I'm 66 and I totally agree. Gabi is a wonderful source of positivity for us older gals. Lots of practical, affordable tips which I have been working into my routine. Nothing is too difficult to master and everything looks natural and adds to, as you say, a better version of me. (Rather than creating a mask which isn't me at all.)

Recently someone asked me what my signature makeup style is and I told them that my goal was to make someone walk into a room and have everyone say "wow, you look GREAT" instead of "wow your makeup looks great". In my opinion, the makeup should enhance the woman and not be the entire story or steal the attention. I am really glad that message is portraying on TH-cam.
She is beautiful before & after. I love that you don’t shy away from a challenge. You don’t require a perfectly smooth, taut canvas to show off your artistry. In fact, you show it better when the base is not “ideal.” Practically anyone can make a young model look good with makeup.
I love looking at someone and seeing their unique beauty and bringing it forward. That is the power of makeup. Making over a 16 year old model is fun but it's not rewarding in the same way for me. That is why I hardly ever use models for my videos. I want the everyday woman to say "I look like that too and I can do that!"
I loved that you kept her hair long. Her hair color and the health of her hair is probably her strongest feature. Most hairdressers would cut it short only because of her age. That would be a crime. You are super talented Gabi, and you look at the whole woman and don’t rubber stamp all women of a “certain age.”

I don’t know how you do it but you make her under eyes beautiful along with the rest of her face. I wish I could fix my deep tear troughs with makeup but I just don’t know how. You and Koko are amazing. You need to do this take over project in the States. Please keep doing videos about under eye bags so I can figure out how to hide mine.

Yes!! You are so right about the importance of the lips as we age. I am SOOOO over the “line around the lips and nothing inside” look. Filling in with liner makes all the difference. Thank you for this and all your videos on looking beautiful as we age. I hang onto your advice like the holy grail. 💕
@@GlamGirlGabi I will check it out. I had Bell's Palsey a few years ago and one eye is slightly droopy compared to the other. Both eyelids are crepey, especially the affected one.
Not only is she absolutely beautiful but I really love the fact that you didn't do the one thing I hear a lot regarding mature women, and that is, you did NOT cut her hair or give her some bob cut! Mature women look just as beautiful with their long hair as any younger woman. I'm almost 70, and I flaunt my platinum silvers and long hair. I refuse to chop it off for any trend or opinion! You did a phenomenal job, and she's beautiful!❤

I have been using the line-n-fill technique for years...adding a gloss or tinted balm or a sheer lipstick. I like Estee Lauder and Revlon. I am trying to find more shades in Revlon as EL costs more than I want to pay. Have to be careful, though, because there are liners out there that do not deposit any color at all. For me, the goal is to find a liner that deposits color yet doesn't bleed or fade with whatever topper I choose.

Love your "under painting technique. I've been doing this with the new Cover Girl Simply Ageless Essence, I love this product! I use foundation over it when I want more coverage. I have rosacea myself but I also have an olive complexion. No corrector has ever helped without making my skin green. I love Cocokind's azelaic acid to help with redness. Gorgeous makeover. I love that you care so much about making women feel special & beautiful. You're such a 💎 💜

I’m 55 and my 75+ mother keeps telling me to cut my hair because of my age. Drives me crazy and I don’t have gorgeous hair like Koko does.

Love your "under painting technique. I've been doing this with the new Cover Girl Simply Ageless Essence, I love this product! I use foundation over it when I want more coverage. I have rosacea myself but I also have an olive complexion. No corrector has ever helped without making my skin green. I love Cocokind's azelaic acid to help with redness. Gorgeous makeover. I love that you care so much about making women feel special & beautiful. You're such a 💎 💜

I don't like it when people say they need to look 'younger', sometimes it comes off as 'mutton dressed up as lamb'..... but the look you did for her, just made her skin look fresh, smoothed a few lines, brightened up her face, gave definition with the brows, and looked absolutely lovely ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
