There’s indeed a very small minority that doesn’t categorise her as top tier due to her range, but those are the people who don’t bother to research properly about the game anyway. Dreamy is just using that as a buzz title due to how much negativity around various ops EN has had so far, it’d get more attraction when something is asked and justified on the spot haha
I was thinking she is bad when I got her, but as time to time, I learn how to use her range effectively with map that can positioned her to her advantage. I regret my first impresion of her...at first I'm even stupid enough to not realize her range can goes trough tile even if it was in between "wall",like dreamy's first half of video.
I picked up Arknights after my girlfriend showed me Ifrit. Finally just got her, and this video could not have been better timed. Thanks for the hard work, Dreamy! Love the content, and definitely looking forward to finally taking mine out for a spin.
Yessss my favorite operator Iffy! You've done her justice here! I kept reroling my account on the first day until I managed to get her from the banner at the beginning, the non-beginner banner but by that time day 2 had already rolled over lol. I don't regret spending that time at all, she's been carrying me from day 2 onward! My personal experience with her has truthfully skewed the way I look at maps in Arknights since I'll always be trying to find Ifrit spots to make the best use out of her, which brings me to my next point: The map design in AK has done a pretty damn good job at keeping Ifrit in mind in the maps we have so far, most of the time anyway. Grani's event was a joyful party in comparison since most of the maps there were extremely Iffy-compatible to wreak havoc but most of the time you'll have to finnangle a decent spot for her someway haha.
Your breakdown really helped me understand her S3 much more! The comparison of S2 and S3 was also very helpful, made it easier to choose which and when. Thanks!
Tbh when i first get her i thought she is not that good considering her range, i even thought gitano was better overall... But after practicing with SK stage for 1-2 days, after looking at stage's map my first thought was "where can i put ifrit?"
Thank you for making this guide, Ifrit seriously need more appreciation. She is one of my favorite operator and always take her with me. Her utility to debuff enemy defense is just too good imo. I really love the Rhine Lab Family Trio; Silence, Ifrit, Saria Good thing I finally complete the family in recent standard banner
she's great, just find her a choke point/spot where she can burn them continuously.. her only con that I could think of is you can't use her on every map where you can't utilize her range aside from that she's great on what she does which is melting enemies and people saying she's bad just wanted another all rounder OP unit like Ash or Eyja..
Just got Ifrit last night...at least I'm more happy now after watching this...no Saria but at least I got a nice AoE caster...which happened to be my only caster above 4* besides donkey. Thanks Dreamy!
That is me right there The moment i saw both her range and skill i immediately went "I MUST GET HER" in which i did when a "Top Operator" tag showed up on my recruitment list
Dayum. She's a hidden gem to us. At present, with the exception of Firewatch and Platinum, there's no other Operators that can hit enemies THAT far, let alone anyone within the range(and for real, we're talking about an AoE Caster here!). To the poster above me: I was one of those guys too, using Ifrit to roast that Big Bob lol 😂
I'm with you here. 5-Tiles attack range is what attracted my attention and contested with my desire of Exu when a Top Op tag was in my recruitment. Never regret getting her even if since then, I still don't have Exu.
I'd rather say that, the first time I got her (which was around 2 weeks after I first started the game), I didn't give her much attention due to her rather *unorthodox* range. That, combining with the fact that resources were scarce, I couldn't spare anything for her. Now, heh, she's one of the backbone of my roster and I'm saving up for her elite 2.
Ifrit Spooked me on Hellagur Banner. Glad. As I was aiming for Myrtle only. So happy. The ability to cheese 1/3 of maps feel so good with her.-Tears Of Joy.-
Good guide as always, im so close to e2ing my ifrit, her and lappland are my main arts damage dealers. plus her defense debuff is great with skadis m3, things just melt.
Ifrit is a BEAST when she is put into a map where she could use her linear attack to her advantage. Ngl like dreamy said,I too, have bad first impression when I first got her,but as time goes by,and I learn what kind of map and position that can work with Ifrit, she never dissapointing me with those performance. As always, thanks for the guide dreamy!
Ifrit sucks? No. That's just the first impression, what are skill description for when you don't read them. She can be a debuffer in E1 and DPS Caster in E2, but even in her E1 she can shine already. Even if she can only attack in a line, having even 1 tile as attack range is great. Positioning her near or far from defenders as long as she can hit enemies, she's excellent. She can be positioned away from enemies because of her range so it can also add as survivability. Her E1 can help Physical Damage Dealers because of the Defense Reduction Debuff, and also casters because of the Resistance Reduction Debuff from her talent. She's very beneficial in many ways. And as a 6 ★ operator, she really need some strategic positioning. She's one of the best casters out there. And she's the best Flammenwerfer out there.
I remember getting her through recruit, and didn't build her because I was starting, and had enough units to work on as is. Now I'm account lv. 66, and she helps me through Annihilation 3. She deserves her 6* status
People actually thought she sucks cause of the range...? .-. She works differently due to her targeting mechanic working differently since the enemy has to be in the specific tile she attacks in so you cant do targeting combos like displacement+splash (i.e Shaw + Lava) to hit enemies out of range but she still works as a unit pretty well :v
ifrit carried me through the game... she was my second 6 star (first hoshiguma) and i have used her everywhere... even in the hardest maps i found a place for her...
Ifrit was the second six star I ever got, and because of that, I've learned to use her in almost all maps. I was able to defeat Anni 3 because I E2 her and had a full team of E1 w/ a borrowed SA. That was not easy but I couldn't have done it as early as I did without her.
@@mordy2085wah my next project = Chen S2...M2 currently -> M3 next... hmmm specter, mine might be on the long queue but nice there, i c u are man of culture as well :D
My first thought in every map is "Where is the best spot to place Ifrit". She's just sooo good with the right setup. She made Annihalation 3 kinda easy honestly. I was strugling to complete Anni 3, got Ifrit while doing that and once I E2 Ifrit the map was a cakewalk.
I got Ifrit from that Ch'en Standard Banner on first pull and Nian on uhhhhh.... I don't remember anymore, but I can't believe people actually bad-mouthed Ifrit just cuz of her range like dude she makes an advantage to cover further distances than the standard AOE Caster archetype if you understand how to utilize her range and hell is it really fun..... Usually whenever I get a random 6* OP I always check their information before judging them and to my surprise seeing that Debuffs on her was insane I'm glad I'm building her now... And I'm trying to make her useful in all maps (if not most)
I like Ifrit a lot because she kinda enables me to brute force content with aoe guards with her tick damage and debuffs that turn aoe guards like Estelle into sustain God's as long as she never stops killing enemies.
Ifrit is what some of us veterans of Tower Defense game players called, powerful unit with some degree of difficulty many have hard time overcoming their flaws. Simply put, she takes more than just "plug n' play" and cheese a win. You're also taken into account to check the maps first, and plan ahead before jumping in(fella TDG players will know what I'm talking about). This is a strategy game, after all. Oh, they're right about Ifrit being a flamethrower(or if you like German, flammenwerfer). The device she's using is indeed just that; a flame-casting wand that uses concentrated liquid Originum as fuel, and one of the Rhine Lab's finest work(but also so dangerous, permissions is needed to experiment with it). One can read this in her Archive file after earning 100% Trust and above. Everything you want to know of the device(including the specs), it's all there. (Oh, I'm letting you in for a nice secret: Did you know that there's a ranged tile at the Vanguard and Supporter chip stages that actually overlooks the middle lane? Take Ifrit, place her there, and she'll roast those Wraiths within seconds.)
After playing around with her in different maps, I can say she's a bit of a luxury character. You don't need her, but man it's fun watching her decimate anything within that one line.
People think ifrit sucks but if you could just put her to a great spot then, he could par with Eyja and Silver ash, her burst is not like any other casters in the game, she can melt even the tankiest enemies like Bob as long as she has the spot, I've been an ifrit user, I must say, she really is reliable in clearing her favored lane, especially her 2nd skill at skill 4 or 7, but when she's maxed out, she could even clear a lane without blockers, all by herself.
Gotta admit that I havent been using Ifrit bcs I'm looking for spot where at least she can hit 3 tiles. Tho ppl here commented that even on just 1 tile she's a beast
I don't really dive into the numbers much but the Res and def reduction are more than enough to convince to invest in Ifrit. Her range is a bit weird compared to other casters but tbh this is a ttd game and you bet there will be some maps that have that just call for her.
Her S2 debuff and her Talent debuff incinerates anything. I paired her with apple pie, every sort of defense shreds with her S2 debuff even for a short period of time like damn. Pair her up with a battery, or an arts skill caster, she’ll be shredding maps even the inconvenient ones for her.
Since Ifrit was my first 6* my entire game has just been looking for that one tile that all the enemies have to cross and absolutely wrecking them with Ifrit. Seriously one tile is all she needs. That Skill 2 is maximum unethical, especially if you manage to chain it back to back with SP regen e.g. Ptilopsis, Liskarm, Saria, Warfarin. Metal Crabs have S level arts mitigation. E2 Ifrit with Skill 2, shreds them. Big Bob has S level HP. Shredded. Master Arts Drone. A tier arts mitigation and can't be blocked. Touch it once and it's dead.
The only reason you could bring for Ifrit being "bad" is that you need a different strategy if you use her. (if you want to copy strategies form others) But in most cases that strategy will lead to a better clear. She is in my all-stars team for quite some time now as the single caster and I don't remember when I last used another caster. (except supports sometimes)
Then that's simply not true. Many much more flexible strategies can clear stages better than Ifrit. Though it really does not matter, gameplay freedom is the name of the game.
With better i mean the follwing - You need less operators, you need less lvls on operators, you need less specific operators, you only need one instead of two AoE casters etc. And something that wasn't mentioned in the video. She is already powerful at E1
Just got top operator with Caster and AOE tags to pair up. Guess who's gonna join the squad? Yes, you're right, it was Shining. The shelf squad, that is. I am actually so mad for losing not one but two Ifrit tags right now, that I will not touch Shining with a ten foot pole, until I get a flaming daughter for my Silence.
The only thing i know why people hate ifrit because they dont have her XD I even use her in some 1 tile only and she burn them all. I remember when i testing sk-5 with no specialist, only one AoE caster between skyfire/gitano/ifrit. She solo them kekw

Great guide as always ! even tho i wasn't tempted to invest into Ifrit now i know at least how to use her in case i ever will use her
I picked up Arknights after my girlfriend showed me Ifrit.
My personal experience with her has truthfully skewed the way I look at maps in Arknights since I'll always be trying to find Ifrit spots to make the best use out of her, which brings me to my next point:
The map design in AK has done a pretty damn good job at keeping Ifrit in mind in the maps we have so far, most of the time anyway.
Thanks!
Such timing for this vid, I just got her yesterday from recruitment. Thanks a lot for the guide!
Rather convenient timing I just got her from a Top Op tag
Damn that tag exist?
Such a nice feeling, right? Seeing that tag. 😁
i’vd never even got a senior op tag
@@dittoford I got a goddamn nearl from that tag
Same
One of my favorite parts of Ifrit is her range and AOE attack
Ifrit is extremely good and deserves all the headpats and spiced peppers! Will be my next E2 promotion!
Tbh when i first get her i thought she is not that good considering her range, i even thought gitano was better overall... But after practicing with SK stage for 1-2 days, after looking at stage's map my first thought was "where can i put ifrit?"
The wall strategy

When I see a map the first thing I think of is ‘where can I but ifrit’

Me: is this map Ifrit-able?
True that my dude, it always the first thing that comes to my mind and i always search for a good place to do A kill Zone
amazing vid!! ifrit is my fav op, thank you for this :)
YAAAASSSSS remember i summoned her in recruit live in your stream !!! shes great but sometimes awkward to use !!
Who wouldn't want a straight LINE? Obviously I used her a lot cause of her AoE range attack, but she is overall the best angery brat of all.
Thank you for making this guide, Ifrit seriously need more appreciation. She is one of my favorite operator and always take her with me. Her utility to debuff enemy defense is just too good imo.
I really love the Rhine Lab Family Trio; Silence, Ifrit, Saria
Good thing I finally complete the family in recent standard banner
she's great, just find her a choke point/spot where she can burn them continuously.. her only con that I could think of is you can't use her on every map where you can't utilize her range aside from that she's great on what she does which is melting enemies and people saying she's bad just wanted another all rounder OP unit like Ash or Eyja..
so glad i got to recruit her using top operator+caster tags before frickin' mostima got added in the recruitment pool
Just got Ifrit from Magallan Banner..... and it is my 2nd 6 star operator~
subscribed. very informational vids, im a fan. keep it up mate
Thanks, you erased my doubts on getting her to e2
Don’t worry Ifrit will burn the haters with her stand
Just got Ifrit last night...at least I'm more happy now after watching this...no Saria but at least I got a nice AoE caster...which happened to be my only caster above 4* besides donkey. Thanks Dreamy!
Ifrit was my first e2, and definitely no regrets, she always shredded everything.
And then there are the people who looked at her range and went "Whoa, she can hit enemies 5 tiles away?!"
That is me right there
The moment i saw both her range and skill i immediately went "I MUST GET HER" in which i did when a "Top Operator" tag showed up on my recruitment list
Same here, also when I read her two talents and S2, I was like, FUCK I NEED HER.
It's definitely me.I was one of those who bullied big bob using her.
So happy.
The ability to cheese 1/3 of maps feel so good with her.-Tears Of Joy.-
very nice guide man. now I can use Ifrit to a better degree :D
Just the video I needed as I got her from my 10 summon
I got my Ifrit through top operator tag in recruit. Feels good man.
Some people talk about early video
While it's 11PM in my country
Good video btw, I done Ifrit E2 some days ago :)
After over a year playing, I just got her today.
She's so fun to use, now all i need is her summer skin
I remember getting her through recruit, and didn't build her because I was starting, and had enough units to work on as is.
Now I'm account lv. 66, and she helps me through Annihilation 3.
She deserves her 6* status
Glad I got her from recruitment
It was the Top operator + Debuff tag
Ifrit: "Art res? What was it again?"
People actually thought she sucks cause of the range...? .-.
She works differently due to her targeting mechanic working differently since the enemy has to be in the specific tile she attacks in so you cant do targeting combos like displacement+splash (i.e Shaw + Lava) to hit enemies out of range but she still works as a unit pretty well :v
ifrit carried me through the game... she was my second 6 star (first hoshiguma) and i have used her everywhere... even in the hardest maps i found a place for her...
it will be good if there is a support operator that can summon tile briefly, and make the strategy more diverse
ohh wow...this early from PH :) I believe we're in the same country
hmmmm... now I know what to do with my p6 iffy. thanks ;) been waiting for this.
nice video i just got her from a top optag.
I just have to say that your guides are the best with out them i would have made some rookie mistakes and your music taste i divine
Ifrit was the second six star I ever got, and because of that, I've learned to use her in almost all maps. I was able to defeat Anni 3 because I E2 her and had a full team of E1 w/ a borrowed SA. That was not easy but I couldn't have done it as early as I did without her.
my favorite and first operator which i up her lvl (E2 40) and M3 her skill 2
@@mordy2085wah my next project = Chen S2...M2 currently -> M3 next... hmmm specter, mine might be on the long queue but nice there, i c u are man of culture as well :D
The hardest part in using Ifrit? Obtainng her.
Im astonished that ppl get a bad impression of her because of her range
Big bruh moment
I just bought her from the shop. I can't wait to e2 her
My first thought in every map is "Where is the best spot to place Ifrit".
Even just one tile is enough so I can use her second skill + Exusiai skill 3
At max level with that -300 defense, it literally equates to 300 more damage per hit.
Indeed rapid hitters love her.
Apple Pie was my first 6*, now I want Ifrit for the meme strength.
Not that I didn't already for every other reason, but meme buff debuff brigade is an even better incentive.
What's the bgm when the actual spotlight starts at 0:20 ??
Seriously though, if you have Ifrit at E2 you'll pretty much destroy annihilation 3. She's a godsend for those of us without SilverAsh xD
After playing around with her in different maps, I can say she's a bit of a luxury character. You don't need her, but man it's fun watching her decimate anything within that one line.
I alway try to cross ifrit and executor's tiles for some insane DPS
Thanks Dreamy For Informing Me That Lappland Can Silence Those Pesky Slowing-Down Drones!
I love her in Annihilation. She can guard a complete line A2 and helps a lot in A3 with her range
Ifrit is the Starfruit of Arknights. Her range causes those who don't use her to dismiss her, but she carry your entire run with the right strategy.
Touch it once and it's dead.
i pulled 30 times but i got my 2nd Saria instead of Ifrit. then i got her from top operator + caster tags in recruitment.
The only reason you could bring for Ifrit being "bad" is that you need a different strategy if you use her. (if you want to copy strategies form others)
But in most cases that strategy will lead to a better clear.
She is in my all-stars team for quite some time now as the single caster and I don't remember when I last used another caster. (except supports sometimes)
What does a "better" clear even mean ?
@@shocopancakee7731 most of the time just faster clear time.
@@shocopancakee7731 That usually meant either being more efficient or quicker stage clearances, but I'm not sure what OP meant specifically either lol
Then that's simply not true. Many much more flexible strategies can clear stages better than Ifrit. Though it really does not matter, gameplay freedom is the name of the game.
With better i mean the follwing -
You need less operators, you need less lvls on operators, you need less specific operators, you only need one instead of two AoE casters etc.
And something that wasn't mentioned in the video.
She is already powerful at E1
Thanks for the guide.Turns out Im underleveled to survive pompeii at half life lol.
哇 让人眼前一亮 干货满满的好视频
Just got top operator with Caster and AOE tags to pair up. Guess who's gonna join the squad?
Yes, you're right, it was Shining. The shelf squad, that is.
I am actually so mad for losing not one but two Ifrit tags right now, that I will not touch Shining with a ten foot pole, until I get a flaming daughter for my Silence.
The only thing i know why people hate ifrit because they dont have her XD
I even use her in some 1 tile only and she burn them all.
I remember when i testing sk-5 with no specialist, only one AoE caster between skyfire/gitano/ifrit. She solo them kekw
she can also use "Clarent Blood Arthur" ! wait, wrong timeline.
When I first got her and saw her range, I thought "hurr hurr, this is going to be fun".
Are you all reading the subs? Man im watching the whole gameplay lol
With Warfarin, S3 is a Planetary weapon.
A bit out of topic,
Do you recommend getting Saria from the gold certificate shop?
Tbh I want to save up the certs for an operator I truly want but I don't want to regret not taking her either. Future hard contents of the game (Like CC event) looks terrifying to me.
More like, is she THAT necessary to clear the hardest contents of the game?
Not necessary but definitely recommended if you don't have her.
She is not necessary, she's way overhyped and overrated. Do you have Nearl? She is more than enough.
@@LisaraScarlet Yes I do have Nearl! Though I haven't raised her up yet because Spot is enough to fill the healing defender *spot* in my squad at the moment. Maybe I'll raise her up later
Thank you for answering! I'll keep holding on my gold certs for now 👌
@@LisaraScarlet can you make a break down video on saria? I'm using her but I do think people have way overhyped her and not giving other tanks enough credit.
