Jurassic Park is the best movie in all the franchise but it's definitely not perfect there is no such thing as a perfect movie. As for Dominion it has some issues but it's definitely not the worst either I have a feeling that kids are going to enjoy more than some of the fans
I saw Jurassic park in cinema a couple of months ago for the 30th anniversary when I left I turned to my brother and said I’ve just had a realisation that Hammond saved his grandkids life by eating the ice because the power went out it was gonna melt so he ate it but by doing that he left the freezer door open allowing Tim to lock the raptor inside
This doesn't make sense. I mean, why would they lock the freezer door? While some commercial freezers can be locked, there's absolutely nothing in the film that implies that Tim was saved because Hammond wanted ice cream. This is the kind of logic you'd expect from one of Heavy Spoilers' jokey 'theory time' bits.
@@iwasyou66During the kitchen scene, Tim runs toward the freezer to get away from the raptor, noticing the door is cracked open. Who would've left the doors open except for Hammond after getting the frozen goods out?
you are just so underrated, i love all your recaps from BB, BCS, TWD and now this? like it's all just so fun to watch and when i see your videos im like "yep, this is my day sorted"
@@Howesenberg i dont do this much but when you said to turn on ads i did exactly that, the amount of effort you put into these videos is well deserving of everything you get
I feel like you missed multiple points that you brought up as criticisms. Firstly, Zach has multiple scenes where he begins to show love for Gray, talking about how he'll always protect him, and chatting about old memories of theirs. Secondly, you brought up how the mission back to Isla Nublar wasn't actually a lie, even though it was. Claire was told that the dinosaurs that were evacuated would be taken to another island, where they would be left alone. However, the dinosaurs were taken back to the U.S, where they were auctioned off.
The giant locusts make me want a jurassic park film about all the insects at the time, giant dragonflies, snakes, millipedes and spiders. Howsenburg, ever watch Prehistoric Park as a kid?
the last film was beyond dumb! you're so right, how could the entire globe be effected by the release of the those dinos spreading across continents and how could they have bred that fast. All the dinos that escaped were taken from the Island, yet on that island, there was no issue of the dinos overpopulating that land so why suddenly do they start overbreeding when in America XD
Dinosaurs are reptiles. Reptiles tend to breed quickly and numerously. Being on a small island means fewer resources. Being on a continent means more resources, including space and food. I fucking despise Dominion, but the logic for dinosaurs spread across the globe is sound
It's hard to put into words how I feel about the new movies. It's sanitized, so focus grouped. It's just so terrible. I'll rant on to the end of time about the name change. Why change it? I bet I know the answer. It's probably something stupid, like focus groups found that 8.242% more people responded positively to Jurassic world. When common sense would tell you it's a BAD idea. Jurassic Park is a better name, plus it had the legacy; why throw it away.
Thanks for the response! As someone whos watched nearly all of Your Videos i want ti Tell You that You are a great TH-camr nad have helped me thoughts some rough Times. Maybe U could do StarWars some time soon. Id Love to See You shit on the Last few movies
You would think any actor in Jurassic park would be set for life, given how popular and famous the film is. The actor playing Tim being like “oh it paid my college tuition” makes me think they didn’t give those kids a good contract in the first film lol
This video was great. Your commentary is hilarious. Jurassic Park III was the first movie I saw in theaters. It was so fun and one of my favorite memories with my grandparents. They raised me, and encouraged my fixations which at the time was dinosaurs. They both died when I was 18 and 21. But despite it not being the best movie ever - JP3 holds a special place in my heart along with the rest of the OG JP trilogy. ❤
There was about 3 cut scenes while filming. Two alternate endings where a swarm of Raptors kill the Spinosaurus and a Pterosaur and Spinosaurus attack on the military compound. Udesky fighting off the Raptors etc.
Yes first movie was really captivating. I remember I was 10years old and got VHS from my teacher and watched it whole weekend on repeat only didnt watch it when i slept. I saw it like 20 times that weekend. Its indeed privilage to live at the same time as this movie same as your channel and your reviews, man. Thanks for laughs.
What I will never understand is that in jp3, how can Alan dream about the type of raptors that appear in the movie when he's never even seen those yet, just the original JP ones, even as a kid that stood out to me, but low-key i still enjoy that movie, maybe cuz of nostalgia but yes.
I'd scream and run like every other human being in this movie. What he did was overly theatrical, it's akin to a toddler screaming and crying because a butterfly landed on their head.
Just wanna say that, while the sequels are kinda shite, this franchise does have potential if directed in a less generic way, anyway I’m hype af for this colab of peak and peak
@@Howesenberg great work on this video man, keep it up. Also if you have any interest in custom music / compositions let me know. I do production and composing (not this channel) and would happily contribute to a channel I like

nitpick for lost world: after the trailer gets pushed over the cliff they presumably climb the rote right away and not hang there for a long time right? so when they get up after what has probably been like a minute or two the entire poacher team is there AND the rex family is far enough away for them to no longer posy any threat like did they perform mitosis on eddie and then immediately ran away was fast as they could while a horde of people was approaching into their territory?
No, FFS. The scene when he hallucinates the raptor on the plane was meant to show how much he'd been thinking about the sophistication of the animals' intelligence and communicstive ability. The whole film sets it up - the voice chamber, the "calling for help" scene, Alan asking Elle if she remmebers the sounds they make... It was a chance for the filmmakers to push the abilities of the raptors - having them 'speak' - whilst conveying Alan's fear of their intelligence. He had that dream because 1. He was paranoid and 2. Because the rators were talking to each other.
I appreciate your comment and I admit that perhaps I didn't read into it enough, I think my excuse is that the moment comes across like it's played for laughs rather than being serious, or perhaps it wasn't intended to be funny but was? So I would perhaps still criticize the execution of the idea instead of the concept. We all make mistakes and I'm willing to accept that I made one here. Thanks for providing some more insight
Most people hate Jurassic Park 3 because the T-rex was killed by the Spinosaurus. 😄And it's the only Jurassic movie that come with an unique Spinosaurus logo. I love the uniqueness all the time and it's a great movie tbh. The first trilogy of jurassic park movies are the best in my opinion.🙂
The fan wiki about the indominus rex is fairly correct but there are a bunch of other dinosaurs and other genes that were used in its creation that are still unknown in the lore
@@Howesenberg pretty much the genome of the indominus is actually fairly unknown apart from the obvious stuff like cuttlefish t rex and Velociraptors not exactly sure where the fan wiki got the other stuff apart from speculation and visual clues
Yh they decided to do dilophosaurus like that so it would vary to the velociraptor, also the velociraptor isn’t actually that size it’s closer to a turkey, but they liked the name so they used that then used deinonychus as the actual dinosaur it’s self
A real Dilophosaurus was way bigger than the movie’s raptors so there wouldn’t have been any confusion though I can respect the addition of the neck frill. I believe that part of the reason for them shrinking it wasn’t just due to the raptors needing their chance to shine but also so that the scene could have the stick fetching skit with Wayne Knight. He couldn’t have done that with a bigger Dilophosaur and the scene itself would have likely been way more serious in tone as evident with how the Crichton novel presents it which didn’t sit well with Spielberg who wanted the “Velociraptors” to keep their thunder.
Words cannot articulate how special Jurassic park (1993) is to me. I’m 38 years old now and during the 30th anniv last fall i saw it 6 times in cinemas (and watch every year at home, prob more!!) and I truly believe with all my heart it is the greatest movie ever made. No notes it’s fucking perfect
What do you think about Jurassic franchise being augmented into Monarch universe somehow? We can choose to include only the first two movies as canon and go from there...
If you think about how Claire is running away from Rexxie, you gotta think about this is the same T-Rex from the first film old girl, just started to pick up the pace just as they got there so of course she’s not as quick as she used to be
Do you think you would watch a new Jurassic park if they went back to the basics or even showed how they created the dinosaurs and the troubles they had?
I think something involving genuinely realistic dinosaurs with realistic behaviour and anatomy would be worth watching… Probably wouldn’t fit well into the Jurassic Park franchise, but it would still be enjoyable
I agree with you about guns doing shit in movies. I mean worse case scenario irl, that bullet is now a really bad splinter in the animal. Not to mention the shrapnel from that rocket.
@@Howesenberg this is one of my personal favs along with Malcom in the middle. I grew up watching the first JP at least once a week. I thought it was the greatest thing of all time
Love your content Mr Howesenberg. Started 2023 with Better Call Saul, then The Walking Dead with The Last of Us, and now Jurassic Park! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
That scene in the Lost World where that stegosaurus made the effort puncturing that tree log with it's tail(good thing it missed) after Sarah hid inside of it shows intelligence.
@100:36 - the hilarious, out of place raptor moment was foreshadowed by Grant spending his entire introduction going on about talking, intelligent raptors. He was almost eaten by them, and he's on his way to a dinosaur island. He probably has PTSD.
Whenever someone asks me what a retcon is, I give the example of Charlotte Lockwood being the mastermind behind bringing the dinosaurs back, not Henry Wu as we saw in 1993. They retconned 1993’s JP story to make 2022’s Dominion story make sense.
Yeah they really crapped on Dr Wu's character with that one and I probably should have talked about it, I was just dead inside from my other complaints
@@Howesenberg You could’ve spent a whole hour ripping apart Dominion itself: - The mystery about who’s behind the locusts is revealed within the same scene they’re introduced. - Why would the smuggler have a tracker on the ejector seat when she normally works/travels alone. Why would she need a tracker to track…herself? - The Atrociraptors are right on Owen’s heels when he’s on a motorbike, but struggle to keep up with Claire when she’s running across rooftops. - Why didn’t the world’s police & military forces instantly hunt down the dinosaurs? We see two Pterosaurs make a nest on the top of Freedom Tower, slap-bang in the middle of New York City. And everyone’s okay with this? - Why didn’t Barry & the CIA team instantly shoot the Atrociraptors when they were released from their crates? They just stood there and let the lady laser them as targets. We saw Blue get into a life-threatening situation from a single handgun bullet back in Fallen Kingdom; there’s no reason the same wouldn’t happen now.

Btw Happy birthday, mines coming up in a month or so, Love the content and keep making it!
This one deserves millions of views, you mad bastard, you knocked it outta the park
@@iwasyou66every job I’ve worked at that involves a freezer always involved locking it before closing hours.
Terrific breakdown. JP 3 has a lot of good moments I forgot about but it still doesn't hold a candle to JP 1 which is as you say one of the GOATs.
Thank you! I'm seeing a surprising amount of love for JP3 in the comments
This is my go-to sleep video
I should do a recap of every relaxing ocean sound
@@Howesenberg I’d watch it💀
you are just so underrated, i love all your recaps from BB, BCS, TWD and now this? like it's all just so fun to watch and when i see your videos im like "yep, this is my day sorted"
You're very kind, thank you and I'm glad to provide
I love these long review videos something to turn your brain off to and just enjoy! Love these vids!
It's a delight hearing you trying to say "Jurassic World" every time.
The giant locusts make me want a jurassic park film about all the insects at the time, giant dragonflies, snakes, millipedes and spiders. Howsenburg, ever watch Prehistoric Park as a kid?
Them adding the Stegosaurus because kids asked for it in fan mail is so heartwarming, thanks for sharing that
the last film was beyond dumb! you're so right, how could the entire globe be effected by the release of the those dinos spreading across continents and how could they have bred that fast. All the dinos that escaped were taken from the Island, yet on that island, there was no issue of the dinos overpopulating that land so why suddenly do they start overbreeding when in America XD
Only good thing about Dominion is that it gave us Jurassic World Evolution 2 which is a GOATED game
As someone who grew up with these movies this video means a lot to me. Keep up the good work and greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Thanks very much!
I know right?
This video was great. Your commentary is hilarious. Jurassic Park III was the first movie I saw in theaters. It was so fun and one of my favorite memories with my grandparents. They raised me, and encouraged my fixations which at the time was dinosaurs. They both died when I was 18 and 21. But despite it not being the best movie ever - JP3 holds a special place in my heart along with the rest of the OG JP trilogy. ❤
That's a really nice story, thanks for sharing. JP3 gets a lot of love and I'm glad it's special to you too.
Jurassic Park and Jurassic World are the best ever!
Next up, I'd like you to watch the Camp Cretaceous series. It's a bit goofy but wholesome, unlike its cinematic counterparts! 😂
Also, awesome summary.
JP3 desperately needs an extra 30-40 minutes . It is absolutely mind boggling why they thought they could make a 90 minute Jurassic park movie
That's awesome feedback, thank you
When I was a kid, I was convinced to the T-Rex was a good guy for eating the raptors at the end lol
Well, she did save everyone's life... perhaps to make up for killing the lawyer earlier
Can we acknowledge how Laura Dern, Sam Neil and Jeff Goldblum have not aged since JP!!!
They looked so good
Awesome video 🔥
What I will never understand is that in jp3, how can Alan dream about the type of raptors that appear in the movie when he's never even seen those yet, just the original JP ones, even as a kid that stood out to me, but low-key i still enjoy that movie, maybe cuz of nostalgia but yes.
The spinosaur ring tone is one of the most intimidating and funny moments from any dinosaur
Despite all my rage, I am still just a Rex in cage.
1:51:17 imagine you saw a 25 ft beast that can kill you in about 3 seconds walking through lava to get to you
I'd scream and run like every other human being in this movie. What he did was overly theatrical, it's akin to a toddler screaming and crying because a butterfly landed on their head.
@@Howesenberg fair enough
Just wanna say that, while the sequels are kinda shite, this franchise does have potential if directed in a less generic way, anyway I’m hype af for this colab of peak and peak
Hmmm I'm not so sure, I think the premise has run out of potential but maybe I'm just used to being let down by the films
@@Howesenbergliterally any concept has infinite potential as long as the person directing it is creative
@@Glenn_Quagmire And writing it. Sayles shows the way to more applications of the franchise.
when the video is so long it could easily pass off as the runtime of an actual Jurassic Park movie
Absolutely loved this video you killed it !
Thank you Dex, I really appreciate hearing that
@@Howesenberg of course I look forward to the next one !
Gotta appreciate Sam Neill carrying every movie he’s in.
Yes yes yes, the first film is a masterpiece, but imagine if it had warm buttery lighting
I'd watch this movie and nothing else for the rest of my life
@@Howesenberg great work on this video man, keep it up. Also if you have any interest in custom music / compositions let me know. I do production and composing (not this channel) and would happily contribute to a channel I like

Do you have me on Discord? Or on Twitter? You can ping me a link to your stuff I'd be glad to take a look. I've collabed with a musician / fan before and happy to look into doing it again
@@Howesenberg I emailed you, I will see if I can find your discord as well
Finally, another anky lover
nitpick for lost world: after the trailer gets pushed over the cliff they presumably climb the rote right away and not hang there for a long time right? so when they get up after what has probably been like a minute or two the entire poacher team is there AND the rex family is far enough away for them to no longer posy any threat
like did they perform mitosis on eddie and then immediately ran away was fast as they could while a horde of people was approaching into their territory?
Well put together, funny and informative - thank you for the video!
Thank you for the kind feedback
Most people hate Jurassic Park 3 because the T-rex was killed by the Spinosaurus. 😄And it's the only Jurassic movie that come with an unique Spinosaurus logo. I love the uniqueness all the time and it's a great movie tbh. The first trilogy of jurassic park movies are the best in my opinion.🙂
I agree. Only the rex fans hate the spino because in their eyes no rex can be defeated.
The fan wiki about the indominus rex is fairly correct but there are a bunch of other dinosaurs and other genes that were used in its creation that are still unknown in the lore
So are these unofficial extra genes just fan theory?
@@Howesenberg pretty much the genome of the indominus is actually fairly unknown apart from the obvious stuff like cuttlefish t rex and Velociraptors not exactly sure where the fan wiki got the other stuff apart from speculation and visual clues
Great video as always 👍 I love Jurassic park, Jurassic park the lost world and Jur assic world.
In JP2 the high hide is a bit of a error in the book it's a massive scaffold with a a little observation hut at the top
Yeah that sounds like a better choice. Thanks for commenting, I had no idea about that detail.
Rip jimmy buffet, he's in Margaritaville now
Yh they decided to do dilophosaurus like that so it would vary to the velociraptor, also the velociraptor isn’t actually that size it’s closer to a turkey, but they liked the name so they used that then used deinonychus as the actual dinosaur it’s self
@@Dinoslay InGen copyrighted Dilophosaurus.
The south park Timmy audio got me good 😂 this is such a great video!
Glad you enjoyed!
1: Amazing movie will watch it any time
2: Not bad, pretty fun
3: Fun concept, messy execution
Words cannot articulate how special Jurassic park (1993) is to me. I’m 38 years old now and during the 30th anniv last fall i saw it 6 times in cinemas (and watch every year at home, prob more!!) and I truly believe with all my heart it is the greatest movie ever made. No notes it’s fucking perfect
I'm glad to hear it's close to your heart too. How do you feel about the rest of the series?
What do you think about Jurassic franchise being augmented into Monarch universe somehow? We can choose to include only the first two movies as canon and go from there...
I have no doubt they will turn it into a TV series one day and I'll be there for it, just so long as they get a decent team behind it
@@Howesenberg like now as an extension of Camp Cretaceous post series is out.
Howesenbergs commentary somehow made the last few movies seem a lot better than they actually are.
If you think about how Claire is running away from Rexxie, you gotta think about this is the same T-Rex from the first film old girl, just started to pick up the pace just as they got there so of course she’s not as quick as she used to be
That intro was incredible
Glad you enjoyed
Do you think you would watch a new Jurassic park if they went back to the basics or even showed how they created the dinosaurs and the troubles they had?
Absolutely, I want more dinosaur movies, just done with a clever script and a fresh concept
@@Howesenberg I get how you feel, I absolutely love the concept but need.better.charecters.
I think something involving genuinely realistic dinosaurs with realistic behaviour and anatomy would be worth watching…
Probably wouldn’t fit well into the Jurassic Park franchise, but it would still be enjoyable
I still get labeled as a nerdy hacker for typing 70wpm. All I do is occasionally game on PC, lol.
Woah, careful! typing that kinda thing round here will lead to your lunch money getting jacked.
I agree with you about guns doing shit in movies. I mean worse case scenario irl, that bullet is now a really bad splinter in the animal. Not to mention the shrapnel from that rocket.

Love your content Mr Howesenberg. Started 2023 with Better Call Saul, then The Walking Dead with The Last of Us, and now Jurassic Park!
Merry Christmas to you and your family!
I appreciate you sticking around Tagus Merry Christmas to everyone your side too!
+2.5h of JP content? this man spared no expense!
Hope you enjoy!
@@Howesenberg You could’ve spent a whole hour ripping apart Dominion itself:
- The mystery about who’s behind the locusts is revealed within the same scene they’re introduced.
Great review. Looking forward to your next video
