Nice trick with folding the pleats! Don't hesitate to get those needle points down between those folds too, especially where you may need to get more dye penetration. Great work brother!

Where in the Philippines are you po? I bring projects there for my nieces and nephews to make and give as Christmas gifts. Last year was bird houses. For this coming year I picked up a few tye dye kits.
After getting them, I started researching ideas. You do amazing work,.... and hope to have them "attempt" to recreate some of the easier ones.
Thinking I am going to need to find venders in Lemery Batangas, or use Lazada to restock if needed.

Do you use any thickener? How small is the needle on the black bottle? How wet is the shirt when you start? I am having a hard time getting those nice thin lines...the black especially. Even after adding a small amount of sodium alginate, my black bleeds too much, and it becomes a fat black line, ruining the look. Those fine lines, your excellent color choices, and the meticulous nature of your folding technique really set you apart. Without the fine line, the effect is gone. Please help...
Hello, It's just a regular liquid dye 2tsp per 8oz, I use a fine tip bottles (all colors) for better control, and the shirt is damp, I set 3min. in spin dryer. 🙏

Also, pleating this neatly is SO difficult! His skill is truly amazing. I guess we’ll just have to keep on practicing - tie dye tees for everyone I know! 😂

Where do you get soda ash? And what is it?
You can buy it online at Dharma Trading Co. Or you can find “cleaning soda” (aka washing soda) at the grocery store. Note: it is NOT the same as baking soda. Baking soda is sodium bicarbonate; washing soda / soda ash is sodium carbonate.
