Make a Round Robin "Sparkling Stars" Quilt with Jenny Doan of Missouri Star (Video Tutorial)

- Triple Play is a favorite tradition here at Missouri Star. Once a month, Jenny, Misty, and Natalie each demonstrate their own, unique take on a favorite block, technique, or template. In this episode, the talented Doan ladies are using the Round Robin technique to build one BIG quilt. They're calling it Sparkling Stars, and it sure is pretty!
Jenny designed the center of the quilt with easy 9-patches and half-square triangle lemoyne stars, Misty added a pretty layer of quarter-square triangles and sawtooth star blocks, and Natalie finished it off with a gorgeous pieced border.
This quilt was made three different times with three different fabric lines, and it's so fun to see how different each quilt came out:

I belong to a monthly quilt group. Numerous times we have chosen to do the same quilt pattern with our own choice of fabric. I was always amazed to see how different the same pattern looked with all the different fabrics.

I was going through all the old videos to get ideas for a present. I love the Triple Plays!!! I love the interplay between between you ladies! Somehow it reminds me of the fa-dal-rah between the ladies of my family during canning, holiday cooking, and sewing! Misty, I have found I follow your design and colors choices more often....just personal preference. Thank you for doing what you all do!
