still holding strong. The welds aren't pretty, but no one sees them anyway.
Use a reciprocating saw next time
Very true, I should have. I didn't have a recip saw at the time, my old one crapped out. I did get a cordless one later on.
Much love thanks for the video !
