This man practically raised me. Been watching close to 8 years and I wouldn’t nearly be as big of a Zelda fan as I am now with out him. Thank you for all the adventures… yeeeeeah
One of the most underrated staff members at Nintendo is the script director for Majora's Mask, Mitsuhiro Takano. Hardly anyone ever talks about him, but his work is MAGNIFICENT! He was the script writer for Star Fox 64, he was in charge of script and event planning for Wind Waker, and was Cinema Scene Director for Twilight Princess. One only knows what goes inside that man's mind to create such magnificent stories.
To this day, Majora's Mask's world feels more alive than any other game. The 3 day cycle does miracles for establishing the town people, their schedules, and what Link can do to affect the people of the world, along with the consequences of what will happen if he doesn't. This game is a masterpiece and I love it
I would legit love a game that's JUST a town with a cycle like this. No dungeons or fighting, just like.... A dynamic Love Actually: The game. It has to be fantasy though.
If other timeloops like Russian Doll, Source Code, Stein's; Gate and Minit are like mazes that take you back to the start when you hit a dead end or run out of time, MM is a maze with checkpoints at each dead end. No matter what you do for those 3 days, as long as you finish it you'll be rewarded.
I think the most crushing thing about the 3 day cycle is that it makes it so you can help anyone, but you can't help everyone. There is no "completionist run" of those three days. If you help out Kafei, you can't help the Bomb Shop Lady. If you wait to get the Bunny Hood, you missed your chance to save Romani from the alien ghosts. Sure, you can always go back and do it differently, but then you'll be missing out on something else. In every iteration of those three days, someone has to suffer. Link can't save everyone, not in three days. That's why the masks are there. Maybe you'll have to abandon Anju and Kafei on the final night, but the Couple's Mask will always remind you that in one timeline, you managed to help them.
I’ve been watching peebs for just over 8 years now and if it weren’t for him I wouldn’t be anywhere near as much of a fan of Zelda and more specifically majoras mask. Thank you for another Zelda month Austin!
The concept of this game is simply artistic, you are pretty much in the limbo, you are helping their inhabitants come to terms with death, deku is a deku kid that got lost and died and skull kid trapped his soul, goron is a hero and leader of the gorons that regrets dying before saving his people, the zora die without fulfilling his dream and because his race is nearing extinction. Link is probably dead too but as the good person he is he took all their burdens and gave them closure. Majora masks is just beatiful
Pretty sure that it was confirmed by the devs themselves that Majora's Mask actually happened, Termina is a real place, and Link is very well alive for the entirety of the game. The themes were highly coincidental, but Termina isn't some weird Limbo. It's an actual place in the world of Zelda.
@@Spirit_of_Yubel Yup. The "Limbo" theory is basically something the person behind Game Theory created for a video one time that nobody was ever meant to take seriously. So naturally, people started throwing the word of the devs themselves out the window in favor of this one theory.
@@wallyjoe2008 he didnt came up with it tho, it was from a reaaaaaally old creepy pasta and back then devs didnt cleared it so it stuck to me, never did i threw the devs name nor said termina isnt a real place, it doesnt change that the concept is that of an inminent death cycle and people not being able to accept death
@@NoahHalfSquid Either that or a different parallel world like when Midna goes back to her world thru a mirror, was it the mirror world from ALTTP or Lorule or an enitre different world
After playing Ocarina of Time and then Majora’s mask, I remember being so impressed that the day/night cycle happens no matter where you are in Termina.
Me and my brother spent hours watching your collection series', and the Majora's Mask one was his favorite. He lost his battle with mental illness last year, but you always brought so much joy. Keep up the good work
Been watching you for almost 8 years I remember when the ocarina of time hacking was new and when the ghost Easter eggs in games vid was new ahh good times you’ve came so far
It’s been so long since the beginning, and now we finally have a majoras mask, keep doing what you’re doing peanut butter man, you’ve made childhoods and are still making childhoods
Still my favorite game of all time too! The characters feel more alive than any other game I've played, where they aren't just reacting to how far in the plot you are or how much you've bribed them to like you. They have daily schedules, context specific dialogue, react to your masks differently, and just overall feel like an actual town of people trying to live their lives in the face of the apocalypse.
The great fairy parts are kind of like pieces of heart to me. like, when It's the first of 4 it's like "whatever" but once it gets to the last one it's like "Yes! Gimme!" I have the same feeling in Hollow Knight with the flower delivery side quest. if it's not the last of the mask shards, I don't bother with it, but once it is, I HAVE to do it! I'm thaaaat close to having more health.
Majora’s Mask will always be my favorite Zelda game, every character felt so alive, everyone dealing with the world ensign in their own way made the game feel relatable, when I finally beat the game 100% and got the deity mask that one was my favorite, just sucks is only used for boss battles. The Zora mask as well was fun to use. the alien side quest on Lon Lon ranch and the anju side story was fun
Gotta love the CDI music at the beginning of the video. This man got me into speed running that game, and eventually into a world record holder. Props to you Peebs, been watching for 10 years, looking forward to the next 10.
I seem to remember that there was a past Zelda Month video where you imitated Link conducting as Don Gero lol! Anyway, this was just a nice video and really reflects the love and nostalgia for Majora's Mask :D It was and still is my favourite Zelda game, and it's wonderful! You really let your love show and touched on all the things about it that just make it as enjoyable as it is. You also did that in past videos where you talked about elements of the game, and this just encapsulates them! Thanks for such a great nostalgic little trip~ ^w^
Hi pbg! I don’t know if you’ll ever see this but thank you so much for all the good times, you really helped me the past year. At around this time last year, I was in a really really dark place and although I needed professional help, you were still a huge help to me. I just wanted to say thank you for awesome past 12 years 💖
Its always nice coming back to your channel and seeing you talk about all the games i grew up playing, especially since i grew up watching you. Its also partially because of you that Majoras Mask became my favorite LoZ game
Majora's Mask is still my favorite Zelda game, and honestly a love of it came from watching Peebs in the early 2010s. So happy I learned about Zelda through you. So many memories and treasures.....
Man, I mentioned this to Jirard recently on an AMA he did on reddit, but watching these videos is always so.. peaceful. I've been watching your content for about 9 or 10 years now, as well the completionist, beard bros, Jared, Continue?, Jesse Cox and everyone else in these circles. I grew up with all you guys, always excited to watch a new video. I'm turning 21 at the end of the month, moved to another country with my fianceé, and I still get just as excited. I would never be where I am without you, Austin, and I probably never would've even found the rest of the guys who shaped my childhood and growing up, as you were the first english youtuber I started watching. You also made me a Zelda fan who's played almost every single game in the franchise, so that's another thing I have to thank you for. We now watch these together with the missus, and everytime we do, I am reminded of how much better my life has been because of all you guys. Thank you.
I love how during the part with the Frog Choir, he was using the same hat used in the Frog Choir part of “Top 10 Masks in Majora’s Mask!” What a throwback :)
Thank you for making my childhood, Peebs. Been here since the G-files and your videos have gotten me through so much. Here's to the end of another amazing Zelda month, and to the best Zelda game, Majora's Mask! 🎉
8:59 I don't know why, but I never realized you could do that. That makes solving that room so much easier. I've played Majora's Mask a bunch of times now.
The saddest day ever is when Zelda month ends! What an amazing way to close it out! Majora’s Mask is one of the most amazing and unique games of all time! I feel like it utilized the Kubler Ross model of grief. You are the best PBG!
I love Majora's Mask, happy you finally made a video on it as a whole! 8:26 I think they say that to Link because they use Garo's Masks to steal from people as you can see during Cremia's quest. 8:45 You meant the Bremen Mask which luckily is way easier and quicker to obtain than the Circus Leader's Mask. 10:08 Quite appropriate considering what one of Deku Link's attack is. 13:52 If only the dogs in this game just did "that" instead of trying to murder you while in Deku form... 15:41 Didn't expect to hear this song here, but it's perfect considering that it's used in another game for something as depressing as Majora.
That EBA bit was jarring, wasn't it? "Teach that high school jock how to be a good babysitter! Help not-Paris Hilton escape an island! _CHEER UP A GIRL WHOSE DAD FUCKING DIED._ Make a former MLB star defeat a volcano golem with the power of Baseball!"
I started watching PBG when I was barely 13 and just beginning my Zelda addiction. I’m turning 22 in a few days and here I am, still chugging his content and laughing about how creepy the Great Fairy’s Mask is. Thank you so much for all your time and effort, and know that as long as you keep posting videos you’ll have a loyal viewer in me! You’ve given me so many memories…and treasures…(and a separate crippling addiction to Harvest Moon but that’s neither here nor there)
Peebs, you have been my favorite youtuber for 9 years now. I started watching you when I was 9 and I still get excited over every upload. Never stop being awesome!
Majora's mask is really something special when it comes to the Zelda series. It's very unique with the days mechanic, useful of different masks, very memorable side quests, and extremely dark in its tone. While I admit it has its flaws I still love it quite a bit and it's not hard to see why many love MM.
Over a decade since I first watched your videos, and I never get tired of hearing you talk about Zelda. Thanks for getting me into the series all those years ago, and thanks for another great Zelda Month, PBG!
The final day of Zelda month, I can’t wait for the next one. Majoras mask is my favorite Zelda game, the darker atmosphere, the masks, and the side quests are great. I still play the 3ds pretty often, it’s got all the uniqueness of the original but more polished and easier to access
I like people with long brain. I have long amount of disl*kes btw. Why? Maybe people with short brain disl*ke because jealous of my long amount of subscr*bers. Please have long brain, dear ss
I actually feel that the 3DS version is greatly inferior to the original. What always stands out for me is traversing using either the Deku mask or Zora mask. In the 3DS version, movement isn't as fluid as in the original. Skipping across water as Deku Link is inhibited in comparison to the original, as is swimming as a Zora. You need to use magic in the 3DS version to swim quickly, which isn't required in the original. Anyway, rant over 😂 regardless, it's an amazing game!
@@solidskullz5736 Basically everyone and their mum will take any opportunity they can to tell you the 3DS version is inferior despite it having amazing quality of life changes (song of double time is godly and fixes the games biggest problem. W-A-I-T-I-N-G) and generally looking nicer. Nostalgia is a wonderous thing. Don't get me wrong the Zora link change sucks balls but I think I can forgive it since everything else is better. Even has 2 fishing areas AND you can wear the fierce deity mask in them for some weird reason.
I feel like the 3DS version takes away a lot of the uniqueness of the original version. Just look at the bosses. The original bosses were unique in that there were multiple ways to take down, but the remake makes them just like the typical Zelda boss with the obvious eyeball weakness
Some of my favorite memories from pbg is all of the amazing songs....like ghost ride the whip, smash the truck, Charlie church mouse, I'm so glitch. This man should make an album of his best songs!
Thanks for raising me, Peebs. I grew up with my older sisters’ GameCube and the Zelda Collector’s disc, but we didn’t have a memory card, so I had to vicariously experience all the cool stuff about this game like the aliens, masks, and just everything about it through you and your videos whenever you talked about it. And you actually got me so invested in trying to play this game, that I finally went and got a memory card and I finally understood why you and so many others love this game. And now whenever someone asks me what my favorite game is, there’s never any doubt that it’s Majora’s Mask.
I've personally been infatuated with this series in the past month or so as it was a childhood game that I never finished. This is a bit of a coincidence for me because of that.
youtube recommended you in my feed for the first time in god knows how long, and my god its a blast of nostalgia seeing you talk about majoras mask, especially remembering the ben drowned video and hacking videos, love your channel man
I honestly love majora's mask so much and I think PBG is a big part of that. It's a fantastic game, and one of the few I've bothered to 100% complete (heart pieces too!) But it also has so many memories tied to it like PBG talking so fondly of it, the whole Ben drowned thing, and just generally watching TH-cam tutorials to figure out some of the masks because I couldn't figure it out myself. Had the virtual one on the Wii, and then bought the 3ds remake as well and while the original is fantastic, the 3ds one is definitely the way to play. The biggest thing is saving, and the ease of the second screen for me.
The 3DS remake screws up Deku Link's speed & slows it down a ton, and completely botches the Zora swimming for some reason. Otherwise I love the look of it, I just can't get behind those weird changes that ruin a lot of the fun of those masks.
@@corey2232 the deku speed thing I didn't even notice, and for the Zora swimming it's less fun sure but it's waaay easier to control and you can use the magic shield thing to swim as you did before. Especially for the water temple, the old style swimming made it so frustrating at times.
i saw majora mask in the title and thought it was probably from a few years back since is pbg favorite zelda game, turns out he just released it lol, btw majora mask is my favorite zelda game due to how unique it is,, there is something about the atmosphere; how soothing, eerie and scary it can be all at once
Thank you youtube for recommending me my childhood again. Its been way too long PBG. I grew up loving everything you made, the Gameplays the everything! And then TH-cam made everything silent. I’m glad you’re still doing what you’re doing! Been a fan for about 10 years, and I’m proud to stay that. Keep being yourself man, we love you! ❤️
Man. PBG, I still remember watching 'Top 5 revolvers in video games' way back in the day. How much stuff I have been through since, watching your videos on and off ever since. You have been a large part of my youth and I just wanted to say an honest thank you for all of the work you have done over the years.
I’ve always been kinda salty that we never got that much official lore on the Majora’s Mask itself. It’s one of the series more unique villains and all all we get about it is a brief and vague backstory in game, a non-canon manga, and tons of speculation.
@@alijahaskew4644 Yeah, any information that's given about it needs to raise just as many questions as answers to keep the mystery afoot. Also, the original comment says it was made 5 hours ago, and yours says it was made 6 hours ago, somehow. So that's cool.
It’s not an overstatement to say that a big part of my upbringing includes having watched this channel very much and I’m very thankful for this video and everything you’ve done!
I was already a massive Zelda fan before I started watching PBG in about 2016, but he single-handedly kept my interest in the franchise incredibly high over the years, and now after beating Majora’s Mask 100%, I can safely say that I’m more than grateful to him for helping to keep me invested in this masterful franchise. You’re one of the greatest TH-camrs I’ll ever watch, Peebs
Great to see a Majora’s Mask video! I can’t even remember how long I’ve been watching you, but I know for certain that I have been subscribed to you before your Pagemaster video.
When the band TLC released their hit song in Termina, it went on to become the all time best-selling record in the country - something about it just resonated with the populace. Well, everyone except for those who lived in the Southern Swamp.
Honestly, I love the idea of this game having no gimicks for the bosses. It feels like there's enough of that in all the other games, and it's a nice change of formula after its predecessors.
I'm not sure that totally accurate Ghot is obviously built exclusively around the Goron mask's rolling. And the Giant's mask is one big gimmick for twinmold. Addtionally the Igos du Ikana fight is pretty gimmicky with the way you use the mirror shield. Also can't forget the Wizzrobe's gimmick of having 5 fights for no good reason. In general though the bosses are pretty good so the more gimmicky ones tend to not be as noticable. Hence why Twinmold is noticeably awful.
There's still clear signposting for a preferred way to fight them like Tatl's advice and all that. The real strength of these bosses is finding the atypical ways to beat em. That and seeing how comedically fast they go as fierce deity.
@@TheWrathAbove I did that my first playthrough. But I never did it again because he spawns fire walls that forces the fight to start over if you accidentally walk into it as a Deku. xD
@@TheWrathAbove IDK I think Peeb's explanation is accurate: Here's a boss. Go eff 'em up. Like sure each one has a few tricks that are the 'expected' way to do it, but you can still get creative and do it another way.
It’s been 9 years since i’ve seen a pbg video. it’s good see the old and faithful still going at it. it’s epic to see others appreciating your work after all these years.
The montage at the end was pretty great! Probably unpopular opinion: Great Bay Temple is my favorite dungeon of all the 3D Zelda games. I never understood how so many people got confused on its layout, it's pretty simple. Just go to the center room, work your way down one room at a time, change the current and do it again. I liked how it played with the water physics, and the boss was pretty fun too.
The first thing that introduced me to Peebs was when I found his Majoras Mask walk-through(-I mean "Majora's Mask Goron show the show!"). That was back in 2014, and I have been a fan since. Always my #1 TH-camr, and someone that helps me always be excited about Zelda! Glad to finally see a Majoras Mask video too, it's my favorite Zelda game and I always remember some of the jokes from the walk through while playing it which just makes it even better! Thank you for giving me so many hours of entertainment Austin!
I've always loved this game for how unique it is! What other game practically plays itself without you like this? It gives you a sense of just being a part of the world instead of it all revolving around you. Even at the end of the game, most of the characters don't have any idea what you've done for them, and then you're just asked to leave. It's almost shocking compared to what we're used to, even with other Zelda games. There's truly no other experience like it!
man, i've been watching your videos for 8 years now. when i first found your channel when i was 9 i must've watched all of your videos at least twice. i've had a very hard life, and it's gotten a lot harder lately, but your videos have always been a lil glimmer of light. especially in my younger years. thanks for the laughs peebs! you mean more to me and so, so many other people than you could ever imagine :]
Honestly I never heard of you until a moment ago, but I strongly adore and admire any TH-camr that's been in the game since the early age of this site, especially ones whose videos are right up my alley.
I’m so happy that Majora’s Mask is getting recognition again from PBG for being one of the most iconic Zelda games ever but I will not stand for the Great Bay Temple slander. 😂😂 it’s an amazing dungeon. Pain in the butt, yes, until you realize you gotta just follow the pipes.
Peebs, you’re the reason I got Majora’s Mask, and while it took me a while to actually beat it, once I did, I fell in love with it. It’s tied for my favourite Zelda game along with Botw and WWHD. I love it so much, and I always try to preach especially when people start talking about OoT 🤣 my main thing that I love about MM is that it’s young link that does everything. In OoT, young link can’t do that much that adult link can do except throw a boomerang, but the hookshot is basically a better version of that, but in MM, my boi can ride epona, use a bow, use a hookshot, use 2 big swords, use bigger shields with one hand and freakin saves a land that isn’t even Hyrule and doesn’t even have Zelda in it! I love the complete 180 from OoT and to me, that’s why I love it! Also cuz you opened my eyes to see how awesome it is, so thank YOU for finally making a video on it!
A Majora's Mask video from Peebs is what we call an early Christmas present! Happy Zelda month, Peebs! Thanks for all the Zelda flavored videos this year 💚
I was introduced to this channel through the MM playthrough, and it's how I got into Zelda in the first place, so after a while of not watching the videos, it seems fitting to get back into the channel with another MM video
I’ve been watching zelda month since the very first zelda month, and every single zelda vid you’ve made since, along with tons of other random vids, glad to see you back at doing zelda in november
Just so you know, I started watching your channel like 7 or 8 years ago, and it was the Zelda month videos that I first started watching. So I'm really glad you're still doing Zelda month 😁
13:15 I'm gonna be honest here, if I was lying on the floor dying and Deku Scrub Link came up to me, I'd be pretty taken aback, if not, outright horrified. A sentient tree thing with a big holey beak mouth and dead soulless eyes would be a pretty unsettling final image to see, especially considering the fact Link doesn't even talk! He'd just be standing there... MENACINGLY!
I used to dislike this game as a kid, purely over very superficial qualities from just one casual first playthrough. For me it was like Ocarina of Time with no adult link, which was the coolest thing as a kid, and with less than half the dungeons. And when you play it that way, just casually doing the story, it can be kind of underwhelming. But you are right, it really really shines in the side content, the world building, the tension of the moon, the micromanagement. I still prefer Ocarina of Time, I think it is a better game in a lot of ways, but this one can be seen as a better and/or more interesting piece of art, if that makes sense. At least I see it that way.
While I see your point, I still gotta side with Majora's Mask on this one. One of the things that bothered me about Ocarina of Time was that you kinda just felt like Ganondorf's Janitor. "Oh no! Ganondorf wrecked the world/hotel-room while you were asleep for seven years; here's a mop--now go clean up his mess." It felt like all the damage had already been done, and that the only way to *truly* fix what happened was for Zelda to erase everything you ever did in the future, which is what she ended up doing. In Majora's Mask, you helped these people in real time. If you didn't help them, they'd *die,* so it was a race against the clock to make everybody's lives better. My sister and I actually did a playthrough of Majora's Mask where we embarked on a Quest to Make the World Perfect--do all the dungeons while completing as many sidequests as possible to make a perfect world. (Spoilers: You can't. You either have to let the old lady get mugged, or not let a couple get together. Sorry Bomber kids.) Maybe it's my altruistic side showing through, but I liked how even if you didn't do anything particularly grand or spectacular like in Ocarina of Time, you still made a sizable impact on all of these people's lives and at the end of the game, you see that. And that, to me, is far greater than any title the three golden goddesses can bestow upon you. ;) (Again, not to trash your opinion or anything, but I just thought I'd explain my perspective. :P)
@@CherryCo.Studios Thank you for the nice long comment and oh I agree fully. The story and world of majoras mask are way more interesting than the admittedly simple story of Oot, even if I enjoy it and was groundbreaking at the time. But there is one thing I believe OoT has over every other Zelda, and that's its pacing and its percentage of engrossing gameplay. There is a perfect balance imo between main story, gameplay and side content that makes the game so replayable and enjoyable, you are never far away from the next great moment, either that being a dungeon, a plot twist or general adventure. Which is one big problem I have with breath of the wild, which can become stale pretty quickly in its enormity. Twilight princess and skywardsword have opposite problems, their stories are a drag, constantly interrupting you and drowning the experience in dialogue. Majoras mask is one of the better ones but I still actively try to pace myself to not do 6 hours of dungeons and then 6 hours of side quests, I try to mix them out to fabricate myself what I see as a more balanced experience. But it doesn't help the issue of its lack of dungeons, even the final one is not as grand as Ganon's castle. OoT has 9 main dungeons with several secondary ones throughout the adventure. Majoras masks also suffers from and extreme lack of difficulty... With only four dungeons, enemies and bosses are balanced to account for players that do mostly the main story finishing the game with 7 hearts or so, but giving the ability to collect the same total of 20 hearts and 6 bottles! 7 in the 3ds remake!! Why? In a game where the final boss can be beaten by just mashing B with the fierce diety mask, the same with twinmold once you put the giant mask on. And still is one of the only games without a hero moder or master quest. But it might be the ones that needs it the most. As a general experience is masterful, I think the story and concepts shouldn't be missed by anyone. As a zelda game or game in general, it is still great, but I still prefer OoT. At least for me it is more easy and more enjoyable to go back to after years and years.
@@diegog1853 Hmm, I had never really considered the pacing of OoT before, and, yeah, I agree with you there. I also guess my tendency to play games for the plot more than the gameplay is shining through as well, since dungeons in Zelda (or any videogame, really) are just something I put up with, more than actively seek out. I can definitely see that if you like dungeon crawling, that Majora's Mask would be a bit of a disappointment. XD Also, not gonna lie, I think the biggest thing that ruined OoT for me, in hindsight, wasn't really the game itself, but the fans. More specifically, the fanfiction community. I got so sick and tired of reading copious amounts of fanfiction where Link got paired up with Bratty Mary-Sue X and retold the story of OoT only ten times worse. It just kinda made me go "okay, guys, yes. I know Adult Link was hot, but there ARE more Zelda games out there, you know. -.-" It got old SO FAST. That's not to say that I don't recognize OoT as a good Zelda game--as it went from the #2 spot on my list to the #3 spot for me, but I've become more wary of it, so to speak. That being said, I totally agree with you on Twilight Princess. And the only thing keeping me from agreeing with you on Breath of the Wild is the fact that I made my Link a crazed Lumberjack who adamantly refused to wear a shirt, and charged into Hyrule Castle without doing any of the Divine Beasts. XD I was an absolute savage, lunatic of a man, living off the wilderness, wrestling with wild horses, carrying boat-loads of stinky durians, AND I DON'T REGRET ONE BIT OF IT! MWAHAHAHAHA! (Otherwise, yes, I do agree that the plot dragged out too much in BotW. I just didn't notice it because I was having too much fun roleplaying. XD)
Hey Peebs. I doubt you’ll see this, but I just want to say that your videos are one of the only things that can get me to get out of bed during my depressive episodes. I’m not even sure why, but something about them just makes me feel better. So thank you ❤️

Me too!!!

I think it might be in lorule because of things like the same characters with different nsmes/personslity (also with the snowy death mountain)

After playing Ocarina of Time and then Majora’s mask, I remember being so impressed that the day/night cycle happens no matter where you are in Termina.

7:18 YES!!!!!!! I WAS HOPING YOU’D REFERENCE THAT! Memories man.
Man it's so good to listen to your voice again
You are literally my childhood
All I want for Christmas is a PBG collection series redoing Majora's Mask
The great fairy parts are kind of like pieces of heart to me. like, when It's the first of 4 it's like "whatever" but once it gets to the last one it's like "Yes! Gimme!" I have the same feeling in Hollow Knight with the flower delivery side quest. if it's not the last of the mask shards, I don't bother with it, but once it is, I HAVE to do it! I'm thaaaat close to having more health.
You're killing it with the uploads recently dude.
This game has the perfect Halloween vibe for me, so I play it every October as part of my festivities.
Gotta love the CDI music at the beginning of the video. This man got me into speed running that game, and eventually into a world record holder. Props to you Peebs, been watching for 10 years, looking forward to the next 10.
What World Record did you get?
It was any % Hero Mode in Link: The Faces of Evil Remastered
Gee I wonder what a speed run of that would have for dinner.
I didn't even think the CDI games had speedruns tbh
My favorite category is cutscene%…a speedrun to watch all the beautiful masterpieces of cutscenes.

Just more memories and treasures..

The saddest day ever is when Zelda month ends! What an amazing way to close it out! Majora’s Mask is one of the most amazing and unique games of all time! I feel like it utilized the Kubler Ross model of grief. You are the best PBG!
15:44 He hit that "INSPARATION" line really well.
I love how he sings like he pretends he's bad but then he just hits the triple harmony really easily
14:44 - Why does he still pronounce it "Ky-fay"?! It's K A F E I. "Kah-fay!" 🤣

Lmaoooo at @12:00 it did happen to me as a kid, I was soooo weirded out and that's how I discovered that particular side-quest
Skipping across
water as Deku Link is inhibited in comparison to the original, as is swimming as a Zora. You need to use magic in the 3DS version to swim quickly, which isn't required in the original.
Anyway, rant over 😂 regardless, it's an amazing game!
@@garymac5571 I’ve never played the original, I was born in 2002 so I never experienced the n64 era, finding old games is pretty difficult these days
Zelda month has come and gone again, let us always remember the memories and treasures we have gathered along the way
Thanks for raising me, Peebs.
This is a bit of a coincidence for me because of that.
youtube recommended you in my feed for the first time in god knows how long, and my god its a blast of nostalgia seeing you talk about majoras mask, especially remembering the ben drowned video and hacking videos, love your channel man
10:32 "Just put one foot in front of the otheeeeeer. And soon you'll be walking across the floooo-OOO-OOOOOOR!"
With A and joystick apparently

I would love to learn more information about Majora, but at the same time I feel like the mystery of what Majora is makes it better.

Nice to see that things haven’t changed since I stopped watching. I loved these videos when I was younger, especially the G-Files
Honestly, I love the idea of this game having no gimicks for the bosses. It feels like there's enough of that in all the other games, and it's a nice change of formula after its predecessors.
I'm not sure that totally accurate
Ghot is obviously built exclusively around the Goron mask's rolling.
@@Kuma5655 I do like how despite the obvious sign posting, not a single person I know used Deku Link against Oldawa during their first playthrough.

My response: 15:39
This channel is the reason I first downloaded majoras mask on wii virtual console in like 2013
Happy 40th Zelda Month video! This is amazing
This is a certified hood classic pbg moment
The first thing that introduced me to Peebs was when I found his Majoras Mask walk-through(-I mean "Majora's Mask Goron show the show!"). That was back in 2014, and I have been a fan since. Always my #1 TH-camr, and someone that helps me always be excited about Zelda! Glad to finally see a Majoras Mask video too, it's my favorite Zelda game and I always remember some of the jokes from the walk through while playing it which just makes it even better!
Thank you for giving me so many hours of entertainment Austin!
Ah yes. The Zelda game with a timer until the apocalypse, multiple deaths, torture, denial, and murder.
If BotW was like this, I'd have liked it.
It is technically a post-apocalyptic world, but not as dark as the apocalyptic one in MM.
@@bradleyadams5252 I was talking about MM, not BotW.
It’s funny; while I know a lot of people like the deep storylines or the dark atmosphere the most, my favorite part is just collecting the masks lol
Thank you Pbg for many wonderful Zelda months throughout the years and heres to many more! Your videos basically made me a huge Zelda fan

Given how the windwaker video went, the ending to this one is pretty fitting lol
Yeah, perfect accidental foreshadowing

MENACINGLY!
8:45 Uhh... Wrong mask, Peebs. It's the Breman's Mask. Great video otherwise.
My love for Zelda was what brought me to this channel been here for so many years
I used to dislike this game as a kid, purely over very superficial qualities from just one casual first playthrough.
Sorry Bomber kids.)
Maybe it's my altruistic side showing through, but I liked how even if you didn't do anything particularly grand or spectacular like in Ocarina of Time, you still made a sizable impact on all of these people's lives and at the end of the game, you see that. And that, to me, is far greater than any title the three golden goddesses can bestow upon you. ;)
(Again, not to trash your opinion or anything, but I just thought I'd explain my perspective.
XD
Also, not gonna lie, I think the biggest thing that ruined OoT for me, in hindsight, wasn't really the game itself, but the fans.
