Part of that debate centered around members Superboy and Supergirl (visiting members from different parts of the 20th century to the 30th) having the same powers, because the same charter forbid duplicate superpowers (they changed Lightning Lass to Light Lass because of this rule). The point was also raised that Superboy's powers were essentially the same as both Mon-El (except that he was vulnerable to lead instead of kryptonite) and Ultra Boy (who had the same powers but could only use one at a time; couldn't be invulnerable while flying under his own power, for example).

Blue Marvel is one of my favorite Superman analogues and easily one of my favorite Marvel characters.He's definitely my favorite Marvel Superman rip-off! I'm kind of surprised we didn't see Marvel's Gladiator from the Shi'ar Imperial Guard, but then I guess could be considered a rip off of DC's Mon-El (who was their own rip off on superman, especially considering the comparisons between the Sh'i Ar Imperial Guard and the Legion of Superheroes), but enough comparison's between him and Superman have been made that he really should be on a list like this.
@Alex Hunter There was a practical reason Mon-El was created. At the time, DC was in some legal shenanigans iirc, regarding the ownership of Superboy, or the whole Superman family. At roughly the same time they "cleaned up" their continuity yet again, doing away with Superboy as a member of the LoSH. Since they needed someone to fill in for Superboy, they created Mon-El.
I disagree that Blue Marvel is a Superman rip-off… he is a powerhouse, and is probably one of Marvel’s most powerful heroes, but his power set is vastly different from Superman. I think you could make an argument that he is more of a Captain Atom rip off. I’d have personally said Ikaris of the Eternals

He was originally part of a JLA pastiche/homage in Avengers called the Squadron Sinister - villains from an alternate Marvel Earth based on the JLA. Somewhat later the concept was re-used, but this time they were the Squadron Supreme and they were heroes from another alternate Marvel Earth. In fact, in JLA/Avengers, Hawkeye actually called the JLA "Squadron Supreme Lite".
I've written my own in the form of "Midnight", though there's a dash of She-Ra tossed in (the alter ego uses a magical transformation), and all of the powers are themed to look like divine power. The point is to have a hero that cannot avoid being worshiped like a god as the rival of an anti-hero protagonist who can be best described as "If Batman, the Question, and Iron Man trained an archeologist to be a hero.". God vs "dude with some gizmos".

well when u give superman every power except telepathy, telekinesis, energy blast or reality manipulation, its kinda hard to not copy him since he has everything. and just cuz a character is white, flies and has a cape doesnt mean theyre a superman rip off

I liked the series Royals. Which is basically British Royal Family Superman in WW2. And if anyone hasn't read invincible yet I truly recommend it, its possibly my favourite comic. also sad that Apollo from Wildstorm didn't make this list, he and midnighter are excellent characters.

I actually really like Mr. Majestic. And I like Omni-Man's son Invincible, his series is one of my all time favorites
