I've been waiting so long for a general strategy/mechanics guide instead of all the map specific guides people are putting out, thank you so much, this is awesome!
Splitboxing is also very useful for moving a stationary enemy's attack range away from a prime operator spot, a notable example being moving the top caster to the right at the beginning of SK-4 so that Shaw can be placed on the left of the pillar next the caster.
There’s a method that I use that you probably will mention in some future video, but if you don’t know about it, it’s to activate manual skills after the operator does their attack, let’s say Shirayuki(she’s the easiest cuz her attack speed is slow). When the animation of her throwing out her shuriken when her second skill is available, you can use the skill, and the attack interval resets and she basically instantly attacks again. I tried it with a lot of different operators and it works on all of them(some with fast attack intervals you can’t see as much but if you turn your sound loud enough you can hear Exusiai attack again with her second skill), even healers can work, provided that they can attack. Hope you test it out and use it(yes it’s a little bit more of damage but who knows, you might actually need that small damage someday). Have a great day y’all
Perhaps alot of people already know about this, but I thought I would share this none the less: I often use a strategy what I call "wave partition". Using operators with 1-block, particarly fast-redeploys. When a wave of say 3 mobs spawn. Spawn, wait for 2 sec and then retreat. This allows some single block (or double block) guard to hold a lane which previously is not possible.
* look about the split zone * OMG It' AMAZING I'm so shocked omg xD thank you for that, I didn't notice that ! The "last sec retreat" is so good (I'm also using it with Plume) ! I haven't thought of CE-5, how you use Plume, makes her like a ninja lol .... "Delay strategy" SUMMONERS ?! I was waiting on when Mayer and Deepcolor can be useful ! Whaouw cancelling a boss skill... it's incredible and cool to know that thank you for the guide !!
Damn, good stuff! Learning more about these game mechanics has made me even more excited to continue playing Arknights. Liked and subscribed. Keep up with the good content!
I went from knowing only 1 or 2 of these to knowing them all because of CC. It's too bad I only found the video now. Thanks for the video, you make great content!
there's a lot more to the bait strat, like drone bombers, and some stages which enemies that targets last-deployed operator, but i get it, i guess it's for avoiding spoiler for some later maps
yeah... as a new player, I'd definitely say that having Manticore early really compensated my deficiency in dps operators. especially since I only had Hoshiguma to rely on tanking(pretty much only her until I hit lv50 or so *sigh*) which made a great duo for me(technically plus a random healer depending on the general enemy damage output of the stage but meh).
6:00 Can someone explain to me why Ch'en is placed at the bottom lane of Annihilation 3? I figured a pusher like Shaw or FEater is always better in that spot.
You can use really anyone there. I myself used Skadi there, and placed her in front of my Sniper instead, so she could tank the Arts Drones (my Sniper at bottom was Blue Poison, who's squish). Also, Ch'en's facing to the right here, but if you shift your middle lane operators forwards (a strat usually used with Liskarm) you can place Ch'en facing upwards and let her help the middle lane with her S2.
Even though this is an old comment I'm only answering because the reply does not answer the question. Chen has a talent that generates SP for some operators. Meteorite is one of them. Since her S1 is busted, using chen along with her would mean that she will generate SP for meteorite and help her spam her S1. Dreamy's favorite sniper is meteorite so to make her even more powerful he used chen.
Initial sp burst should be called hit and run actually. The technique takes advantage of the fact that the respawn time+initial sp to trigger silverash and eyja's s3 especially at m3 is lower than that of their colldown. So when you are familiar with the map, you can time the waves and drop these operators when necessary, then retreat them after their skills has ended to essentially get a shorter cooldown for their skills.
I was wondering why I had not seen you posting more guides after this game was released, even though this is the time when you could expect the most views... So here is the reason. Very nice. Edit: Btw, can we expect a supporter/specialist operators guide in the near future? Those are the two most interesting classes in the game, so I'm looking forward to it!
No. If you read skill descriptions, some skills has high initial SP which means they get that high sp amount upon deployment. This enables a reactive type of playstyle where you drop the unit, burst with their skill then retreat.
Arknight need more quality informative videos like these. I'm tired of seeing videos of streamers screaming at the camera when they tried to pull a 6* But knowing arknight players, they'll probably more interested to just blindly copy pasting a guide instead of trying to learn the game's mechanic and strategies

very helpful video, thanks! oh and that Ch'en skin looks so nice but I doubt global will get it :(
Wow watching this felt like I grew an extra brain cell! Thanks for sharing the strats with us, Dreamy!

Basically just cancelling recovery frames when you proc the skill so it skips straight to active frames
Yes pretty much, it works
It's good trick on meteorite
Angelina's S1 sorta does this automatically, not that I use it too much after getting her to E2
I use this with manticore, it's a very nice damage spike
Amiya: "Thank you, dokuta!"
My Heart: *implodes*
My Brain: I have gained wisdom.
this is way too informative to NOT earn my sub
We need more like this honestly
I'm a little proud of myself I actually did some of these before I saw this video. I still learned a lot. Thanks, Dreamy. ☺

Watching this at 3 am and sleepy af is a mistake. My brain is smoking now
Thank you for helping me get better at a game im spending to much money on, allowing me to justify spending more cause im doing so well. THANK YOU.
Damn, good stuff! Learning more about these game mechanics has made me even more excited to continue playing Arknights. Liked and subscribed. Keep up with the good content!
yes finally found the guide that i'm looking for
Wow. Cool strategies. Gonna try them when I get some units.
This helps a lot, because my strategy is panic and put even more operators to stop that one tank
thank you for making this vid
I went from knowing only 1 or 2 of these to knowing them all because of CC. It's too bad I only found the video now.

Thanks for advice ❤️

THE guide every player need. Thanks!
As always, thanks for your content Dreamy, very helpful!
Strategic Battle Record IRL
Oh So Basically we could cheese the reunion leaders with the splitbox...
*Noted*
Amazing guide as always

I need to review this. Yes I do.
it will take a while before i can use the strategy unconsciously
This really useful thank
Don't worry it's not spoilers if it's been meme'd to the death xd.
Now I wonder if Reunion really is an evil one and not us... Just look at 4-4, poor Crownslayer-chan. Some strategies we can use are positively evil.
"thank you dokuta!" killed me
Hello, can u explain more about the franka S2 at splitbox part?
Because Franka reduces her DEF to zero when buffed. Splitbox helps her survive.
I can't to waste my practice plans trying to pull off these strats and failing miserably because I'm about as useful as trickle-down economics.
Thanks for this
Manticore my favorite op, i more love manticore than any *6
I think skill 1 more useful than skill 2 because she is very slow hit.
I was wondering why I had not seen you posting more guides after this game was released, even though this is the time when you could expect the most views... So here is the reason.
Very nice.

Specialist/Supporter series will come soon.
Great video :)
Yeah, I really want to get Manticore so BAD~••!!!
She's amazing and cute and actually tank ranged bc 50 eva and 20 res+ decent def
And skill cancel with s2
Great!
Who's the future 4* operator similar to manticore?
yeahm at Lungmen annihilation
fighting avenger is really hard to deal it
Whoa!
did you summon for the new banner or you gonna skip it?
Just grabbed the guaranteeds and stopped pulling.
what is the mechanic of initial SP burst? do you get more sp when you first deploy your character?
No. If you read skill descriptions, some skills has high initial SP which means they get that high sp amount upon deployment. This enables a reactive type of playstyle where you drop the unit, burst with their skill then retreat.
@@LisaraScarlet I see. Thanks for the explanation
Thanks for the video
I wanted to ask as a new Eng server player
How do you cope with Sanity?
I feel like if I don't use OP, I can't play anymore lol
There's absolutely nothing you can do except spend plan tickets to try out some new operator combos or strategy.
How essential is it to have a fast deploy operator?
Currently I'm running 2 of each and don't know if having 2 defenders is worth.
They make some maps alot easier but not really that needed especially if you can just overpower the map.
Hey, i got manticore from the last guarantee 5* pull...
Frost Nova:"Ugghhhhh ! those annoying Otter keep coming and retreat-"
*Dies by the otter's explosion*
hai dreamy, can you give me your video of base building tricks on arknights? I have difficulty in finding your video. thx
Oh, I don't have one but usually if it's your first time to tackle a stage. You bring 2 of each class except support and specialist.
i love you!
uh, who is that operator with the huge banner?
You mean flag? Myrtle maybe?
@@LisaraScarlet Ah. She's not on EN yet, yeah?
i just watch this because i got manticore. no idea what zero block means
It means that enemies will walk past them instead of stopping to attack them, which really helps them survive while still fighting the enemy.
Is blue poison good?
Also texas
They're great
Both are very good.
I have one question why you have almost all the units in this game
I actually don't have a number of units like SilverAsh, Hellagur, Mostima, Indra, etc.
I will miss your streams :/

Wait amiya has 6 bars and ur amiya has 7 bars ha how did u had that much range
Reze op
Hey im from the future, whenever you cough i get nervous 😂🤭
"The bad quality is from the video itself" AHAHAH
Man text guides I hate it can you use voice over
