@@markandsamafterwork why don't u use a ballistic calculator the most needed thing I wouldn't mind a bit still takes skill to use the calculator ur pretty good u can't just guess the wind gotta give a assist just out of curiosity
Just a 1% change in moisture and temp here will make the bullet go 1-2meters high or low. With unstable wind, this is impossible shot. 😁
In relation to the target how high above it would this guy aim for it to come down and hit target
It is 100 yards per second so the target was 600 yards away .
You can also reverse that to find out how far the enemy sniper is .
6.5 second Flight time, target 1.75 miles away, with a hit that's basically the size of a human Torso. This is Impressive! Nice Shot Bro!

@@imjustsaying8244 You have to remember that the bullet takes an arced path to the target due to gravity, not straight line. Its path covers a much higher distance than the direct straight line distance, hence the higher flight time.
@@imjustsaying8244 3000fps is velocity near the muzzle. The projectile begins to lose velocity as it travels farther away from the muzzle so the 6plus seconds of travel time is about right.
That round must be utterly insane to carry that kind of energy for nearly 2 miles. Good shooting bro 🤙🏿

1.7 miles is an amazing shot. You can actually hear the crack of the gun shot just before the bullet arrives which indicates the bullet had slowed down to sub sonic when it hits the target. It’s also a great physics experiment as well as a great feat. Well done.

Truly remarkable shooting. I have watched a number of your videos. I thought I was a respectable shot in my day (I am now 70 years old). However, compared to your skill set, I couldn’t have carried your range bag! BTW, I remember when Weatherby introduced their.340 Mag. One of my Fathers friends bought one and I had a chance to shoot it. I was around 10 or 11 at the time. The recoil was horrendous. Watching you shoot the .338 Lapua (which pretty much duplicates the .340 ballistically) amazes me. Almost no apparent recoil. What a difference a few decades makes (🤣) when it comes to modifying rifles to manage recoil and improve accuracy!

The mid velocity was 430 km/h , is no constant vecause the bullet dont hit with the same velocity as started
Exit speed from the barrel is near 1000 m/s. If the bullet traveled on a straight line, it would take 3 seconds to hit the target. However, you need to shoot higher to compensate gravity pulling the bullet towards the ground, which makes its trajectory a curve. Now the distance traveled by the bullet is not 2848 meters, is more. Finally, add air resistance which will cause the bullet lose speed.
That’s why it took 6 seconds to hit the target
