great job i love john Deere's
Great video buddy
Nice video Evan. I always look forward to seeing this tractor when I can. I need to get another one
Jeśli można zapytać ile wy tymi traktorkami zaorałiście tego pola. Mam na myśli ile hektarów?
Around 30 hectares.
Great video! I seriously can't believe you've had that tractor for 9 years already...time really flies. And now she looks better than new!
You should have taken some pictures.
We’re did you get your bumper
I ended up going to the dealer to buy a new one. If you have any salvage yards around with trucks you may be able to find one. Or maybe Facebook marketplace.
I thought this was supposed about John Deere instead of a junk Ford truck.
awesome video
Thank you. Glad you enjoyed it!
Nice video
Great job, looks really good, like brand new🚜
Whered you get the fender flares
Hey boss!! I found ya via Cory and hit the ol subscribe button. Cheers from Alberta, Canada!
Hey Thanks! I appreciate it. I'll check your channel out also.
Hey boss!! I found ya via Cory and hit the ol subscribe button. Cheers from Ontario Canada!
Yep people are right eh everybody talks the same in all parts of Canada except french Canada just a warning all Americans don’t come here because you are not welcome here
@@Davthefav haha, made my day, thanks!
I bought mine in 1989 and still use it today. I'm on my 2nd set of wheels and they are almost slick. Normally it starts on the 2nd pull. It has never idled smooth but runs good under load.
For Anyone who does this..use a product OSPHO after you scale the rust off. Before you paint-undercoat.
What is the size on the tires ?
The rears are 26x12x12 and the fronts are 18x8.5x8
Thanks for sharing your video great job
Had a great time
I already cut my stock 2003 header panel to fit the 6.0 headlights. I also purchased a 2005 grille and bumper. Will the 2005 grille bolt on my stock 2003 header panel?
You would need a 05 header panel for the grille and bumper to line up properly.
@@1990johndeere318 Can I reuse my old 2003 header panel hardware to install the 2005 header panel or do I need extra fasteners to install it?
@@Mike-xn1bh All the old hardware should work. A lot of mine broke because it was rusty. It should be easy to get if you need it though,
Are you for real?
:-)
Looks good😎😎👍👍☀️☀️🍮🍮
Can you give any pointers on how to get the painted upper pad snapped into the bumper? Thank You!
Is everything direct bolt on
Yes. If you get the header panel for the new grille and headlights it will all bolt right up.
Love the new shop Evan! All the equipment looks right at home in there. I like the new snow plowing machine as well...looks like it's in awesome shape.
Thanks Mike. It was a unexpected move but it worked out good in the end. Hopefully this summer you'll get to see it in person.
Like the sign above the door. perfect place for it.
Yeah It fits perfect there and is the last thing you see when you walkout.
So did you need a new header panel?
I bought a new one just to make it easier. You can also cut the back of the old one to make the lights fit. There's a few videos on TH-cam of people doing it.
@@1990johndeere318 does the new on just bolt up or do you need to do anything special?
@@blakecampbell8942it bolts right up. Really the big differences are for the headlight housings to fit in and it’s taller to accommodate the taller grille
@@THESKINIMIN1234 Exactly the answer I needed. Thanks brochacho! Header panel it is. I don't want it hacked, it's got to be factory. Appreciate you sharing this info.
How many hours on the tractor?
It currently has about 2100 hours.
@@1990johndeere318 That’s due for a Rebuild, they are considered 1500 hour engines. I have one with 1800 hrs and it is due too. But I just use it for snow blowing.
@@markpontes4457 I will probably get it done eventually. So far it doesn't burn any oil. It doesn't even smoke. Sometimes I wonder if it has been rebuilt just by how good it runs.
What a great show! It's a shame I couldn't make it out there this year but it's definitely on the list.
Better make it next year. LOL
What did you find your bumper
I need to get a set of discs for my 318!
lmao
In cleaning up the WEED eater I follow instructions on my owners manual which mentions to use warm soapy water and a cloth or Spong. Rub it clean also dry it after each use.
Awesome video. I'm restoring a 1992 GT262 now. Your video has helped to keep me motivated. You have a new sub. 👍
Good job 👏
Master workmanship, your a lucky guy. 😀🗽
Love the cinder blocks, reminds me of NY. Great job !
Great little john deere mowers, picked a JE75 today for $100 bucks, have two other 14sb's. grown up using them and great machines. Parents have a parts mower 14sb and there good mower a JX75. grandparents have a JX75 also. My grandparents had theres since new, great machines overall. if your local to lancaster PA area I will give you a bag.
Hello, what brand of paint did you use to repaint the 318, also where did you get the grill emblem. Nice job,.the tractor looks awesome
Does anybody have any information on where to buy a bucket set up like this
Would look better with painted 2000 painted grille and painted bumper with black Harley 2006 lamps
Nice dethatching rig! Looks like it does a really nice job. That 318 sounds great.
Change the fuel lines
I did a mini restoration to my 318, thinking that the 318 was a powder coat, the johndeer paint I used look different from original
Beautiful tractor. Awesome restoration.
Thank you!
How much was the bumper if ya don’t mind sayin
Mine was new and was around 800. I would try and find a good used one if possible. Unfortunately no one around me at the time had any.
Had a 318 and 320.hate them..... bought a Kubota
Looks good. I am doing my 318 right now. Can I ask what you used for the foam backing on the plate behind the motor? And where you got it? Thanks.
U should check out the 430
Is that chassis saver or por15?
Thanks for the comment. It's actually rustoleum semi gloss. I think either of those 2 are probably better to use. The rustoleum has held up well though.
@@1990johndeere318 oh nice,I’ve got rust oleum on my frame doesn’t look near as nice lol
@@dakotathompson8062 I'm surprised how well it's held up. I have recoated it a few times since then.
Can you reuse the fog lights for this conversion?
I'm fairly sure you can. There was a video I watched before I did mine and they had fogs. My truck doesn't have them unfortunately. This is the video I watched th-cam.com/video/5eJgrA7b83E/w-d-xo.html
Buddy i dont know if its the video that makes it sound like that or not , but you should never work your tractor especially an Onan at any speed other than wide open throttle, it says so right in the manual.. there are many reasons for this , first oil pressure esp in onans you need the engine rpm to make the max oil pressure as not to starve the crank and connecting rod bearings of oil .. second and also very important Onan is not a clean burning engine and you need the heat in the cylinder to burn off the carbon off the rings pistons and valve seats or it will cause you major head aches.. they are designed and built to run at approx 3200 rpm’s at all times they will last the longest by far running them at the appropriate rpm’s , you can ask any JD dealer or read any manual and they will all say this is true... great video tho thank you for it..
