    Going to be a tall order getting this one over the line for my 40th, but I’m going to give it a red hot go. Looks amazing and quite straightforward to assemble too.

    Changing the order on some of the instruction will make life a lot easier. E.g. butt kicker should be installed before screwing into frame. The easiest way to install the post is to mount them to the connection plates first, then pre-screw w/ T-Nuts loosely, then slide it into the base frame through the front. Same steps should be done on one piece wheelbase plate.

      Thank you for sharing your feedback. I understand your frustration and concerns regarding the difficulty of aligning the T-slot nuts and the potential risk of scratching. We appreciate your input on this matter. Our team has actually developed an alternative method that addresses these challenges. By holding the post with one hand while screwing in the nuts with the other, you can achieve a smoother installation process, even without a second person present. We hope this approach proves helpful in improving your experience. If you have any further suggestions or questions, please feel free to let us know.

    Spent a couple of hours, and got about half way done (doing this by myself). One thing that’s difficult is getting each arm on the side to line up properly with the t-nuts and with each other, so that the wheel plate isn’t off.
    It’s been a constant struggle to make sure I loosen one side to adjust the other side to make sure that the bolts go in smoothly so it’s lined up properly
    Also, does the butt kicker seat slider in the front or rear?

      Hi, I am sorry to hear the install of the wheel plate has been difficult. We designed the wheel plate to be as strong as possible which in turn makes it quite heavy. We recommend assembling the cockpit with two people though it can be done with one. The markings on the extrusions may help in aligning the uprights and the supplied level will provide feedback on the final positioning.
      The Buttkicker pole can be installed on either the front or back 4040 extrusions.

    Hello NLR, the Fanatec DD Pro wheel has mounting points for their included t-nuts that are M6 (countersunk) bolt compatible, but the cockpit only provides M8 bolts (p.22-23). I couldn't see any M6 type mounts in the kit nor in the manual (p.6-7). I also watched the video but couldn't see anything at 6:13 that would help. Am I missing something? No big deal as M6 countersunk bolts are generally available at hardware shops.

      Hi there, In the video we show the Fanatec DD Pro connecting to the Front Side Mount GT Elite Cockpit. The spacer plate has a hole for an M8 Countersunk bolt and the connection between the Fanatec DD Pro and the Front Side Mount Spacer Plate is not possible without extra hardware. If you would like to get in contact with our Support Team, they will be sure to assist you can contact them directly at support@nextlevelracing.com

    Does it matter which grooves you put the bolts into on the mounting arms through the side mounts. I've got them in the same lengthy holes but I noticed you guys did one in each.

    Will you guys be adding lockable casters to the accessories list for this cockpit? Also, if one wanted to purchase the profile to complete the shifter mount, are you guys planning on selling said profile and hardware in a kit?

    • @NextLevelRacing

      Hi there! We do have caster wheels available as a SKU, some of our resellers have these available including Amazon. We do not however list this on our website as an accessory. If you need a hand, please email us at support@nextlevelracing.com

    Hi Next level racing, just wanted to give you a heads up, that you misspelled Aluminium in the title. Also wanted to say, just got two wheelstands 2.0s. One for my Dad's house and one for my Mum's as I loved it so much.

      Hi there, thanks for the positive feedback! We appreciate it. We spell it both ways to cater for our US and Global audience. In the US, it is Aluminum.

    Are those 4 rubber ball(legs) adjustable? How high can it go ? 1 inch ?

    • @NextLevelRacing
      @NextLevelRacing  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Great question! The feet on the Elite cockpit screwed in all the way adds 40mm to the height, with 20mm of additional height adjustment.

    I don't see why anyone would buy the FGT Elite over this? 🤔

    • @NextLevelRacing
      @NextLevelRacing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi there! The F-GT Elite and the GTElite Cockpits are both fantastic options for different reasons. The F-GT Elite is still a "100/40" profile rig that can be placed in the Formula position and hybrid position. The GTElite is for the GT position and is a "80/40" rig so they do have their differences!

    • @supercededman
      @supercededman 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Boosted Media on TH-cam has reviews of both. His review of the GT Elite shows the difference in profile thickness, which gives added rigidity for the F-GT.
      I have the GT Elite. It is a wonderful piece of kit, though 😊😊😊

      @@supercededman then the name seems a bit of a misnomer. Wouldn't that be called the GT Elite Lite?
