I already cut my stock 2003 header panel to fit the 6.0 headlights. I also purchased a 2005 grille and bumper. Will the 2005 grille bolt on my stock 2003 header panel?
I ended up going to the dealer to buy a new one. If you have any salvage yards around with trucks you may be able to find one. Or maybe Facebook marketplace.
I'm fairly sure you can. There was a video I watched before I did mine and they had fogs. My truck doesn't have them unfortunately. This is the video I watched th-cam.com/video/5eJgrA7b83E/w-d-xo.html
I bought a new one just to make it easier. You can also cut the back of the old one to make the lights fit. There's a few videos on TH-cam of people doing it.
@@blakecampbell8942it bolts right up. Really the big differences are for the headlight housings to fit in and it’s taller to accommodate the taller grille
@@THESKINIMIN1234 Exactly the answer I needed. Thanks brochacho! Header panel it is. I don't want it hacked, it's got to be factory. Appreciate you sharing this info.
Thanks for the comment! I got the grill with the header panel from a a local truck parts place.I got the lights from eBay and the bumper I ended up having to buy new because the parts place had none. Probably if you looked on craigslist or Facebook market place i'm sure there is some for sale.
Looks great! We would all like to know if you needed other parts to complete the swap? Any Brackets?
Looks great Evan! I just love that truck.
Thanks Mike! I love it to.
Whered you get the fender flares
Hey would i need bumper brackets from the 05-07 year for the conversation
Can you give any pointers on how to get the painted upper pad snapped into the bumper? Thank You!
Would look better with painted 2000 painted grille and painted bumper with black Harley 2006 lamps

You would need a 05 header panel for the grille and bumper to line up properly.
@@1990johndeere318 Can I reuse my old 2003 header panel hardware to install the 2005 header panel or do I need extra fasteners to install it?
@@Mike-xn1bh All the old hardware should work. A lot of mine broke because it was rusty. It should be easy to get if you need it though,
We’re did you get your bumper

Can you reuse the fog lights for this conversion?

@@1990johndeere318 does the new on just bolt up or do you need to do anything special?

Is everything direct bolt on
Yes. If you get the header panel for the new grille and headlights it will all bolt right up.
How much was the bumper if ya don’t mind sayin
Mine was new and was around 800. I would try and find a good used one if possible. Unfortunately no one around me at the time had any.
awsome! where did you find the bumper, grill and lights?
