Came here to find out how to fix the caved in hazard light switch that disappeared into my dash after pressing it thanks for the great video time to tackle the job with your help
My hazard switch just pushed through the dash at 200,570 miles. I'll be replacing the switch because the flasher can't make up it's mind to flash slow or fast. But at least now I know how to remove the bezels and get to the switch. Thanks for making the video.
Thank you so much for this very informative video. The Hazard Switch fell backwards into the dashboard of my girlfriends 2004 Saturn Vue, and I had no idea on how to access it until I watched this video. We all sincerely appreciate your good work and very helpful advice. Take care and thank you again from all of us! Stay safe my friend!
Handy tip. Those screws that have to be removed starting at 2:30 and reinstalled at 9:00 in your video tend to drop out of your 7mm socket and disappear in the void below. It is impossible to stop them falling out unless you have fingers 10 inches long, but you can make it easy to catch them. Stuff the space below them with a small towel or T-shirt or rag and fill/block the void. The screws drop onto this and you can just pick them off with your fingers. Do this when removing and re-installing the screws.
Thanks, i got a sport utility with the j35 and the last owner spray painted both of these and looks awful lol so im gonna remove the paint and lightly sand them down and make em smooth
Thank you so much for posting. Ten years later it is still helping people. When I opened mine up it was already missing one screw then I dropped the other! Luckily I found it but the dash is pretty stable without any screws. I didn't need to unplug the window button trim piece, I just pulled it out of the way.
Dude, you ROCK. I need to replace the radio in my wife's VUE - and you also just fixed another problem. I had some work done, and the temperature switch has been screwed up for months - now I know why. Thanks!
Great video, thanks! Had to push hazard switch back into place and tape it in. Left all electrical connectors in place and saved even more time. You demystified the process. Saved me a trip to the dealer.
just bought a 2003 the hazard button is pushed in now i know how to take the dash apart thanks for taking the time to make the vid and explaining how to remove the clips
Thanks for the video. My switch is like starting the car, sometimes it works other times it doesn't. I knew it couldn't be that hard to fix but couldn't figure out how to get the dash cover off.
Thank you for doing this video because it is exactly what I need to do. I've been putting it off all summer but winter is coming on quick! My switch was intermittent (especially on the 4th fan speed) but now it's 100% non functional. I'll try cleaning it first like you mentioned. Instructional videos are one of the things that I love about TH-cam. I hate to think what a dealer would charge for doing this repair job so thanks again for showing us how to do it.
Great video....I skipped the disconnect stuff except one connector on the top and the fan switch, which I replaced. Seeing how to push the three clips while the unit was still attached helped me do it with less dis-assembly.
Thanks for taking the time to make the video. My hazard switch pushed through into the dash, so now I can't turn it on. I needed to know how to remove this part of the dash to fix it. Thanks!
Slipd through but u can pull it back through.. it wont mount like b4 but can still be used if pressed gentlt.. Had the same thing happen. But got it working again.. the tabs are broken but fits in designated tunnel.
Nice job! Thank you for taking the time to make this video and share it with all of us.. I need to start making videos like this to help pay-it-forward.. Now that Saturns are basically orphans, videos like this are very necessary to keep these vehicles on the road.
If replacing the blower resistor does not fix the 'No Blower Fan' symptom then check for a burned connection at multi-connector C200 which is located behind the left driver's side 'kick-panel' (removable by prying with a putty knife). The thick Orange wire that supplies 12 volts to the blower motor is routed through C200 & overheats over time creating an intermittent or 'open' connection. This turned out to be the problem with my 2003 4CYL VUE. You can search the Saturnalia website for more info
Thanks a bunch for this! I changed out the white bulbs for red LEDs to match the Pontiac Torrent cluster I put in my Vue, and also fixed my screwed up temp dial from the prev. owner at the same time!
Thanks for this, it helped a lot! How did our parents do anything without TH-cam?? I was unable to release the middle control knob for the longest time. Turned out something got fried and the plastic all got fused together.
Thanks! I also have a 2002 Vue, manual transmission. I want to have a friend see if there's wrong with the switch for the driver's side rear window, now I know how to pop it off. :)
What i would really like to see is how to replace the heat element in the seats and how to remove the door panel on a saturn vue. Can't find a vid that will show me those two things
@kyle51895 I just installed the Pontiac Torrent cluster and was thinking about changing the white bulbs for red LEDs as well. Could you tell me what size/type of LEDs and how many?
Thank You so much ! this video was exactly what I needed to see , VERY Helpful !!! We actually changed out a cd/radio but the video was great help ! Deanna Omaha Nebraska
hi I went to a technician to fix the compass handle that was checked in the lamp and no longer the steering unit The main counters work and stop during the driving command Saturn vue hybrid 2009 I have a problem with the compass control panel and the fuel counters do not work. What should I do? While driving the dashboard, the lights appear and then come back
There is a common bad wire connection problem with the Saturn Vue. Orange power wire in harness behind drivers left foot kick panel. The connector is the issue I think. Bypass it. There is a blower motor "resistor" that may also cause this issue.
I need to replace the Hazard switch on my Granddaughter’s car - this video is VERY helpful! Well done - thanks

Seems common. Mine just pushed through too. Did you ever figure out if it was because it was broken or just somehow loosened over time?
@@thetoysensei9951 my husband said it was from my super strength. I guess the clips just aged and couldn't handle the pressure and broke.
Great video
