- This is the SCR FightLite chambered in 223/556 nato. The ATF hates this gun for several reasons and in my option the ATF will be going after these types of guns next.

The ATF doesn't hate it because it's small or concealable, they hate it because it's a gun.
Its hated because its so ambiguous what it is, they must define it, and that definition will likely directly conflict with their other existing definitions, giving the citizen more "loopholes" to do things the ATF doesn't want us doing.

It's a "Blaster". . . I swear that might actually be the best way to describe it. We have been calling fictional weapons by this name that are similar for decades. Star Wars has a ton. This may fit that sudo-definition.

It needs a sling connection on the back of the grip. Then you could utilize the "pull against the sling" technique to stabilize shots like an AR "pistol".
This is easy the coolest gun i ever saw. Can picture this so well in a fictional action scenario.

That is an anti-mutiny/Anti-boader weapon. A captain's sidearm. All it needs is a bayonet, a binary trigger/3-round sear, and a basket hilt around the grip so you can easily parry melee weapons.

I'm curious as to what that scope and light set up is. I'm just now getting into guns and shooting. Also, home defense. There's so much to learn. Thank you for your time.
If I may offer my $0.02 advice. At 4:30 you mentioned it's difficult to maintain eye contact through the sight due to not having a shoulder point of contact. I've found some limited success in using a sling as an almost reverse shoulder stock, by driving the weapon forward against the sling's length and using the sling as a sort of cradle/harness to brace the weapon (Bear in mind it was on a different weapon, but the concept seems to hold true to stockless two handed weapons). Just food for thought!

You can shoulder that, with an attachment. The Pistol has an attachment that converts it into something like a Rifle, and granting it longer effective ranges, but technically it is still a pistol and when a Rifle can be loaded with Pistol rounds don't they call that a Carbine Rifle, so theser are weapons or 'firearms' that are hybrids or 'blended weapon systems'.
Carbine is short rifle, so yes… this is a carbine.

You mentioned carrying it on the leg. I've been messing with the Recover Tactical G7 holster that uses a rail adapter to hold the firearm. I just put one on my VZ61 and it's ridiculous, but pretty cool. Look into that for carrying it on-body.

Non reciprocating Side charging upper would fix this issue of the rear charging handle. I have the SCR rifles lower that I put a side charging upper. Works pretty good. Did not however like how the standard back up irons worked so I added irons from a CZ scorpion evo

The genius of this gun design is that it works around ATF classification.
The ATF is has no legal right to even be an agency, let alone strip us of our 2nd Amendment, piece by piece
Mossberg did it first with the Shockwave. This thing is basically an AR with a Shockwave bird's head grip lower.
As far as regulations they do not hate that weapon for the security companies that might buy it, law enforcement that might utilize it in some capacity such as a SWAT team, or of course, military use of this weapon. The ATF is solely regulating to 'civilian' use, but notice how for those who work for those who control the nation's institutions, there are no such limits or burden of defense of their capacity to be well armed.
When it hits my hand and 💰 hits the dealers hand it becomes "Mine"....ATF classification magically disappears...

Blunderbuss design
I was searching for someone else who thought blunderbuss, like in Looper, but it’s a 556 round not a shotgun.
I now have two of the SCR Raider pistols. Both are 300blkout one I kept in pistol form and the other I got the rifle stock and I can swap out my CMMG Dissent 5.56 or 300blkout uppers. Oh the CMMG 22lr's upper are awesome for these lowers.
I want to see a John Wick type comedy where all the guns used by our main character are cursed weapons like this!

I think it’s the indiscriminate mag dumping, and the sideways hold that creates the hate. They never seem to connect with their targets and tend to only get little children and grandmas.

@whitemountainman3872 ACTUALLY, Strike Industries makes a Triple Crown Compensator an OPPRESSOR that drastically reduces concussion, but keeps most of the benefits of a brake. If you couple that with a RADIAN RAPTOR ambidextrous charging handle, and you're ready to do work!!!!!

I always thought being called a rifle required it to be rifled with a 16" or longer barrel. Otherwise it's a carbine of some sort or another.
Seemed silly at first, but looks very practical for a short hike or camping. Price could be lower, maybe $750 instead of $1200

It is not transferred as "other" in that configuration. It is only trasnferred as "other" when it is just the lower receiver. If you purchase it complete, it is classified as a pistol.

Question could the FN 308 barrel be changed to the 3inch small arms barrel version with skin change to be a rail on top or underneath? Just a question out of curiosity.
I'd personally call that gun a carbine, or a compact rifle. Mostly because screw the ATF's definitions, they likely never used a gun irl.
You know what I'd also call it? A tacticool, mag-fed flintlock. A weapon to defend your home against thieves, robbers, murderers, and people who are more than willing to confiscate your other guns.
That includes that bolt-action you use to put food on the table, the glock you use to protect your car, the shotgun to get rid of large pests that want to steal your food, and the old but still reliable M60 you use to protect you and your loved ones during the war.
I absolutely love that style of grip. I unironically love anything that has even the slightest hint of Black Powder Aesthetic. As for how I think it should be fired: One-handed, arm fully extended, inline with you're shoulder while standing gun-arm facing the target. Like a flintlock.

It is a tool, it has a use outside of protection and defense, I would also say that just like other power tools, some safety classes and common sense are required to use it, and they also can be misused or treated as a toy and mishandled which can cause injury or death so tool is how I describe all guns

I would class this as a self defense weapon/home security weapon (with some adjustments). First rechamber for frangible ammo, so you don't punch through multiple walls and frag a neighbour. Lose the red dot sight, add a laser aiming device, this will improve firing from the hip. The torch is good for blinding any intruder, would also consider upping the lumens. This looks like an excellent weapon for any stand your ground state/location.
I'd honestly take this over any lever gun for bear defense.
When a brown bear is full charging you you need multiple follow up shot done fast, anything that requires extra steps will trip you up in a bear attack situation

CQB, slung muzzle down under left arm, inital 20 round mag, the sling is velcro meaning it is ripped loose by left hand right hand grabbing the pirate grip , the room hosed. Take momentary cover and stuff a 100 rnd mag and continue to carnage.
I like to imagine I'm at an interview with this guy and he just keeps pointing the guns at my face, and I am completely chill with it. 😂
So glad I snagged one two years ago before all the brace bs. Best upgrades I can recommend are an adjustable gas block and a viridian hs1. Looking at lightweight barrel/handguard combos really helps as well. JMac keymo and a Rex up front, hella fun

It's almost a tac-14/shockwave just chambered in 300/556. Pretty cool.
I could see that being used for home defense because of the ability to easily hip spray and something like that might come in handy in the case of multiple home invaders. Then again, most home invaders are gonna turn and run if they hear a shotgun load up and pump from somewhere in the home.
Most wouldn't step a foot into your house if they hear a large guard dog. Or just get a better security system and a guard dog. That is way more secure and a bigger deterrent than hoping you are awake so you can have them hear you load a weapon. Don't you see how impractical your fanatasy is to be "the hero". You don't hear a lot of people being invaded with a well trained guard dog.
@@dh891 - Don't yuck someone else's yum, even in the choice of home defense methods. You guys are lucky to even have options for that sort of thing. In my country, civilians could get six years behind bars for owning even an airsoft without a license, while crooks get to do whatever they wanted.
@@dh891 most people have day jobs and not enough time to care for a dog. But a camera and alarm will wake you up anyways. You should see how impractical it is for people to own a dog. Me and the 2k others that work at my workplace are not at home for sometimes 10 hours per day, which means no time to ethicaly care for a dog. With cameras you will always know where invaders enter and where they are currently located. But i guess without a guard dog you should just give up.

What you need is a lower wich has some sort of Ergo Pistolgrip, that totaly would fix the Isues. Than you could also fire it like a AK-74u that doesnt have a Stock or it being foldet.

I guess I gotta be that guy. This weapon is not equivalent to a standard AR-15 shooting 5.56. A standard 16 inch barrel is going to produce roughly 3000 fps and kinetic energy of 1090 Ft. lbs with a 55 grain bullet. This weapon appears to have about a 6 inch barrel, given you around 2040 fps and kinetic energy of 509 Ft. lbs. That is 2 completely different weapons.

It's the other way around. Fightlite is the company and SCR is the product. The pistol version is the SCR Raider.

Its also a pistol... Not an other. It transfers as a pistol, it's sold as a pistol. Unless he bought just the stripped lower, there's zero reason it would be transfered as an "other"...
Federally, as far as the ATF is concerned, this is just a goofy, less useful AR pistol, and they don't hate it any more than any other gun on the free market.

I shoot pistols one handed because it gets the sights further away from my eyes. That change in geometry offers my eyes a way better vantage point giving me an optical advantage in the alignment of my pistol's sights on the target. I get significant increases in accuracy from it.
AR version of the Shock Wave 12 gauge. To me, it's a hazardous compromise on the accuracy rifles and the rounds they fire call for.🤔
