The WDR BIG BAND plays "The Kid From Red Bank" (composer: Neal Hefti; arranger: Jörg Achim Keller). Solos are played by Billy Test on piano, Rob Bruynen and Ruud Breuls on trumpet, Johan Hörlén and Pascal Bartoszak on alto saxophone, Frank Jacobi on tenor saxophone and Jens Neufang on clarinet. The WDR BIG BAND is conducted by Jörg Achim Keller. Produced as part of the WDR JAZZCLUB concert "Atomic Hefti" at the WDR Studios Bocklemünd / Cologne (October 2022).

Very nice and played at a realistic tempo. I have played this before at a ridiculous tempo that made it a train wreck waiting to happen. Higher.. louder.. faster.. isn't always the best way to play some big band charts. 😊
