    I agree with many of the comments from other people... the way you cut the 91/2" square of fabric to get all the pieces of blue to get what is needed for one block without any waste was an epiphany, to me. Thanks so much. Blessings to y'all

    I have watched Jenny do these star blocks many of times but had never thought about the logistics of the way you cut the star block. Makes so much sense to my brain to think of doing it this way! Thanks!

    I love this quilt. The cutting method for the stars is pretty cool. I think strip/tube piecing the red and white stripe would be easier if using yardage.

    Precuts make this easy. Just cut the white squares from a layer cake and get 16 squares per piece of fabric. Love how you cut the navy...so much faster than cutting strips to size.

    Could the red stripe blocks be made by sewing together a strip tube and cutting the blocks out of the tube? Like the striped blocks in Summer Squares, Summer Stars, and Summer in the Park?

    Great tutorial. I think k this would be a beautiful Quilt of Valor pattern, I just need to check if the size falls within their parameters!

    I have tons of patriotic fabric. The middle square of the star would work with a focus fabric and the striped would work with a red mini print for all the squares if you need to use your stash

    These blocks would also make a great table topper. Also you could change the colors for school colors, favorite team colors, breast cancer (pink), stroke/heart (red/heart fabric), pancreatic (purple) or just the recipient’s favorite colors. List is endless. love these blocks!

    at first glance, the stripe blocks looked so intimidating to me! I love how simply this comes together! And the cutting of the star blocks was brilliant as well! 🤩 I can’t wait to make a quilt and maybe even a table runner of this!

    Too cute! But why wouldn’t you use a strip tube ruler on the stripe blocks to eliminate extra seams? I quilt on my home machine and the fewer seams the better!!

    Love pattern having trouble with last exact Sean sometimes the red is a little off on the stripe I think the quilting may hide some of it. Not to noticeable if facing down

    This Star block is so short for the 1/4 inch seam to combine all blocks, the measurements of bar and corners should be bigger

    I know that Americans feel that the “red-white-and-blue” belongs to them, but there are many countries using that same colour combination on their flags too. This could easily be considered a France 🇫🇷 or Australia 🇦🇺 or U.K. 🇬🇧 or New Zealand 🇳🇿 quilt too!! Great, simple, eye-catching graphic design - love it!!

    Completely off subject, Misty, you once made a beautiful pillow that was black with nine different colored stars. I actually made that pillow and I love it.     Nice job, Misty! I love the quilt and the fun backing. I was thinking that it was a nice pattern for a Quilt of Valor quilt. That was a great tip/shortcut to cutting out the navy fabric.
