The Jedi are arguably the most useless class in my opinion. The Sith can do everything the Jedi can but better, including the ability to use the force on any character to move them around which helps with a lot of the puzzles.

General grievous is a good villain class. He can use light sabers like the climb thing we’re you put the light saber in the wall and cutting out the holes in the wall
i think he should have been dark side instead of villian, and the excuse for “how he have force????” is that general grievous is extremely strong physically, so he could just grab things

My favourite class is the Dark Side, but I was seriously surprised by the upgrades the protocol droids received. Even simply the ability for them to run and attack was a great feature for me.
For me they lost too much without the option to hover.

Boba and Jango are way too underpowered, the amount of time they're able to fly is a joke. It's disgusting
@@Uchiha-fi4ij It's still more than any other character besides Scavangers, who you unlock very late into the game. I personally found Boba's and Jango's flight extremely useful, and probably collected about a third of all the Kybers on the map using them. Like seriously, most of the puzzles that you need a force-user or a scavenger for can be done with a simple jetpack flight.
This is the way.
To me, the most op characters in the game are jango fett, bobba fett, first order jet trooper, and the flame trooper
@@Uchiha-fi4ij Well that's because Lego didn't want them to fly forever. That's too OP. What they have now is perfect. I don't know why you're complaining.
I would say that the hero class could be put above the villain class, since with disguises you gain the abilities of the villain class (using certain terminals, grenades) plus being able to open hero terminals.
In Villain Class you can also upgrade to get a little droid head that fires at your enemies and cant be killed.
Correction: Bounty Hunters normally shoot a burst of 3 shots, which can be upgraded to 12 with bricks
I’d rank protocol dead last. If you use BB-8 as your astromech, he can go through tunnels instead of having to break apart your protocol droid. And if you have universal translator unlocked, literally the only thing protocol droids are good for are the protocol panels, which hardly ever show up.
If they can use the panels why are they dead last if extra does nothing
@@spacecow6223 Well some extra characters take abilities and upgrades from other classes like droideka and super battle droid. Droideka can use the villain upgrade that sommons the small robots and super battle droid has all villain abilities. They both have machine guns making them my favorite characters for combat.

Hero can actually copy all of the villain abilities if they have a full set of matching armour.
The Breaker Blaster upgrade is seriously good, you shouldn’t sleep on it. It turns it into a full-fledged bazooka. Damage like a lightsaber, but aoe and ranged.
Also, as a Dark Side character, you can force push your companion and switch to them midair to easily cross MASSIVE gaps. It’s a really cool/useful trick.
Also, Sith Jet Trooper and Jet Troopers are villain class with jetpacks, so that counts for them too.
Did you know that it’s not just protocol droid parts which can go through small holes? You can use D-0, BB8, and BB-9E; I haven’t tested Babu Frik but I expect he works too.

Weird that short characters like Yoda can't though.
My list is:
10- scavengers ( half of them are ewoks)
9- protocal Droids ( fun game play with pants)
8- scoundrel (Chewbacca, Han solo n Lando basically)
7- extras ( Unique characters)
6-other droids ( fun bb8 game play
5- jedi ( fun but not has fun has the dark side)
4-bounty hunter ( nice fire power and coolest minifigures)
3- Dark side ( more fun then a jedi)
2-hero ( clones, jetpack, I have used this class mostly)
1- villains ( basically just clones but so many different weapons, jetpacks, grievous, droids, ect)

Fun fact: The phase 2 clone trooper functions as a both a hero and villain class

What confuses me is, that I've only found one different astromech port that is different. It makes me think why more weren't different, if they had like 3-4 options instead of the same puzzle for 90% of the game
The extra class is the best, the whole class division is a terrible idea that makes the characters less unique and the extra class doesn't subscribe to the class division
not really, in tcs everything was exactly the same too
@@peabrain6872 nah, everyone did have a main class but they also were unique enough, jar jar could jump higher than jedis, boba could fly like astromerchs, 4-lom could use droid terminals, they could have really leaned more into this style instead of making everyone pretty much the exact same to anyone else in their class
@@gionidesyndrome149 just about every blaster hero had the exact same gun, jedis were all the exact same, astromechs were all the exact same, and half of the characters cant fight.
@@gionidesyndrome149 I mean on the skywalker saga we have unique characters as well... Grievous is from the villain class and can use lightsabers, Rey from starkiller base is an scavenger and can also use lightsaber, Phase 2 troppers are hero class but they also serve as Villain class
Dark side is my favorite, I personally rate for hero class higher than the villain class because the hero can disguise himself as a villain and use their perks and have really good perks on they're own. And characters like the phase two clone trooper are already in disguise.

Heroes aren't that bad. I some missions (not all of them, but most) by getting the full disguise you can use the villain terminals and the thermal detonators, just like them, while still keeping the habilities of the heroes, basically having them fused in one character... although, as I said, in some maps/missions they don't give you the habilities, just the stealth...

The best charecters are the ones that have features of multiple classes, such as the clone shock trooper, or the clone scout
I personally put dark side at 1 bc I finessed so many bricks with force choke it really helped me finish the game 100% completionist

As a Lego veteran, I don't know how I feel about having a formal class system, all the previous games have had "types" so of speak (gun characters, flyers, Jedi, heat ray, etc) but it's never been a strict division; the make or break to me is if characters can have overlapping abilities, like character can hover but also climb into small spaces; the best example from the Complete Saga was the Droid bounty hunter that could explode things but also access protocol Droid panels
The Force Crush ability is pretty much IS the Force Choke, they just didn't call it that because, well, it's a Lego game. They try and make things as less violent as possible.

I'll usually switch between sith, bounty hunter and scavenger for most of my platforming. My favorite way to solve the puzzles and missions is just using two sith to move each other places to skip the intended method. Really helps to get some of the more difficult/complex kyber crystal placements quickly. Like in the main hanger of hoth theres a crystal youre supposed to glide to, and I just stacked some of the decorative blocks then force lifted Sidious up on top of those, switched to sidious and lifted dooku up to the kyber brick then switched back to dooku.
Exactly, there are so many block stacking puzzles and I enjoy skipping them with the Dark Side users

I think ranking simply by classes is too vague, since every class has something that's just better than others in the same class; that little ball droid for example being able to go to the small places where only protocol droids usually can go, some characters who aren't Jedi or Dark side having lightsabers (and Dark side being basically just better Jedis), Vader being able to use villain terminals, some extras being a lot better at getting from place to place, etc.
I like that certain characters can speak different languages that most can't. Like how Luke can talk to astromech droids without it just going 'beep boop'
Ummm jet packs are useless. The duration of the jet pack lasts so little that it’s hard to get anything out of it
Nah you can get so many kyberbricks with the jet pack that you other wise couldn’t get
The scavenger glider to me feels more like a jetpack than the actual jetpacks because I find myself using them much more often for crossing non jump-able gaps than jetpacks
Bounty hunters also help with grinding studs, as you can gain up to 750 extra studs per kill
Remember when the protocol droid was so slow and could bot jump THAT was lego star wars protocol droids
Hero is better than villain because Phase II Clone Troopers give you the upsides of both classes
The bounty hunters are my favorite because they've got great guns, studs for kills, stun grenades, and most importantly, Grappling Hooks.
Cracking Bananas, I'm surprised you had the Jedi Class at #4 as I'd possibly put it at #1. The Villians Class I seldomly use for the Death Trooper's thermal detonator when needed. Bounty Hunter, Jedi, and Hero are my most frequent classes I use closely followed by Protocol Droid & Astromech. Plus i now own ALL 9 capital ships with Death Star 2 as my celestial viewing.

Well with extra you can have characters with exclusive class abilities (E.G. Mister bones having bombs)
I have a question, everything I've heard of the classes in this game make it sound like all characters of the same class have the same abilities with maybe one character having a special ability like a jetpack; is that accurate? I hope not, because it would be a major step back from previous games
good list, but I don't think it's fair to put extras on the list, mainly just because it's, well, extras. I consider the extras to just be another way of saying "unclassed."

I’ve been finding myself using the Bounty Hunter and Dark Side class the most and underutilize the Villain characters.
Also Heroes are definitely great to have when in space battles because upgrading them provides an extra shield, not that dying has much consequence.
I think Bounty Hunters are OP
Sith are more fun than Jedi because they can throw people, and they can cheese Kyber Bricks easily
Scavengers are underrated, their glider I so cool and helps cheese Kyber Bricks
Heroes are kind of lame
Villains are awesome and have some gems
Scoundrels are kind of useless lol
Protocol and astromech droids are alright but gimmicky

I don’t understand why the hero class is so low, with the disguise on they can essentially do everything that the villain class can do as well
at that point just play a villain won’t have to worry about obtaining a disguise

The hero class is actually really good but only if use a phase 2 clone trooper as they can do everything a villain character like throw bombs and access terminals and have all the hero abilities aswell

This dark side class with its force choke ability is the best in the game. By using this on the second player you can lift and move him pretty far, allowing you to bypass many platforming puzzles. You can also get out if bounds pretty often or get to a secret location, not accessible otherwise, which is most of the time unless but very fun nonetheless. Bounty hunters and a villan classes are just hero classes with some extra twists. Nothing special. Apart from the Fetts of course. Even though the jetpack is dissapointedly short, u can still cheat many of the puzzles which is always fun.
My guy that he will class is second-best, I mean they can grapple, use hero terminals, and disguise themselves to gain the grenade, imperial chest, imperial terminal abilities
I dont like the bounty hunter shock grenade because it removes the drawing gun animation of jango fett which i really liked

You really underestimate power push. Force push deals a ton of damage to regular enemies and is great agaist groups if you cant get close to them, the power push increases the range and power of the force push and if you max it you can get rid of a whole wave of enemies at once

Bounty hunter is great for progressing trough missions but for combat i prefer dark side and villian

I only benefit I the Jedi have over the sith is that the auto lock is better on ships and you can’t get it with dark side characters
The Jet Trooper from episode IX also has a jetpack, as well as the absolute best ranged weapon in the game: a rocket launcher. It'll destroy silver bricks at range and kill anything that isn't a boss in one shot. The thing I hate about the scavengers is that none of the characters in the base game have a good ranged option. Most of the ewoks have bows which suck, and the rest haven't got a ranged attack at all except for the wall breaker- a weapon that deals more damage to you. If you want a scave with a blaster, you need Kuill from the Mandalorian pack.

Besides the misc characters which actually have some differences there are really only these 9 characters (almost all chars in a class are the same)

Hero
Scavenger
Sith
Bounty Hunter
Scoundrel
Villain
Astromech
Protocol Droid
Extras are the best characters by far, so much different stuff in there. That class also has the most powerful character in the game (Droideka) alongside the least powerful character (Rancor)
My issue with the scavenger class is that they’re all the same. With characters from different classes there are slight variations such as the Fetts with their jet packs compared to other bounty hunters, but once you’ve got one scavenger, you’ve got them all

Also, if you play chronologically, you unlock the scavenger abilities extremely late, so that kinda ruins the free play because you need to wait so much for it.
Yeah definitely, I saw all the cracked walls and the glider ramps & had no idea what to do with them until episode 6

Not every character in the Extra category has nothing, the Super Battle Droid can do almost everything a villain character can for example

Yep, I'm working on 100%ing 1-6 before I begin 7, that's story and free play. There is one challenge I can't do in E1 because you have to see someone on Jakku first. There a re a few like that in 2-6, so I will do everything else until then.

This video is entirely subjective but some of the points you bring up dont change the game at all for me. Ive never once needed to use the slide ability as a scoundrel, and any force user behind the villian class is a daylight robbery
