It's a good way to put it. Having the access to be able to listen to these comics, narrated and broken down and explained is really awesome. This is a great channel. Especially when you're working and need something to keep your mind entertained.

This story was so intense. My only gripe is superman absorbing the sun for 5 years was really wasted on potential.

There have been stories where Superman spent 15 minutes in the sun, and came out beefed up like a motherf*cker, he literally spent 5 years here, and they were able to stop him no problem, even worse, they do it off panel, but either way, this story was freaking amazing! 🤟🏾🙌🏿🙏🏾
To be fair, their goal was to maximize killing potential so it makes sense that if a character could become stronger than gods by sitting still and eating radiation he would. Superman has no limit to the energy he could absorb, so erabos was most likely trying to keep him charging as long as he could till the very moment his own existance was in danger, they just made the right move in curing him asap which erabos didnt count on.
For those who dont know the mythology, Erebos/Erebus is "The darkness of the underworld", one of the 5 entities born of Chaos.
(Gaea, Nyx, Tartarus, Erebus, Eros. ie, physical nature, physical night, spiritual nature, spiritual night, and the love that inspires creation between them)
And also, this is the first time erebos has appeared in DC comics… I wonder if they are gonna use him in the mainstream

Ah yes, Erebus; the least explored Greek primordial in fiction. Even Chaos got some time to shine in Hades

I'm not ashamed to say that I teared up and found it difficult to move on to the next page when Jonathan sat next to Damian saying he knew he couldn't talk him out of it and he was just gonna sit there with him so he wasn't alone -- beautifully recalling and mirroring a similar moment between them in the original DCeased story.

Brainac coming to Earth to warn Superman and the rest of the heros about the undead gods goes to show how much of a creditible threat they are. Even to Brainac himself.
Love the call back of Jon sitting with Damien at the end just like he did in the first issue. Freaking beautiful

Oh, poor Alfred :( Thinking about his character's story throughout this breaks my heart and truly makes me cry.
I hadn't noticed the final monologue from Alfred was foreshadowed when Mr. Miracle was attacked by his son. Beautifully done. Man, what a story. Had me tearing up in the end.
On god, I teared up during Aflred's scream.

It’s been a long time since DC has made me happy. Happy this ended happily and not in your classic zombie movie “dun dun duuun” way.
Also, Alfred didn’t need the Spectre, but it helps visually prove to people who need visual proof what we already know. And that is Alfred is the most powerful being in DC.
Alfred has principles, values, and morals that’s unbendable, and unbreakable- his love for Bruce, as a son, is unconditional. Alfred is everything the heroes fight to protect, and thrive to be; Alfred IS the most powerful being in DC.. he doesn’t need super powers, or anything, just his will to preserve what means the most to him.
I would agree. Even in “injustice” Alfred’s moral strength and will power are what help him fight.
Too bad he will never be the most powerful being in all of DC hehe (you lost the plot this time again it seems) 😊

DC comics really put out some fire stories for a while. Metal, dark knights, DCeased were all epics.

This story is the Avengers Endgame of DC comics imo. It hit every right spot the right way. Damian being the best Batman, Alfred being the saving grace of multiple universes, there's just so much good stuff here.

Having gone through all of this story with you rob right now i feel emotionally drained, that story was just incredible, one of the best i've seen in a long time.
As a dad, you brought me to tears with your narrating. I felt Alfreds pain. DAMN, one of the best stories I've heard to date.
One thing to consider:
Yes, the Sinestro Corps is ruthless, and usually don't care for sentimentalisms.
HOWEVER. If there is a threat to Korugar, in any form or fashion, Sinestro will defend his homeplanet with his life.
He is a bad guy, yes. He's cruel, he's ruthless, correct, he's all those things and more, BUT he still has a moral code, to an extent, and a very thin code of honor. In that sense you can think of him like Black Adam. Adam can be ruthless, can be cruel, bloodthirsty, but he'd do ANYTHING for Kahndaq.

This story is so moving because the of the utter depth of loss that Alfred and Damian experience along the way. Just beautiful.

Phantom did a 1v1 with Trigon on earth to stall for John Constantine. John Constantine was powering up by sucking the souls out of the villains in the Australian garden before possessing Trigon as the Deadman and stabbing himself with the spear.
What an emotional rollercoaster. I got teary at this ending.
