  • I'm excited to share this Fudge Icing Recipe with you. It is by far the BEST chocolate icing I've ever tried and everyone I have served it to gushes over it!
    INGREDIENTS:
    2 1/2 Sticks (291g) Unsalted Butter (softened)
    1 1/2 Cups (198g) Powdered Sugar
    3/4 Cup (85g) Cocoa Powder (my fav. is Hersey's Special Dark)
    3/4 Cup (180ml) Light Corn Syrup
    2 tsp (10ml) Vanilla Extract
    1 Cup (182g) Milk Chocolate Chips (melted and cooled)

    Is there a way to make this fluffier? Or not as dense? I love it but it's so thick for my kid lol.

      Yes, you will want to thaw it to room temperature and remix before using.

    . .hello ma'am..it is ok if I use unsweetened cocoa? and here in your video how many cupcakes can occupied the choco fudge icing?

    • @reneeconner
      @reneeconner  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, for the cocoa powder, it should be unsweetened. This will ice about 24 cupcakes- I don't put a lot of icing because it is rich. If you like a lot of icing it may only ice about 18.

    I love this recipe!!! But I add in abit of salt to cut down the sweetness of the frosting. 😀😀

    Yummylicious. Dear can I try without corn syrup?

    • @reneeconner
      @reneeconner  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      The corn syrup helps give the fudge icing a soft creamy consistency. Without the corn syrup it would be too hard because the melted chocolate would set. If you can't get corn syrup, you can try using Golden Syrup or Glucose.

    Also, how long can frosting sit out at room temperature?

    • @reneeconner
      @reneeconner  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It can stay at room temperature for 2-3 days... About the same as any buttercream.
