    Hello from Colorado! As I was getting hit in the eyes by snow today (mid May), I was really really wishing I was back in AZ, as I was last week finishing up my 2 week camping trip there. Yes....that was down in Tucson; don't hold it against us heheheh. Which, was also to check out the area to consider moving to (we are mid 50s yrs old).
    So, I fly my boss down to Phoenix just about monthly for either some medical trips, visit his friends, or also back when he was into desert racing as his mechanic was in Phoenix. I also come to Deer Valley for my annual work training. On EVERY trip, I'll talk to a local and ask them "Hey....I am familiar with Old Town Scottsdale. It is a quasi walking area. And, I can get some live music there. Where else in this mega valley is there something like that?" I usually get the hog looking at a wrist watch look. Occasionally, I'll get referenced out to West Gate. Or, they will tell me about the 1 bar they know that is across town that they have seen live music at.
    And then I come across your video here! Chandler.....who knew??? hehehe. I usually stay at the Double Tree in Tempe on Priest and Broadway; and I'll venture down into Chandler to eat or hike on South Mountain. I had no idea it is the live music capital of the valley. I will definitely go check that area out, in more detail, on my next trip.
    I was in Phoenix a few nights ago to bring my boss to the Rolling Stones concert. We arrived to Skyharbor at 1pm. So, I had the afternoon to explore. I used that time to head out west to Verrado and Estrella Mountain. Those were definitely some nice areas! But, I also felt "out there"....and that it would be 30+ minutes to come back towards the city for activities. Of course, 1 visit does not paint the whole picture. So, I'll venture out there again. But...in the interim, I'll head to Chandler next!!
    Have a great day

      We have a ton of 'suburbs' outside of town in every direction. Master planned communities are to fill in the gaps while living outside of town (most of those gaps are outdoor focused and include the entire family). For adult entertainment, you'll want to stay close to ANY of the downtown areas. I can't believe you got deer in the headlight looks, LOL. Yes there is Old Town in Scottsdale but there is also Kierland and Scottsdale Quarter, there are downtowns Gilbert, Chandler, Tempe and now even Queen Creek. There are some great spots in Goodyear and Glendale (aside from Westgate) and of course Downtown Phoenix. I am not really a activities TH-cam channel but I do know where to have fun.

    24:30 I found out why it's called Treeland! There used to be a nursery business called Treeland Nurseries in that same area, but the plot was bought out by Tri Pointe homes, hence why it's called Treeland. They even took some of the original trees from the business and planted it in the gated neighborhood. Treeland still has a location in Mesa. We are planning to move to Treeland very soon so looking forward to seeing the community once it's finished :)

    This is all true, I live in south Tempe and I love going to Chandler for shopping and good restaurants, for me it's literally a 5 minute drive. All of Arizona is beautiful but I prefer east side of Arizona more,

    Beware, the drivers in Chandler are absolutely insane. The road rage here is out of control, even worse than anywhere in SoCal. Stay Safe!

      I think there's a lot of SLOW drivers in Chandler. If you're in a hurry, yes that would be a problem.

    • @LivinginPhoenixArizona
      @LivinginPhoenixArizona  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I guess that depends on what you do for a living. The highest income areas are in the southeast valley, northeast valley and North Peoria.

      @@LivinginPhoenixArizona not sure if you do this but What would be your recommendation for me as I go an explore AZ . I am going at the end of the month to see if I like it and potentially make a move. Should I do a drive around the cities in the metropolitan area? I have been watching a lot of videos and will be staying in Chandler. Not planning to purchase a house at the moment but thought you would be a good person to ask 🙂. Thank you .

      @@esthermoscoso8885 Phoenix metro is SOOOO big. Employment and Housing are the top drivers of where you call home. Without knowing where you would be working, it's hard to say where to visit. Since it sounds like you are gravitating to the Chandler area, I'd recommend the following places: South Phoenix/Pima Canyon Trailhead, Chandler Fashion Square/Scheels, Downtown Ocotillo/Bottle & Beans, Veterans Oasis Park, San Tan Village, Heritage District Gilbert, Gilbert Regional Park, Costco (any of them), Salt River, Saguaro Lake, Tempe Marketplace, Mill Avenue... just to name a few places. Enjoy your visit!

    I'll stick to Tempe. East Side

    • @LivinginPhoenixArizona
      @LivinginPhoenixArizona  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Chandler is east side too, they are neighboring cities/right next to each other. Tempe is older than Chandler, higher crime rate, obviously home to ASU, lots of high-density living. Tempe has more of a 'downtown' feel.
