Planting bombs near trapped monster and throwing a tranq bomb to capture it as you detonate the bomb is about the cleverest and the most efficient strategy I have ever witnessed in MH games.
Man I wish they kept these invades in newer games... They can't really do it now in like world, rise or wilds because of their open worldness but man they where cool

You need 2 tranqs to cap, but I threw one of them before he entered the trap. The game allows you to decide wether you want to set the trap first and then throw tranqs or vice versa
