Hi Gabi. I love your look and I love all your videos, especially the make-over ones on your beautiful models! I'd really like a video on different eye shadow colours that take into account eye colour, skin tone and hair colour. (I know you have done a video in the past re: eye shadows for eye colours.) Personally, I have hazel eyes that are a warm green with a warm brown ring around the pupil, yet I have olivey skin (1/2 Portuguese) with a cool skin tone and cool med-dark brown hair. I am a Winter in the cool colour season and all the Winter colours really suit me in clothing. I find it weird to have warm eyes with cool everything else. I don't know if this is common, but a video on this could help other people too. Thank you for your consideration! 💖
Me too! I’m 61 and I have a cleaning service and I clean every day wearing my makeup and my customers tell me I look too nice to be cleaning and ask WHY I wear it … I simply say , “ I do it for ME !!! Love makeup and always will !!!
I wish these companies could put SPF in the primer. Because trying to work an SPF into this routine is challenging and I wear sunscreen every single day, with or without make up, rain, or shine. Gabi is so adorable. Love her!
@@brendaameli5264 yes but you would have to apply it really heavy to reach a good SPF. I don’t apply it that heavy. That’s why I need a primer to have the SPF so that I can just do a light dusting of the powder over which will boost the SPF a little bit.
No. Never. It shouldn't be. For getting spf 30 or 40, you need to put your sunscreen so thick, like the amount of double size of your thumbs nail. It's a lot. You can never put primer like that much before your makeup. And it has so much silicone with primer, so nobody will want their primer becoming so thick texture.

Have you considered trying Korean Sunscreen, some of them are exceptionally and work almost as a primer. My favourite for every day is SK1004 Hyalu-Cica Water-Fit Sun Serum SPF50+ PA++++ it’s my every day primer underneath my BB cream which has SPF but their is also Heimish Artless Glow Base SPF 50+ PA+++ which is a make up Primer that I use underneath my foundation for full coverage and it is exceptional. I am 49 and have melasma so I take sun protection seriously. Both of this products are wonderful on mature combination skin.

I’ve been using the Jane Iredale pressed power foundation for a year now.. and I LOVE IT! It applies so easily and quickly.. very little blending needed.. lasts all day and does not crease. I’m 70 yrs old and have used Este Lauder Double Wear for years but it was feeling too heavy on my skin. Apply the foundation and then spray the Pommist .. a beautiful look!!
Yes 🙌 It is SO BEAUTIFUL especially if or mature skin. Light and breathable but easily buildable when you want a little more. Such a fantastic product.

I've been having a ton of success using the Maybelline Super Stay powder foundation. That covers everything with very little product and after applying either a setting spray or a luminous setting powder, either one will give me a skin-like look. With my normal-to-oily combo skin, this has been working flawlessly for me for years and at 61, I'm quite happy with the look and the price point as well. I never could find a good shade match with Jane Iredale, even when I was in aesthetics school. But your model looked stupendous - great job Gabi!!!
I have that powder foundation too! It's a little heavy in my opinion so I just have to remind myself to go in with a lighter hand. I am so happy that you found something that works for you!

Love that you did a light blonde, you don’t see that much. I also have the Scandinavian complexion/blue eyes but I have moderate rosacea, redden cheeks but severely blue/purple under eyes with slight bags at 70. My hair is multiple shades of blonde turning champagne with age. I had beautiful complexion when younger. Help for makeup/concealer ideas!!!
I was lucky enough to learn about Jane Iredale powder foundation 25 years ago when I worked with a plastic surgeon. He recommended it for patients after skin resurfacing treatments when there can be a lot of redness and texture while healing. I realized right away that if it was good in that situation, it would be fabulous for mature skin with rosasea which I knew I was headed for. It's been frustrating trying to share this great foundation with friends and family as they immediately think " Oh, no! You can't use powder foundation on mature skin". I'm happy to see this foundation getting some love.

It's a great video for mature skin make up applications using Jane Iredale products. Great idea for eye lid discoloration. Would like to see make up techniques or tricks on how to cover the eye bags , dark circles and or fine lines " multiple eye issues" all together. Another you tube channel suggested Peter thomas Roth instant firmx eye for fixing the eye bags, but it does not cover dark circle. Thanks
I use Laura Geller powder foundation, it works so well for me. It makes me looks like myself but better. It's not dry looking on me, doesn't settle in my wrinkles or fine lines. I love it.

I don’t think you will regret it Debbie. It’s so so so beautiful. It’s very light but also buildable. The setting spray from Jane Iredale is very hydrating. You could always buy the primer + foundation and try it with CT until it runs out and go from there. I really like the CT setting spray too although I must say they’re pretty different. The Jane Iredale one is definitely more hydrating.

What a makeover! Your model is abs gorgeous! And once again your tutos are simply ...the best! They bring such an added value compared to the most existing stuff. I am totally fan of everything, your approach, techniques, so useful & inspiring tips to get out of our comfort zone (where we can often repeatedly make mistakes, my case at least). And what I appreciate also a lot is that you respect whtat's important for your models/clients without imposing what you as MUA pro would consider the best; i am sure you would have chosen mascara for bottom lashes and a more modern hairdressing but it wasn't your model's choices.

Gabi thank you for showing how to do eyebrows on permanent makeup. My eyebrows are microbladed and I had them tiuched up on March, but I have some scars and areas it didn't color well. Now I also know I can't do the fluffy eyebrow look. I really appreciate the information.

Gabi, I'm so glad you "over explain" things; you are so articulate and detailed, providing the rationale and all the extra tips that make your work and channel stand out (and help to educate/inspire me). I just tried Jane Iredale and RMS when during a makeup session at a boutique I sought out, specifically searching for RMS (because I'm now at a "difficult to wear makeup" age). I somehow missed learning anything about the Iredale foundation powder--probably because I would never dream of trying a powder at my age--and I overlooked the setting spray. I have yet to find a solution that works well for my dark purple indentations under eyes--no matter what product or technique I try, but I'm now curious to see how the powder foundation and spray might look on the rest of my face, which merely needs very little to even my color out. Your model is lovely; she radiates confidence and sexiness.
I’m 67 and have a lot of texture on my skin with some discoloration. Do you think this powder foundation could work for me? Everything else I try feels so heavy. I’ve tried everything from high end to drugstore. Thank you so much enjoy your videos.
Wow, what a beautiful look! I bought the JI powder foundation on Lisa J's rec and LOVE it! I have very sparse but long lower lashes and don't like mascara on them because they look spidery. I have started doing a transition shade or bronzer on them, but I really liked it when you added the soft grey shadow to the outer corner. I am going to try that today. TY for another great video.

She couldn’t even cover a tattoo my daughter wanted covered!!!!! I always get great tips from you! My daughter is a hair stylist in Palm Desert. No one touches my hair but her! 14 years now!😃
I do a spritz of facial spray before my moisturizer so it sinks in and then I do a final spray on top of my makeup (whether powder or liquid) with whatever brand facial spray I have on hand....Mario Badescu, Trader Joes, Derma-E, etc. and it makes the skin look more youthful.
Your model is EXQUISITE! I want to try this look out myself. I have the same skin tone. My eyes are hazel with auburn hair. I never thought to use grey as an eyeliner but will try it now with that lovely pallet.
I’m 51 and not great at doing my own makeup. I wish Gabby could come make me look good for my Instagram jobs. She looks stunning and 10 to 15 years younger after Gabby created her magic.

The Jane Iredale mineral foundations have sunscreen in them! I use them throughout the day to refresh my sunscreen.

Yeah you have to use a setting spray to melt it in. It helps it not look cakey or chalky. That is the secret sauce to. this whole thing.

Wow, she looks like Christie Brinkley. I just ordered my Jane Iredale powder foundation. Now I see I must try some of her other products. I used JI products years ago, but I think many have improved, so will retry especially with all the wonderful tips you gave on your video. It is very comprehensive and I thoroughly enjoy it!!!🤩

I may have to try the pressed powder, primer & setting spray. Wonder if the CT setting spray would work as well ? 🤔 I’ve been using Fenti Beauty pressed powder & love it, but the JI, looks so so good ! I can’t stand the feel of liquid foundation. 🤷♀️ Thanks Gabi, and she looks gorgeous ! 🥰🥰
I don’t think you will regret it Debbie. It’s so so so beautiful. It’s very light but also buildable. The setting spray from Jane Iredale is very hydrating. You could always buy the primer + foundation and try it with CT until it runs out and go from there. I really like the CT setting spray too although I must say they’re pretty different. The Jane Iredale one is definitely more hydrating.

What a makeover! Your model is abs gorgeous! And once again your tutos are simply ...the best! They bring such an added value compared to the most existing stuff. I am totally fan of everything, your approach, techniques, so useful & inspiring tips to get out of our comfort zone (where we can often repeatedly make mistakes, my case at least). And what I appreciate also a lot is that you respect whtat's important for your models/clients without imposing what you as MUA pro would consider the best; i am sure you would have chosen mascara for bottom lashes and a more modern hairdressing but it wasn't your model's choices.
I really love connecting with these women to get a better understanding of what they want. It helps me to understand this community and show a bigger range of options!

Gabi thank you for showing how to do eyebrows on permanent makeup. My eyebrows are microbladed and I had them tiuched up on March, but I have some scars and areas it didn't color well. Now I also know I can't do the fluffy eyebrow look. I really appreciate the information.

I just tried Jane Iredale and RMS when during a makeup session at a boutique I sought out, specifically searching for RMS (because I'm now at a "difficult to wear makeup" age). I somehow missed learning anything about the Iredale foundation powder--probably because I would never dream of trying a powder at my age--and I overlooked the setting spray. I have yet to find a solution that works well for my dark purple indentations under eyes--no matter what product or technique I try, but I'm now curious to see how the powder foundation and spray might look on the rest of my face, which merely needs very little to even my color out. Your model is lovely; she radiates confidence and sexiness.

Wow, what a beautiful look! I bought the JI powder foundation on Lisa J's rec and LOVE it! I have very sparse but long lower lashes and don't like mascara on them because they look spidery. I have started doing a transition shade or bronzer on them, but I really liked it when you added the soft grey shadow to the outer corner. I am going to try that today. TY for another great video.

My daughter got married last year & I hated how my makeup looked! I wanted to do my own but my daughter was wanting me to be pampered!!!!! I couldn’t say no! She spoils me but, I just didn’t like the makeup. I have more experience than she did! She couldn’t even cover a tattoo my daughter wanted covered!!!!!

I do a spritz of facial spray before my moisturizer so it sinks in and then I do a final spray on top of my makeup (whether powder or liquid) with whatever brand facial spray I have on hand....Mario Badescu, Trader Joes, Derma-E, etc. and it makes the skin look more youthful.
Your model is EXQUISITE! I want to try this look out myself. I have the same skin tone. My eyes are hazel with auburn hair. I never thought to use grey as an eyeliner but will try it now with that lovely pallet.
